  1. FJH, did say something that I have had to fix before.. I had to go behind the first guy, because he didn't use any rubber bands to hold the little plungers up inside the rockers and got a few of them side loaded. I had to replace the rockers because there was a groove inside the bore from the crooked plunger..
  2. whoever gets to drive this one, had better be greatful.. The work that you guys are doing is really nice, and you didn't give up on the wrecked older truck.. Awesome... Jojo
  3. Me Too... Snowdog
  4. Yes #2, I don't have specs.. the EUP may not be the issue.
  5. Ok.. check the wires for the EUP's they are known to rub against the engine block and short out. Be very careful with the 5mm screws. They do NOT come out. Just loosen them and slide the terminal back and up and out. I recommend taking all 6 sets loose and stretch the harness out.. it seems like it's an 8-2 code. The second number represents the EUP #
  6. What year and body is the truck
  7. Need to send them to the states.. ours are junk..
  8. I am really glad that you posted the fix and a picture.. Too many guys throw money and parts at the issue, when in many cases its a wire.. I preach this 90% of the time. well really 100%, but you get my drift.. You are proof to the next guy that you need to diagnose the issue, not try to buy the repair.. Jojo
  9. yep. its plastic and has quick connects.. great for the assembly line, totaly sucks for the owner/mechanic
  10. DD's?? Hell, I didnt see my wife in the pic's. I guess I need to look again..
  11. that air manifold is a common problem. its all quick connects, and they spring leaks. some of those are straight through, but when you look close you will see galleries connecting the ports.. so drilling out the leaker and installing a small union, may not work.. it will cause other issues. if you have enough line to trim 1/2'' off and re-insert it, you can try that, but we just replaced the whole manifold.. you will have to work on both sides of the firewall.. I suggest you stock up on 'curse words'. youll need 'em....
  12. He will be Jewish next November and December..
  13. Its sad.. here in Charlotte, the crimes of car theft and vandalism and shootings, really all crimes,, is starting at the age of 12, and many are between 14 and 17 years old.. This is what happens when a man makes a baby but doesnt be a Dad to that baby.
  14. info?? did you use the magic wand to scroll through the codes? the odometer kind'a scared me a bit.. 😈
  15. good deal, yes it could be more ''mechanic'' friendly.. glad you got it out with out damage, I forgot about the A/C lines..
  16. Hey Mack Hamer??? can you post some pics from both sides, not close ups? I get mad at myself when I cant answer a question like yours because I know these trucks, but I am rusty on the fine details for some reason..
  17. Macks... did you take a minute to roll through the 124 pages?
  18. I tried to create a post about part numbers a couple of weeks ago, but didnt do a good job of it. I was able to find the complete copy of a book that I have. It covers a lot different parts of the truck. it is 124 pages, and has Mack part numbers that you can use when you call Watt's Mack to buy the parts. I hope you find this to be better than my last attempt to help people find part numbers. there are E-6 and Gas engine part numbers, for example. Jojo KSA&A Book.pdf
  19. You must have the setup with about 1 inch of space. I'm a bit rusty, but I think I took the fan blade loose and slid it to the engine and then took out the clutch bolts.. I may have removed all but 1 clutch bolt first, and got the last one loose, then took the fan blade loose.. I may have drained a couple gallons out, so i could take the top hose off the radiator and loosen the supports to lean the radiator back.. the hood will need to be supported. At least you can stand inside the hood opening.
  20. Standard bearing... If you see a p-2 that's .010" over, p-3 is .020" over..
  21. Well, there goes the easy part..
  22. aux shaft bushing issue is like hens teeth.. when you drop the pan, roll the engine and look for machinist stamping. if the crank was turned there will be a measurement stamped in the counter weight at the journal that was cut.. also, when you push the bearings out, (1 at a time) .. when you look at the part number, there should be a P-1,P-2 ect. if they are not P-1.. the journal was cut. this will help you choose the correct bearing thickness.. and yes, rods and mains will improve oil pressure.
  23. Space-x launches a 400' rocket with 39 engines and it failed and explode, plus it dropped junk to the ground or atmosphere.... and the rocket people are ok with it.... but my old Chevy truck is destroying the ozone layer, along with all of everything we drive accept E.V.'s. even though to produce an E.V. you have to burn fossil fuel... Yep, I'm Dizzy now.. what say you.??
  24. I would be proud to own that truck... even with out the crane.. 👍
