  1. is the back half a 2 axle car trailer?
  2. Hey guys, I'm working on a 1988 RW-613 with budd wheels. My customer wants hub piloted steer axle hubs. I either need to buy a pair or get the last "6" of a vin that had these hubs, so I can get a part number.. Thank you, Joey Mack
  3. All you need is a tape measure and a box cutter, a roll of hose, and these fittings, and you can make lines for days.... Jojo
  4. The I.D. of those hoses is 3/8".. that is plenty... There are D.O.T. grade fittings that you build in your hand, they even come with the 5/16" allen wrench to build them. you buy a length of D.O.T. hose and cut it to what you need, screw these fittings in the end and your done... I will look for the name of them.. I have used dozens of these but cant remember the name... Crazy...
  5. That's a great truck... No sweat... many of us here can help you... Can you raise the body and snap some pic of the frame just behind the cab? stand back some to catch as much as possible.. then post them.. I will come back and look.. Jojo .....your in the right place here..
  6. Hello Ben.. I don't recall.. Are you at a Mack Dealership? If so.. You can search the answers in Pro-path, watch the tutorials, and take the tests. You can look back on the classes as needed... NOW.. I've been out of the dealership almost 2 years now, so I do not know of any changes in the education. By no means am I saying you wont get help here, but as you complete pro path, you work your way towards a raise and eligabilty for schools, once classrooms are back in session, that is.. Keep pluggin away at it. jojo
  7. its possible that there isn't a dryer. I would expect this year model to have one, It could have been removed by the previous owner, who knows.. judging by the brake chamber picture, i'm guessing "Pre-trip" was not part of the previous owners day. and maintainance,,, well????.. All of us will help him get his truck fixed up.
  8. I just replaced one on an ASET, it supplied air to the VGT system. I also replaced the bad air filter on that system. the air leak was fixed and the VGT, worked again.. This may not apply, but...... jojo
  9. seems odd to me.. if your on the highway the oil pressure should go up with higher engine speeds. I'm scratching my head.... just for kicks, the round duetch connector for the governor housing..... did you check the wires to see if they are loose or chafed sometimes the pins will move inside the plug and make a poor connection. .. jojo
  10. so true Rob..
  11. it may be one of these..
  12. its bolted to the frame, mostly on the right side. Its round, it may be 8" across and near a foot tall. (AD-9). or it could be half that size with a screw on filter, like a big oil filter.. Look behind the right tank on the frame.... jojo
  13. I have one, its around 20 years old... the name on it is "Steelman"... its still works and is sensitive. I turn the dial down when I use it..
  14. I should have added that to my post Glenn... Glad you posted, jojo
  15. If you post a pic of the air dryer, I should be able to tell you port to hook into.. as far as the airdryer popping off..... that depends on how much pressure the air compressor you are using can make, as long as it put's 100 or so P.S.I. into the truck your good.. 125 would be great.. Once again... The line coming off the top of the trucks air compressor, goes under the cab and changes to a rubber braided hose. It goes to the input of the dryer... jojo
  16. that the air fan control, some have a cutoff on them. I was suggesting hooking air to the air dryer input. Did you make that happen?
  17. May I suggest making a fitting that screws into the air dryer input, so that you can air-up the truck the natural way. The air will be divided between the Primary and Secondary systems, so that you can test the whole system at the same time... The fitting is the #12 JIC fitting in the dryer base. The threads in the dryer are 1/2" NPT. you can follow it back to the compressor disscharge line to I dentify the correct one. The line will be metal braded line coming off the compressor, then under the cab it will switch to rubber, and go down to the dryer.. jojo
  18. Nice I like a CL.. Ok, keep us posted.
  19. Hell Yeah!!
  20. a small leak can do this... Do you have a way to hook shop air to the truck, so you can keep the noise level to a minimum? It makes a big difference. So what year is the truck, Tractor? Dump? Roll-off? what is it?
  21. If you have an air operated engine fan, check the line to the fan clutch.. they can chaffe where it comes up through the shroud. its at 6 O'Clock. Also, the fitting on the front of the fan can leak too. also check the treadle valve on the firewall for leaks, and the tractor protection valve on the firewall, both are next to the steering shaft. jojo
  22. Yes clean the T.E.M. sensor... wash the mess off before you remove it.. Don't "F" around.... Do a good job! Pay attention to the keyway on the sensor. The dented centrimax housing looks to be minor, when you shut the engine you should be able to hear the filter spin down, or have someone shut the truck off and you can feel it spin down, or... just change the housing...It wont effect oil pressure because it will just pump oil through it..
  23. your funny... I bet I'm good.... just a Bump in my road.. Jojo
  24. Amen Brother..... I sometimes look at my 3 pup's, and just "Well-up" They aren't just Dogs.... If people loved each other Half as much as a Dog loves us and we love them..... We would only have to watch the news.... to get the weather report... You Go Dog!! Jojo
