  1. Hey Tom!! are you guy's OK?? there is a weather warning right now about a tornado...
  2. I got it!! perfect..
  3. I thought about this a bit. I have driven hybrid cars for my city job. It seems like a good combo. one of them is a small Ford 'something'.. It actually had a lot of pep in it's step, and kept up with I-85 traffic. As far as big trucks, I guess it can work well, it's the full electric trucks that I don't want. I always thought the advertised range of E.V.'s was exaggerated. showing a p/up towing a big boat or camper in the foothills, or one racing across the deseert slinging sand, B.S.!!! anyway... to me it adds to the safety of the driver, ever since the DPF issues came about, all I can think of is a driver trying to do his job, but cant because the truck layed down. now he is stuck on the side of the road, ( not safe). middle of winter and no heat, ( not safe), out of battery power and no charger anywhere, I guess i'll stop here.
  4. I'm not sure I like this.. I watched the video, yes, it's impressive, but to me it is also depressing... They are feeding the electric vehicle mandates that non of us need.. sorry guys... not a fan right now..
  5. Ok, so if you remove the teardrop shim behind the RPM/TDC it may just fire up... I have done this many times.. I'm not saying that it will fix it, but with the weak early front covers, there has been issues with the clearance. I dont have the measurements, because ... well,, I dont. LOL.. the cam has a stout thrust washer and a waliking cam is not in the cards.. if it walks just a little bit there will be some clashing..
  6. I accidentally deleted my response. I thought i put it in the wrong thread..sorry as far as the flickering, I say loose grounds. I will post a procedure. 9-2 code.pdf
  7. One way to check V-Mac 1+2 is... If you shut the engine off and it shuts off immediatley, its V-Mac 1... A 5 second delay, V-Mac 2... There are other ways
  8. I dont remeber, however, why do you need one? it is a mechanical engine with 3 sensors.. oil/temp/timing... (assuming you have the electric governor on the injection pump) what issue are you trying to fix?
  9. have you un hooked those lines and flipped the splitter to see if air is delivered.?
  10. JoeH and I were typing at the same time. See what i mean?
  11. The EUP is the high pressure fuel pump. Each cylinder has one. They are on the right side under the chrome shields below the turbo. Dont be so quick to buy news just yet. The wires on those are known to run through and short out and that is an easy fix in most cases.. just keep up with us and we will guide you..
  12. Your a Good Man Charlie Brown..
  13. Miller Lite will help that from the inside out.. No Good Deed Goes Un-punished
  14. check fuse #40 in the engine fuse box. check the big ground bolt in the block in front of the starter. theres more, get back to us..
  15. Did you plug the 2 small 90 degree plugs in at the valve cover , and under the valve cover? If so, you need to go into the EECM and turn the engine brake on.
  16. This is a 10 year old posting. However you can adjust the D-2 governor down to 125 PSI.
  17. yes I feel sure you can.. you are just trying to have air pressure on the ready that will be used as the shift knob asks, when you select ranges.. there are 2 range shifters, so you need 2 supplies.. air dont care, it just needs to be delivered..
  18. transmision range shift do not require large amounts of air, just, directed pressure..
  19. yes..
  20. so air is delivered in 2 spots because you have a range fork and a splitter fork. both need air pressure on the ready. the pilot is what tells it to shift up or down. the air supply to the DC-4 can come directly from the secondary tank with a protection valve, or you can steal air with a ''T'' fitting in the main air feed to the range valve. I am not a Guru when trying to type this.
  21. you did,, sorry, i read it too fast..
  22. does your truck have the neutralizing air control for P.T.O. operation? if not, thats the wrong diagram. I have all the Mack books for this but before, I post any thing that may ad confusion
  23. it sounds like the fuel pick up line is clogged, take the fitting off and see what comes out, a milk jug makes a good catch can..
  24. Bendix DC-4...
