  1. Also, if the truck is 1998 or newer and has ABS, after you reinstall the hub, use a .005 feeler gauge to set the clearance between the ABS sensor and the hub. Frequently these get pushed away from the hub when reassembling, resulting in too large of a gap, which causes the sensor to not provide a signal to the ABS, resulting in inoperative ABS, and the ABS warning light on the dash will be on if you do not re set the sensor clearance.. Thanks For that Info.
  2. Thanks for the replies. I bought a 4" axle socket then the air gun blew apart broke broke 2 rachets and breaker bar. Calling in the mobile friend with shop on wheels. Look pretty straight foward after poping axle out. Thanks agian men
  3. I have replaced my brakes but 1 axle has an inner seal leaking. I have never replaced one. The rear is a Meritor 40,000lb. I have not yet reinstalled the super single yet (not fun to take off and install twice). I'm hoping to get an answer tonight before going into this blind at daybreak. Thanks in advance, Doug
  4. Finally found it. Main compressor line. After installing new comp and line missed 1 tie down. Rubbed a hole in line going thru frame rail, making it sound like it's coming from left side. Oh well live and learn. Thanks for help, Doug
  5. The leak is NO WHERE BY THE GOV. OR DRYER, its on the other side. Driver side 2001 Maxi CH613. Meritor Trans, brakes and rears.
  6. This is my shop compressor. Would you just hook up quick conects with 3/8 air line or 1/2? I ask this because I believe it's a small line.?

  8. I have an air leak only when the ignition is on under my day cab. I have tried everything, to include soapy water in a spray bottle. I can not seem to figure this out. It only leaks with ignition on and will stop after I shut the truck down a minute and a half later with no substantial loss in pressure. I am looking for help as this air leak is getting louder but I can not locate. It's only ignition on, what should I look for? Shifter? PTO is not being used? But never leaked before? Thanks in advance, QC Driver P.S. It's been a very frustrating 3 week ordeal.
  9. Will an older late 90's CH bolt up to a 01 CH ??
  10. The new Forum looks GREAT :bmod2:
  11. I have an 01 CH613. The door panels are the same as a Vision. Both models when specd the same have 1 armrest with a Bostrom seat. The door panel had an armrest for left arm. I bought a Bostrom wide leather seat with 2 armrests.(It's tight, but works) Can I get an older CH model panel to fit an 01 door, it needs to be able to have power windows & locks but flat with no armrest. If I remember correct some were flat or had a removeable armrest on panel? But door handle different? Or am I screwed and have to deal with a tight seat? Will I have modify my panel and live with it? Thanks in advance for your help. Doug I love the new wide base seat, can't believe the difference in ride in the POS Fairfeild MD area.
  12. Reminds me of the days when we switched to unleaded gas..All the v-8's lost anywhere up to 100 HP. Now 30 years later the 4cyl. engines make more HP then the 70's V-8.. Let's hope the diesel makers are a little faster in improvements on performance.
  13. Thank God Baltimore Mack built a new dealership for volvo, BEHIND the Mack dealership.. They did such a good job I never saw it till I made a u turn in there back lot after service.. HAHAHAHA
  14. Lets see some pics to prove it...LOL I just want pics.
  15. I have 2 switches on dash, 1 has a pic of battery and the other a key..?? I have used some common sense to figure out but not sure. The one with the battery, is this to switch from 12 to 24 volts??? For starting??? The one with the key, is this for a shut down mode after trip??? Jump out and leave, for auto shut off??
  16. Thanks all, I knew where it was located, I'm running a different # bulb from stock so DRL's do not work now. I just wanted to make sure thats ALL i had to do, for disable. B4 I install HID's Thanks Mack3P for the info for disabling, I wanted to make sure was not in conjunction with anything else such as ECM. Thanks agian.
  17. The reason I asked is, DRL's use's the low beam at lower volts for DRL. The HID kit's say they need to be disabled. My panel has what looks like a large DRL relay or curcuit breaker (size of a flasher unit). Is this a ECM disable feature? I've been running Xenon bulbs and DRL does not work with these. They don't last long either.. What type of lights do you have?? Many HID conversions out there..
  18. My '01 CH has DRL. I'm going to install a HID conversion but need to shut off DRL's. My question is, can I remove the DRL relay in the dash, will this disable them??? Thanks, Doug

  23. Need some more help I have a Bendix 1400L (3K to replace) Tru Flow on truck for off loading liquid, but do not need anymore. I have a remaned 550 ($400)Tru Flow in hand now. My question is while the bigger unit has a oil drain on the rear of compressor, the smaller unit does not. Will the oil flow back in the flange unit? I assume the drain is only for the 4 cylinder? The Bendix site states so, in a flange unit. Mine on the truck is a 4cyl. the smaller 2 cyl. without a oil drian line. The last 6 VIN 139664 CH613. Thanks For you help in advance, Doug
