  1. Glad you got it apart, yes, it looks like talk to text.. all good.
  2. You can use your favorite pen. oil, i use Kroil or PB Blaster..
  3. soak the joints with Kroil, the twist and tap with a dead blow..
  4. 2007 is not an E-7.. and if it is an actuall 2007, it is an MP... if it turns out to be a Mack engine, if it does not have the EGR valve and the huge turbo, then it is a replcement for the boat anchor you currently have.
  5. I truly understand..... My first wife had that diagnosis. It was Devistating.. Do the best you can to keep it together.. Jojo
  6. all good buddy. you have a couple threads going, but its cool.. You are in need of answers.. as you can tell there is a bunch of us helping you steer the ship.. Jojo
  7. if the center section is good.. RE-USE IT !! Volvo is proud of that part, and it may be on national backorder.. put eyes on it !!
  8. what kind of shape is your center exh. section? is it cracked behind the turbo port?
  9. There is some space below the axle. The bull gear is very close to the bottom if the sump, and that thick oil can allow the bullgear to pick up chunks and bring them up to the spur shaft .
  10. Any chance the low air bulb is swapped with another bulb socket? Like the highbeam, and the high beams are on?
  11. I cant remember, but when you find it, you can pull a wire off to see if the low air light goes out. If it does, you will need a normally closed pressure switch with an 80 PSI pop pressure.
  12. Well, hopefully no pieces got into the differential inside the bull gear. Good luck..
  13. Lots of people say that Obama is working the puppets strings.
  14. Well, you really need to pull the gear sets out. There will be chunks laying in the bottom. Where did the shaft snap? Did you drive a long time with it broken? I will post more after you post answers, pics of the axle will help, salvage yard axle just needs to be checked, look for sharp splines..
  15. Check fuse 40 in the fuse box on the fire wall, top center below the wind sheilds . EECU fuse, 25 amps, clear in color.
  16. I recently had to buy 4 deck dowels and a long butress bolt.. I spent 30 minutes (Behind the counter) showing the MACK parts guy how to find what I needed.. He was a good guy, just had no training on E-Tech engines.. The last series of MACK engines before the MP series.. It isnt like I was looking for parts for an AC Mack.. a frigging CH... E-Tech Engine By God !!!!
  17. these are the 2 full gasket kit numbers minus head gaskets.. if this is still available, I would consider buying them.. I also posted the 20 bolt head gasket part number. is your's 20 bolt? the head gaskets are the only difference that I know of... I am by no means an END or E-6 guy.. This is just what is in my shop right now.. I know you are not this deep in the engine, just hoping these part numbers are good info for you, Jojo
  18. Turbo studs on ASET are different
  19. Shepards typically use 15W40,.. the sector shaft seal is inside the box, if you take it apart, look at the shaft for a groove at the seal area. Hope fully its just a worn seal.
  20. I should know,,,, but i dont. Im weak when it comes to E-6's..
  21. I have and ENDT 673 non-engine brake boat anchor in my parts area. are those cams the same?
  22. Forgive me JoeH,, He can take the side covers off and hold the lifter with small spring clips, like the ones at harbor freight, days ago guys would use cloths pins.. I wish the side covers were used after the E-7..
  23. i meant to say ''if you cant get the oil'' sorry. as far as oil grades, I was shocked when the MP came out and it uses 10W30, I think they use 5W30 now.. Too me, a heavy oil can handke more torque, of course bearing and bushing tolerences matter too. hows the suspension job going?
