  1. M.C. I really do appreciate what you posted... I am one that is sucked into the B.S. I get wound up.. I wish our votes counted, I wish it was honest, but it's not.. I do post on this thread a lot, so I am trying to avoid being a hypocrite.. My love for our nation is strong, and so is my anger.. Here at our little humble abode, we are able to provide for our selves.. I need to add a bit more self sufficient things here.. Thanks, Jojo
  2. Mech,, it is... the blower and condensor core is under the passanger seat.. it uses the engine mounted compressor. It works better than your typical 'R' A/C system, but adding a fan in the cab to circulate helps..
  3. The name ''GSD'' means...... Get SH!T Done !! He's a character.. I have done a lot of work for him and his company.. since I left to work for the city, I was told today that some of the work I used to do is now being sent to Upstate N.Y. to one of our BMT Brothers.. They are great at what they do.. I would like to post their name but dont know if it is appropriate. Jojo
  4. The tri axle is one that I did a lot of work too.. No paint work. I did engine, trans, all suspension replacement, wheel ends, electrical, and more.. He saw the RW on my business card and went nuts.. He has 4 of them now.. the one in the above pics is an E-9 500, and a 15 sp. Eaton.. I have about 3 total hours in the Big Seat.. it's nice.. Jojo

  6. I went to Mooresville today to pick up some E-6 parts.. My friends Super Dog dump truck is done and working daily.. here is a before and after.. the other 2 picks are of his bone yard..
  7. this posting has my attention now.. I was going to leave it, but I changed my mind... JoeH,, you posted some real good info.. I have that book,, I got it after I went to V-Mac school when I was at a Mack dealership.. I'm glad to see that these books are for sale on line.. I have 3 sets of driveline books.. 2 to sell... but so far know one is interested..
  8. I doubt it.. I think yours is too old to derate for a VSS code.. just because,,, inspect the wires for the sensor, the plug is probably on top of the transmission... not sure what transmission you have, but,, if its a screw-in sensor,, remove it and inspect the end of it.. if its good,, put it back in til it touches then back it our 1 FULL turn, and lock it down... drive it over 7 mph to clear the code,, then recheck your codes..
  9. V-MAC_Fault_Assignments.pdf 35.61 kB · 1 download.url 4-1 is a VSS code.. the speed sensor on the transmission out put seal housing.. I added a codes list that you can print and save.. Jojo

  13. Im only 54 and my knees and ankles hurt so bad, its hard to walk... I made my self climb a 30 foot ladder today at the water plant.. I did it and felt like proud about it.. Crazy....
  14. I can understand what you say, Mech....
  15. I wanted to ask also... Just curious.
  16. We used to drain the coolant on them and put a rubber glove over the coolant pipe at the EGR cooler, and start the engine. If the glove inflates, then you have a gas leak..
  17. Is this an MP engine?
  18. Yes terry, I did see that.. I was hoping he would post pictures of the shift pattern sticker, shift knob, and/or the stamping in the side of the tranny.. I think the 206G was a 6 SPD. In one box.. Jojo
  19. EXACTLY !!!!
  20. Yes Sir... I had to put my '48 to the side for a bit. I had repairs to the house and a couple of our trucks, and a bunch of small chores.. I pick at chores during the week, but on Saturday I get a bunch done, and Sunday is a half day.. and today.. a guy who's engine ive had for 3 years, is ready for me to come get a bunch of parts, so I can get back to it.. It's hard to work on my own stuff for long periods of time... Oh well....
  21. yes terry it does,,, right away.....
  22. well a couple popular models were the 2070 and a 2060.. is the shift pattern label behind the sun visor? if not you can clean the area behind the big fill plug. the model is stamped into the main housing along with the part number.. they had air shift for low range (Un-synchronized) there will be a blue button on the front of the knob.. pictures always help us to help you.. Jojo
  23. rubber boot still there intact or have the usual rip allowing crud oxidation.
  24. terry??? you ever break one of the 'dogs' off the pressure plate when trying to adjust a clutch that has been hammered to death, and your trying to get every bit out of it, but it's stuck, jammed up with clutch dust in the teeth on the adjuster ring??? I have.. That sucks...
  25. no sh!t... thats a new one for me.. I never tried that.. I have a crank handle that bolts in where the locking tab bolt goes.. I have even used a large screwdriver and pointy bar to make adjustments.. so do you turn the flywheel 360, then check free play? and keep doing it till its set?
