    if you back off the brake shoes, you can put a 1/4'' wide piece of flat stock in the gap. if the flat stock is below the pads your good, if not,,, new shos needed...

    Biggest problem I come across on older axles is worn S cam bushing and worn spiders where the bushings are pressed in. If they are badly worn, it will be impossible to keep the brakes in adjustment and working correctly. YEP !!

    I see a bump on the brake shoe web, likely to be a 4515-Q shoe set, and the wheel seal is like a Natl' 370025A.. GW, makes a good point. Me personally, I'd like to see 4 Maxi's on there, and that is very easy to convert/add on.. 30/30 chambers are common and do quite well.. Jojo

    Thanks Joeh.. works with me at the city,,, 25 years old,,,,, does small excavating work on the side, owns the truck and the equipt.,,,, manual trans,,,, he has a diesel guy so i am stepping out of the picture,,,,, we will see if this truck does good for him for a long time, i only cared because he asked me for some advice, he and our boss man were mumbling some crap about my thoughts, and insulted me as well.. thanks again guys,

    Really,,, non of them will, its just who is the lesser POS at te time, and when the truth comes out nowadays, the brains of those learning it are un-educated, and dont care because thier I-Phone is due for an update... When my generation and the 2 before me die off, problem solved for the corrupt.. all the smart ones will be gone..

    It's kinda funny to me... I felt firm about my opinion of what my buddy was doing to his (new to him) '97 F-450, when all along it is ME that needs the education.. I guess I don't know as much as I thought I did when I was concerned about burnig valves..

    I was instantly surprised by the lack of security coverage on the grounds, and the slow reaction to the spectators who were yelling and pointing at the shooter. My goodness, if you are watching him through a scope, tag the roof next to him to stir him up. or 1 to the lower leg. screw protocol, stop the A-hole, and kill him when the time is right.. I obviuosly have no experience in law enforcement, or sniping, another slow reaction to an A-hole, much like the Uvalde shooter..

    7-900ft i guess ,,,, hell i dont know,, just a redneck 25 year old who wants to wave his diesel dick around,, i was just trying to help him from blowing the engine.. like I said... i dont know anything about this diesel engine..

    ok,, Thanks GW... I really have no knowledge of this and any other small diesels.. I just see so many youngin's trying to roll coal and spin tires and pull bigger loads than the truck is rated for, and I scatch my head.. I just need to stick to Macks,,,

    Guess I need to hit the books. I thought turbo spooling and boost was congruent.. I guess i'm thinking wrong. I guess i wa thinking of making too uch boost and cause high chamber pressure and high heat for the head, pistons and valves..

    shouldnt the turbo have back pressure on it to keep it from spooling too high? his 7.3 does not have a CAC..

    Thanks GW,, My reaction wasnt good when he said 1450.. I figured I was right, but he looked at our boss man and they made some smug remark and smile at me.. I guess I will just stop trying to help and just wait for the story about engine issues.. I am a Yankee in the South .. Too funny,, Oh, where do I get good door mirror frames for MY KB-7?

    so how do you guys feel about pyro temps at 1450 degrees.. I asked him what temps he is running in his '04 duramax, which is also straight piped,, to help me learn about these small diesels. I guess i am ashamed at how little I know about diesels..
