  1. The back up light and alarm will be here tomorrow. I have bumper mounted turn signals coming today for the front. I need to get a pair of mirrors for Sanford. I want west coast style mirrors, but I see small round mirrors mounted to the door hinges, in some of the pictures I have looked at.
  2. It amazes me at times about how long it takes to install parts, and It looks so simple when done. Im taking a break. May just drink some bevvies and watch Football.. 🍺
  3. They look like CH/CL hood springs..
  4. Mech... 29'000 people have come here.. I bet 1or 2 are sideways... 🍻
  5. You're spell corrector is at it again.. 🍻
  6. The shield on the back of the hub resembles those on the B Model. And the inner seal as well.. i am in no way smart about B Models.. i have done a lot to a few of them, but not enough to post correctly.
  7. Bob... I looked in my Library of Mack books and I dont have info about wheel ends for any '66 Macks. What range of years shared the same wheel end parts ?
  8. Same here. The originator had issues with some of the comments, as I was a witness. The next day it was gone. Frankly, the reaction was childish. Smart guys gave smart advice and experience related to the posting.. You didnt miss much on that post..
  9. GW.. my idea is to mount as much of the original parts that I have to make it look like 1948 again. Of course i dont have the correct paint and decals. I took the horn apart and sand blasted it before paint. I think it will work, it was really clean inside. The voltage regulator looks to be good too, but its there for looks. I may attach some wires to it to make it look like it functions.
  10. Well Bob, I didnt make excuses.. I spent time in my shop. I ran some modern wireing and hid it under the seat in this side compartment.
  11. Not sure what you mean.. post a picture. Those rears. Will leak in a couple spots.
  12. You sir seem to be very smart about them GW... Ive seen a few, but dont know much. I like your idea of re- lining them. And he needs to keep his cores if there is a ready made shoe..
  13. '79.. model year.. brake # is stamped in the webbing. post a good full screen pic of the shoe
  14. Bob. Are the brakes a 4515 ? If so, spring kits are everywhere. Also how did you try to find the wheel seal number ? Stemco has cross reference charts on-line. Also.. is your DM a '79 ?
  15. When i did the flywheel swaps the same trans went right back in.. 2" input..
  16. E-6 will accept the E-7 flywheel for the 15 1/2" clutch. Input shaft is the same 2" shaft. Bell housing on the eaton can be removed and fitted With a Mack bell housing...
  17. GW. I agree.. i happen to own a large selection of Stemco drivers as well as CR/Nat'l drivers. Im thinking most folks dont have them. Just sayin
  18. As long as the spindle is not pecked with chisle marks or a groove around it. The stemco voyager series will be my choice. Like mech said, no special tools needed, and a kiss of oil on the outside (even though they say install dry) and work the seal in hand before install. 👍
  19. A, B model that i updated had an inner seal, and the outer bearing was greased, the inner was oil bathed. Hence the seal you have.. post a picture of inside the hub.
  20. It looks like the seal was installed with RTV and when you pulled the hub, the inner part of the seal stayed behind. Like GW said,,,, dont use a sharp punch to split it.. you will mess up the spindle.
