  1. Where the rockers pivot on the shaft. Deep scratches can happen, putting the rocker in a bind. You can here them chirping at times, keep in touch.. jojo
  2. Definitely check the shaft for gauling, common issue was the hold down bolts would loosen or break, and the plugs on the ends of the shaft would pop out and affect oil pressure. Is there anything loose in the top that may have gotten wedged in the valve spring?

06' is an ASET IEGR in the granite.. MP-7 is a 2007 and later engine. can you post pictures of the door tag and the engine?
  4. Good find on the relay.. I dont see you as complaining at all.. it's all good.. thanks for the update. I'm curious what HP it is. pulling 20MPH faster is impressive to me.. Wonder if you have a 460 EECU program?
  5. gotcha'.. Ok, I definately dont know.. have you sent a PM to The Heinz? He has access to Mack parts look-up.. And he always willing to help...
  6. I assume the transmission is a Manual. probably Eaton FRO16-210C.
  7. ok,, if the Remack eng. was installed based on the Vin: it is likely a 355/380 HP. I am not able to search by serial number, only by memory.. Jojo
  8. what year and model Mack is it in?
  9. So this past Tuesday, Biden announces he is giving Africa 1 billion dollars in relief aid money. Meanwhile western North Carolinians have to wait for FEMA to get off their a$$es, and give aid. 103 trailers are supposed to be delivered, but only 46 have been delivered.. Whats the hold-up Joe??? The traillers are sitting in the lot ready to pull down the road.. I guarantee their are truckers out there that would gladly come get these trailers and bring them to where they need to be.
  10. They went to a ceramic roller lifter to stop the previous lifter failures. If well maintained, she' ll go a million miles.
  11. A broken belt in the tire. Have you jacked it up to check the tire for damage or buldges? And check for play in the bearings ,king pin, and steering links.
  12. what about Elon ? what say u?
  13. you are correct about the red wire routing. just for kicks, on the black relay looking thing next to the relay.... remove the single wire and put it on the other post and re-test.. that black thing is called a ground breaker... it's a major elec. part.. if it fails, you have what you have now.
  14. I read this again, the heater fan thing is interesting, I know they draw a lot of amps. any chance you saw the alternator gauge when this issue happens? i'm curious if there was a major voltage drop, or even a spike..
  15. which one is the beast?
  16. if it has the type im thinking of, its under the cup holder, behind the switch panel.. I forget when they went from that type, to the cube type in the fuse area. there may be a vertical row of them to the left of the fuse panel.
  17. Wheres the FLD?
  18. I did a TRD 72 a couple years ago, and got my Gaskets from Trans-Axle in Concord/Charlotte N.C.
  19. One if the wires on the relay on the firewall is cab power. It is on the post with 2 other wires. I assume you checked the battery cables and ends. You say the cab goes dead.. so nothing, not even the radio, horn dash lights, ect. Works? Does it have the acc. relay in the top center behind the dash panel?
  20. Go Woke,,,, Go Broke !!
  21. are the gaskets leaking exhaust? if not, you can try to re-seal the lower studs. remove them and clean the threads, then put High temp RTV on them and re-install.. It's a slippery slope but, you can try it. Hopefully the nuts come off, or remove the nuts when the studs are out. They are m12x 1.75 thread, flange nuts.. the final torque is 100lbft, in 3 rounds, 25lbft, then 50lbft, then 100lbft.. I have had some luck doing this without removing the manifold and doing all 12, but like I said, slipery slope.. and hopefully the gaskets dont spring a leak.. one bad gaskets means the whole thing comes off.. oh,, the depth of the stud is about 3/4''...
  22. Pete, S.S. is a soft metal. PAI has decent studs for sale. What have you done to stop the leaks up til now? Yes the lower studs go into the push rod bore, and you can hit the push rods if you dont understand the set up.. Can you elaborate a bit more? jojo
  23. He's on the move guy's..... Git'r Done !!
  24. Lets not forget the peaceful protesters rotting in jail, because they were at the capitol on Jan. 6 th 2021...
