  1. Well, I tried to find tranny I.D..... All I found was: 3-4-R.... and, 95903-H... I tried to find them on the Inter-web, but no luck... I need to bid on a svc manual on E-Bay.... Anyone have any ideas about these numbers? Jojo
  2. Hey bud, Were you able to repair the Cig' lighter sockets? Jojo
  3. When you take the cover off, at the lower edge of the fuse panel is a "bar" with about 8 studs with wires attached to each stud, they may be labeled. If you need to isolate the 2 cigarette lighters in the console, you can tie into the stud that say's battery power for full time power, or to the ign. post if you want key on only power. if you do this be sure to install an in-line fuse holder so you can protect it. The fuse panel by the clutch is called the: E.P.D.M......... Engine Power Dist. Module... That's for what's under the hood, a trailer, and M-Drive or Allison tranny's.. I'm sure I left something out......,Jojo'
  4. I saw that they made them with 2spd rears... Once I get it on the road, i will see what it can do, I'm guessing no more than 55-60 mph, but if the low range power is there, that will be fine too... The G.V.W. is #16,500,, I do not know if it's an O.D. tranny yet... I haven't done anything to it since I got it.. I've been busy with business. But since I posted this, I've been getting Itchy!! 🤫..I will get under it and look at the tranny for I.D...Thanks, Jojo
  5. isnt there a triangular panel on top of the dash with 3 screws holding it down? thats the cover for the fuses... there is a buss bar at the bottom when you look at the panel. keep in mind its a Volvo, all the gray wires are grounds... Jojo
  6. Thanks freightrain, I figure that's what I'm going to do.. I will take it to the grocery store... Butt I also get pallets of truck parts for my business, I can certainly do better with this one. I have a '77 C-30 flat bed, 350 c.i.d., granny gear 4spd... It serves me well, but the KB, well anyway... Thanks , Jojo
  7. Thanks quickfarms... for clearing up my Q's.... It already has new 9.00' s on it.. factory 5spd..... To be honest, I'm done going fast anymore... I like low geared power, and it's a very cool looking truck.... Jojo
  8. On a few issues, like youres, I have removed the teardrop shim behind the cam sensor, ( eng. pos. sensor) and the engine cranked up, did you check the condition of the RPM-TDC sensor in the flywheel housing? The engine can run on one or the other,(not very well) but will run. If the rpm-tdc is bad, loose, dirty, or bad wires, given its location, it gets a lot of dirt thrown at it.. the wires dangle and break down over time. anyway, you are getting a lot of help here, my thoughts are to keep it simple first, and fix what you see is broken.. Good Luck, jojo
  9. yes sir's..... what I mean is ... the yoke rotated a little over 3 1/4 turns to make the wheel rotate once. That's how I got 3.30:1.. ish.. I will still look for numbers on the yoke.. Jojo
  10. I have always rotated the wheel or drive shaft and counted the yoke revs for 1 full turn of the drive tire, When I didnt have the info on paper or a tag. 3.31:1 is one that Int. used, but it was in Scouts. mabey they had a ratio that close back then in this truck... Seem's too high to me... I will just spend the $100.00 on E-bay and buy a service manual. I saw a few listed.. Thank you all for advising me on this.
  11. Hello, Quick farms... I raised one wheel and marked it and the yoke. I turned the wheels and got a small bit more than 3 1/4 turns. I figured it would be about a 3.30:1 ratio, but another "poster" said I need to double that number.... So that would be 6.60:1.... Any thoughts? I cant imagine it would have highway gears...
  12. I'm about to take spokes off an '86 RW and change it to budd's.. That's why I need one more shield.. Jojo
  13. Hello all,,, There is a 1"x1/2" relief on the outside of the diff assembly. it has 396 stamped in it.. i'm still trying to find out what it means.. Jojo
  14. Thanks Alex... Those usually get tossed out during a wheel end repair... I will try to convince my customer to leave them off... Thanks Jojo
  15. thanks Paul, I willl do that. I was going to look for the 2 numbers on the pinion housing... as was suggested in other posts, as well. Jojo
  16. Thanks Mark, I will look for that tomorrow, Jojo
  17. I think it's a 269 c.i.d. .. 100 H.P./ 300 FtLbs of torque... There was a (7something:1) ratio listed in the page I read, but I didnt' believe it.. .. Just for kick's i will jack it up on one side and turn the wheel and count the Pinion rev's... I will post it. 😀 Jojo
  18. Hello Alex.. Have you got one of these dust shields? I am working on an '86 RW and the owner wants them put on the rears. I have 3, Go figure 🤔 Thanks, Jojo
  19. i remember the coolant issue....Jojo
  20. Engine position sensor???? 3-2 right? The 9-2 code can do that too... You Go!! "V"
  21. Yes it does...🤣 Im goin to remove it in the spring time... The glass and seals are in storage.. All new too... I'm going to keep the intermittent wipers though.. Un-like my '73 Scout... this truck didn't come with factory appointed rust... Must not have been an option in '48? ...jojo
  22. Here are 6 more pics of my Old Truck, The sun was very bright! I tried to get as much detail as possible. She runs... I really like the intermittent wipers...🤣
  23. I was thinking that too about the gearing, It may have around a 4:18 or 5:11 rear gear if I looked it up correctly... I may just lift a wheel off the ground, mark it at 12o'clock, then slowly turn it and start counting. It'l probably just be a cool grocery getter... I should be driving it this spring, and yes it will be fun. Jojo
  24. Thanks guy's.. I'm not sure what to put on her back.... It's a toy, not a work truck.. Probably just use it to buy groceries...😁 really I thought about a small camper, Heck,,, I don't know... Throw some ideas at me. Of course a nice rack body would be cool.. Jojo
