Considering selling the Mack due to unforeseen issues with COVID. We want to see if there is any interest here. I’ve got about $5000 in it, runs really well, drives good, air brakes and horns all work. It needs wiring work, as I haven’t starting tackling that. Got some new Autolite 386s in today, it is running quite nicely. Hard to believe how well it started with really old plugs, these engines are quite hardy.

For purists I apologize, but the switch to radials on the front improved as much as the single drive radials. A much improved ride

I bought a cheap one online, cleaned the tank first, a second in-line filter, wired to an existing switch. It works a dream, you don’t need but a couple psi to maintain just slight pressure.

License plates arrived today, so took a few trips around town in it to get it exercised. Now waiting on steer tires, but at least we can put around town.

The Wisconsin title and lifetime registration (for as long as I own it) came today. The License plates are mailed separately, but should be here next week. My daughter is excited to take a ride, so far only my son has ridden in it when we picked it up. Can’t wait to get it in the car wash and clean the hubs and undercarriage up a bit.

A very conscious decision was made on this truck to take it small task at a time and keep it operational. We will slowly take care of little items, and share photos along the way. I am going to treat it as never ending tinkering... otherwise I will get anxious and want to do more than I should.

Steer tires are ordered from a local logging truck fleet manager. Wheels in soon and he is grabbing A nice pair of used 11R22.5. He will bring the service truck, so that will be easier than manually removing the duallies 😂

Sounds like it may be another 5 or 6 weeks for the mail-in plates and registration. Really too bad... local cops will ticket you, which is strange because I have proof of payment and they let atv/utvs drive on the street here in town.

Seats are in and should last for a while, a nice $20 fix for blankets and batting. The foam needed to be used up anyway...

The seat rails freed up nice and I got a coat of rustoleum slate blue (flat) on inside of the cab for now. Hopefully can sand it up and paint the cab interior this winter.

Work, a restoring a house, buying another house, and launching a drone company as part of the pandemic response are keeping my progress slow... However, the home upholstery is coming along slowly...

Sent off for my Wisconsin Title and Collector Plate. It limits the load I can carry, no operation in January, but not really an issue for me. As I understand, I can still pull a trailer... which is the bulk of what I would be doing for a parade float, etc.

I am excited to see more of it. If it is drivable and fairly rust free 4K seems fair. As a recent a A40 buyer, that is ballpark to what I paid. My truck runs and drives well, interior is a complete do over, tires needed replaced, and the lights need some work. I don’t have rust, but I have a lot of patina, and it would take a full-resto to be a show truck. Mine has strong air brakes...we are slowly making it a pseudo daily driver around town. These things are cool, so they are worth much more than that to me. I think the wrong hotrodder could snatch them all up and butcher them with money doubling efficiency. Sadly they are worth twice these prices as rat rod cabs.

Passenger handle broke off and a horrible farm fix has been there for years. Photo of driver side working, passenger side broken, and metal through door to hold closed... Anyone know if these are interchangeable from other models.

It would be tight, but the truck would come up quite a bit as it has small fronts 9.00 20s. I think some matching rims and 11 or 12 r22.5 should do the trick just fine.

Wife and kids say narrows in the front. Very happy with the improved gear ratio and ride... considerably more comfortable without a load on it. Also happy with the width out back, now inline with the rest of the truck
