I had similar experience with Mazda 5 spd. I beleive it was an M5R2... The F-150 i was working on lost 5th. After 2 salvage yard trannys with the same issue, Ijust took the trannys back, and brought my tools with me. They let me pull the top covers off all the Mazda trannys they had... When i was done, i left with no tranny and a refund, and they said those trannys were going to the scrap pile.. i never did finish the job, the owner threw in the towel..

you may be able to make up a fitting to attach to the banjo fitting port on the rear side of the head. I dont remember if there are any plugged ports in the heads fuel gallery.. -

Not sure if im helping, but the fuel enters the rear port on the side of the head, and comes out through the port on the front of the head..
