    Engine Manual

Is yours a 4valve? If so I have the real shop manual.. I sent the 2 valve book just so you can see the book P/N.. Jojo.
  2. Hello again, i checked with P.A.I... I was not able to buy directly from them,  this is the second time I tried recently.. I have a login name and password with them. My question is, Do I have to be a big truck repair shop or Dealership ? Have you been able to buy from them? I found what I need at another parts supplier, the parts were.... P.A.I.... It reminds me of not being able to buy Kent-Moore and O.T.C. tools directly.. Take care, Jojo

  3. Thank you very much!!!! Jojo
  4. thanks,, I had a brain fart, I dont do as many anymore. I built an e-7 3 months ago, but off course forgot ... Thanks again... I'm getting rusty:)
  5. Yes sir, I know what your saying, My customer wants it original, I may be able to convince him to use bolts... Talked to him today, w'ell see... I think e-7's had sae threads... 5/8x11..... Thanks for youre input, Jojo
  6. I will check PAI,, Thanks again, "F"
  7. ok, Thanks Mack Pro, Im glad you were watching, I dont want to give out wrong info..Jojo
  8. Hello, Does anyone know the part number for the head studs, My studs bores are 5/8X11 thread, The tops are fine thread..? I was about to install my heads and when I opened the boxes of studs that i have. They were smaller, Probably 9/16".... I guess there for an END 18 hole engine.. I have a 20 hole engine.. Thanks, Jojo
  9. I may have misunderstood the question, you said "swap".... I was thinking Horse power rather than whole engine... Sorry, Jojo
  10. Mack Grey Kicks AS#!! I put that Shi% on everything..
  11. dont you also have to install an offset cam key with the white side facing out?? (3 degrees advanced) Jojo
  12. im wondering if the tappets for the power leash were installed wrong on all 6... the pin goes up into the rocker and the cap goes on top of it... was the power leash adjusters backed off? that engine has spring loaded push rods on the exhaust, and pinless intakes but also may have pinless exh. bridges too... there is a lot of room for pushrod stroke if all is backed off like you said..
  13. did you check the "H Rings" to see if they had moved and - or turned??
  14. This is a multi buzzer, it buzzes for air, oil pressure, coolant level, and ....yes the dang turn signal... its annoying, there is a triangular bracket left of the clutch pedal, there is a wide plug that goes to it, you can unplug it...however you need to watch gauges, because now its like an old timey truck where you have to watch the gauges, because there wont be a warning buzzer, also.. if the D.O.T. man pulls you over... plug it back in...JOJO
  15. above the clutch pedal...under the dash
  16. Good morning,, I'm glad you like the posts...I'm off to work.. Merry Christmas, Jojo

  17. I understand... No one wants to do this WORK anymore.. Young;ins are told they can fix them with a laptop at a starting wage of $22/hr... Forget getting greasy,, I tried going back to a Mack dealer to work up into management, I was told that my 20+ years as a Mack mechanic, and I have 5+ years O.T.R. and construction , driving late 70"s Mack RD's and DM's.... was not what they were looking for.. They need a computer person, who can talk to customers... Anyway, this kind of thinking is part of the reason why there are less new mechanics... I have also had people hang up on me when I tell them my Price.... ok, I'm done now..... Merry Christmas.. Jojo
  18. Have you looked inside the EGR cooler? pull the exh. pipes off of it and see if its wet with coolant... pressurize the cooling system to 20psi and look for a leak or bubbles , in the cooler... im scratching my head right now,,,,, just for kicks, pull the air compressor intake tube off and look for coolant there, mabey coming from the air compressor,,, i think the intake for the compressor is before the turbo, in the intake pipe off the air cleaner, older models got the air feed from the intake manifold, which was boosted by the turbo. good luck, Jojo
  19. I forgot to ask if you have mack rears,, also, was there a wear ring on the spindle and you installed 393-0173 stemco, that is why it was tight... the wear ring needs to come off, buff the spindle and if it is not damaged you can use the stemco seal, if it ha light damage, the 2 piece stemco seal kit is what you need... there are specific drivers to do the installs, can you post the stemco seal you used, I have a chart and can cross it that way....
  20. check out a 370022A or 380022A seal.... see if thats the cross....
  21. I do not have a counterbore cutter, YET... In my area there are a few shops that will come out to cut shelves if I need that service.... My rate is $60/hr. from the time i leave my house, to the time I get back.. I try to stay within 30 miles away from jobs.
  22. Im in Salisbury, am I close to you?? I understand if you dont want to say... I just thought if you were close i could come by and help take a look.. Jojo
  23. If the liners arent leaking, you can check the air compressor,,, It may be a longshot... Mabey another "poster" here as another idea.... Good luck, Jojo
