  1. Just asked on the E Model Registry if she was yours, Mike. Now I can see she is. Awesome stuff, mate. She's a beaut!
  2. Will do, Don. That's an old EHU. I'll have to check if she's the oldest so far. Mike, awesome EF1S. She yours? Would love to find something like that and have been entertaining ideas (again) of importing one to Australia. Speed, yes I did hear about you moving the E on. Sorry I didn't reply earlier. Your message was got me started back along the road to 'recovery' as it were. Hope you can keep in touch with her. Hope you find one to replace her. Great stuff, Josh. The EHT looks pretty straight (?).
  3. Looking good, RS120. Keep chipping away, mate!
  4. Thanks Ironman Dan and FDNY. I will add these two to the registry shortly. Just come off a non-stop stint at work and not too keen about sitting in front of a computer at the moment!
  5. Looks like she listens to you too, Rob.
  6. That is really not nice. Print up a pay slip with a suitable 'deduction' on it a payback.
  7. Looks like a bit of history there, Grandpa. Have you had her for long or just picked her up?
  8. Hi John

Just saw the pic of your LJSW on the Phily fire thread. Do you have any more pics of her? You've done a superb job.

    Cheers and Merry Christmas

    Andy

  9. Waiting (and trying to do it patiently) for photos of E Models to arrive. Keeping expectations low as they might be pretty rough. Not the best time of year to wait for somethig in the mail!

Did you mail me? If so, I tried to answer but this website won't let me.

I did about a month ago I think. I'll try to contact you direct and off-forum.

  10. Hope everyone has a good and a safe one.
  11. Wow. I reckon that will go for a pretty penny but then you'd expect to for quality.
  12. Work from the top down. Good advice, Matt.
  13. Aha, a weakness. Now we'll know when he's, er, pre-occupied and the trucks can be rescued...
  14. Love your work, AJ. The only prob I find with taking pics of things so I don't forget how they came apart is I sometimes forget to take pics in the first place!
  15. That's where I've seen it before. Have got a profile pic of it (somewhere in the depths of the computer) parked in a driveway ... probably the same driveway. I was more keen on the Es in The Back Lot. I see Packer's EG there but have always wanted to see more pics of the red one listed.
  16. Bastards. Did the tapes reveal anything, John?
  17. Wow, wow, wow. Jim, I've been going back reading your threads about the B but the engine pic takes the cake. Haven't seen a nicer job.
  18. Wow, great find there, Sam. Reckon the Mack Museum guys would get excited by that. Sounds like they just butted up another back end off something else and just welded it all together.
  19. Phenomenal work there, Jim. She looks awesome. Well done! Inspirational stuff.
  20. Looks like you're right into it, mate. Good luck. Seeing the condition of the ACs and the work you're doing on them gives me some inspiration for some E-models I'm trying not to get too excited about. Can do anything if you set your mind to it and keep your patience and an open mind!
  21. Great find, mate, but sad to know the trucks will probably rot where they sit. 'Collectors' like that seem to be all over the world. Plenty like that down here too. To some extent good on them for svaing what they do but ... no sense of fun. LOL.
  22. Hi guys Well, it's been more than a year since I was last here and things have been happening. After being out of work for just over a year, I started in a new job at the start of March and it has turned out to be the best job I've ever had. I've been slowly getting back into trucks and am currently on the trail of some Mack Es down here. They'll be a lot of work but ... have to get them first. Have yet to even see photos. Very early days and may amount to nothing so... Had a major disappointment with a very derelict one early this year when I found out, the day before heading into the bush to check it out, that it had gone. Therefore, trying not to get too excited but with E Models it's a bit hard! I also found a stunningly original EGR1D not far from here. A magic, magic machine. Have attached a pic below. I would like to thank you all for keeping the E Model registry thread going. There's some awesome trucks being recorded and I will get them onto the registry in the next couple of weeks (end of month and end of year coming up for work ... yikes!). To those of you who have posted details of your trucks, I will get in touch with you individually over the next month or so. Feel free to email me at aircrewbooksATiinet.net.au (replacing the AT with @ of course). Merry Christmas E model lovers and Mack fans in general! Cheers Andy
  23. Do you have any photos so we can see what you're looking at? Close to home is an advantage and perhaps it's a good thing the engine is stuck given what Rob says about spares availability.
  24. Congrats, Engine 2, she looks a beaut. I've added her to the E-model register per your post up there. All the best with the resto. Cheers Andy
  25. Well, as you can see from my signature, we're now on 55 Es for the registry. Thanks again to those who have contacted me with details and to see how the registry is going. I've just updated the listing from the latest posts above and we had some interesting new entries. The ED Tracy and Kevin posted above is the first ED on the registry and Engine 2's Type 45 is the youngest Type 45 on the register. The Tryon FB Type 50S supplied by Ray is also the first Type 50 on the register. How it differs from a 505S I have yet to work out. I am now working on a formal pdf document for the register which will be a similar format to the B-model register. This will be emailed to all owners on the register and made available here and elsewhere. If you know you're on the list but are not sure if you've supplied your email, please drop me a line at aircrewbooksATiinet.net.au (replacing the AT with @). I hope to add another E to the list personally on Monday. Fingers crossed. Andy
