  3. Both of you guys,,, Mech, and GW are full of knowledge.. Listen to them Coulton.... Jojo
  4. I bet,, Mechohaulic will know !!
  5. Be careful Heinz,,, those salesmen might be on here.. of course you havent told us which city your in. 😉
  6. When you say it doesnt work, do you mean that the compressor doesnt kick on? What code is the APADS unit flashing?
  7. i just like the look of spoke wheels.. Classic, and strong too.. i'm glad my 48' has them..
  8. you can,,, just be sure to not warp it and it needs to be flush with the leading edge of the spindles seal area, or it will leak, also when you are sure about how you are goining to install the seal, put a light bead of RTV on the leading edge of the spilndle and once it's seated wipe off the excess RTV.. should be just fine after that..
  9. Is it me?? Or are Australian trucks just better looking and tougher looking? I always like the pictures of Aussie truck's..
  10. Paul,, I relate to some of what you say. times have changed.. quickly at that.. I say run the E-9 as it is. E-6 and E-7 's are very reliable.. You talk about 70 G's for a built E-9.. Makes me think of how it would cost me $1,500.00 + to build my small block chevy to have the power and ability that a friggin V-6 in a modern car would have, and it would still pass me in a race. With that said, I have 2 S.B.'s and 1 B.B. Chevy engine that I need to freshen up... Sure wish I was wealthy..
  11. I was cleaning out my service truck and found these lovly jewels.. this is the new ''Old School'' https://photos.app.goo.gl/6PLFsP22rSkSwdvC8
  12. I love the pictures of the older trucks... I have to laugh at myself.. I am a smart A$$ at work and so-on, when it comes to Real Trucks.. I say, ''Hell I don't know how to operate and automatic truck''... no-one gets it.. anyway, yesterday I proved myself right... I had to move a 2022 T680 yesterday only about 30 feet, we were unloading the trailer, and the driver was in the bathroom taking a hippie shower.. so I jumped the seat,,,, It took me 2 solid minutes to figure out how to put in in gear... I was lost..... I had never seen a shifter on a wand on the steering column outside of heavy equiptment.. Yep,, I don't know how to drive automatic truck's... I did find it myself though.... I want to drive a DM now... Dammit !!!
  13. After a hand full of clutch jobs in DM's, the first thing I do is take the right door off. And the last models made, if you had to pull the rear valve cover, and it has Jacobs engine brakes, you had to remove the right cab mount and jack the cab up to get the valve cover off.
  14. Awesome work by you and the crew !!!!! Can you post that picture of it in the ditch, and a pic or 2 of the repair process, then the finished product? kind of a before - during- and after thingy..
  15. O.D? got any pictures of some nice looking 'Seat Covers'??? I think the Winfall Wal-Mart has some..
  16. Why,??? your just gonna hurt it. What transmission and rear end ratio??
  17. Cornpop's current campainge ad is a joke,, and it sounds to me like Robert Di' Nero is happy to do the voice over for the B.S. ad... What a waste...
  18. Well, it goes to show me that what I was told by an old timer 20+ years ago wasnt quite right.. Too funny, I cant tell you how many guys I told that the DM was offset for visibilty while backing up, because of the trucks application.. Never even gave a thought to engine position... Thanks for the info.. Jojo
  19. I might just steel his idea,,, I like it,, I also have about 50' of DOT tape in the shop...
  20. Im on a site for IH's called Binder Planet..
  21. Are the engine computers in both trucks the same? If so, swap them. I wonder if there is a programming issue?
  22. My guess he is from Mexico and doesnt know how to post well in english.. now about the truck... Mech ?? it's 2019... need I say any more??
  23. Amen Hippy.. there was several times the top blew out in the baghouse.. I didnt have to clean up or repair those issues, but it sure did suck when the cement dust or fly ash floated into my shop, that was less than 50' from the silo's .. what a damn mess.. at one point the company had to pay for paint repair on a close by bussiness, because the dust was so bad.. BTW,,, It wasn't my wife that blew the top off that time
  24. Bob, you sure have some work to do there.. is it easier with the hood on the truck? just curious.
