I dug through all my small Mack parts and only found 2 straight keys.. This is how they get us.. Make essential small parts obsolete. I wish I had a crystal ball 10 + years ago.. I may have bought a few of them, as well as other smalls.. Mack's price is $85.00.. I saw a PAI version for $103.00.. None in stock..

Geoff,, there was dead air on the phone. What also got me was that he was sure they didnt sell that part, and didnt even ask a co-worker or the manager to help him help me.. No concern for serving the customer... Young'ns have no clue how to ''serve'' folks..

It was hard to speak and grind my teeth at the same time... I called back and got my regular guy.. all good then, of course Mack is out of stock, and so is PAI...

Just need to get this tension off my chest. I just called my local Mack parts Dealer and asked for an offset cam key for an E-Tech.. The line went quiet, and then I hear, uhhh we don't have anything like that here. Then he says, we are a Mack dealer sir.. My blood pressure went up instantly.. I said,,,,,, AN E-TECH IS A MACK ENGINE... Anyway, I feel better now... Thanks, Jojo

Since it's a Granite.. I bet one of the rear wheel sensors has a bad wire.. keep it simple. ABS ecu are pretty tough. The ABS wires are supposed to be clipped to the s-cam housing , when they fall off they can get damaged. But I would focus on the engine code anyway.. how did you get those code names by using blink codes with the cruise control buttons?

Speaking of piston cooling nozzles, I didn't see any in the ENDT 673 that I have.. I even looked again yesterday..

That's what I have. I traced a target on plexi glass 20+ years ago and made mine. Knocked the flux off a welding rod as well.. 🤣

yep, I need to take it off that stand and put it on the wooden engine pallet so I can get the flywheel housing on. I also have to put the injection pump coupler together.. The book i'm using is just 'ok'.. the assembly sequence is not very clear. I pick at this one between chores and the E-Tech that I have on a stand. as you know.. I am expecting the new lifters for it soon. Then I can do the cam bushings and get the cam set installed, run the valves, and get the 3 covers on that one.. I use heavy plastic sheets and magnets to hold the plastic up to protect the open bottom end in the shop. Thanks for the comments. I hope you get a good outcome with your tractor. Jojo

CHU? do you have any pictures of the engine, how is the condition of the frame, any history on the rear ends? Eaton rears or Mack? Like any truck, if it was well maintained it can last a long time. Eaton transmission? if so, probably an FRO 15-or-16 210 C.. decent tranny, millions of them around, the synchro is a common repair, but easy to do and not too expensive.. Welcome to the Dog Pound..
