  1. I've been out of the loop long enough that I can't help much with parts units, "farmer52". Most of the MH trucks I knew of are either gone or only had one stack. If I come up with anything, I'll be sure to pass the information along to you.
  2. Are you talking LOAD rating - like how much can she carry on her back without going through the floor?
  3. Guess I did OK on the first one...... 17 out of 19 on the second one though.
  4. Here's HER sign:
  5. I think I know what you're saying now, and yes, your method is totally correct - you have to hook the battery charger leads directly to the terminals of the battery that needs charged. (12 volt between two posts of a single battery - regardless of how many other batteries are hooked in series or parallel with that battery) I wasn't sure if Mike might have accidentally hooked a 12 volt charger up across two terminals totaling more than 12 volts, which could have created an arc.
  6. Sorry, but that makes no sense to me. My rechargeable flashlight uses four 1.5 volt batteries and the charger is 6 volt. If what you're saying is correct, the charger should only be 1.5 volt and the electricity should automatically "know" which battery needs charged?
  7. If Doug Maney can remember them, a fellow in this area (Bill Rogers) had an entire fleet of Detroit-powered Macks - ranging from early R-700's with 318's (and a 361 Brockway) to a couple of newer R-700's, F-700's, and at least two early Superliners with 8V92's. (430hp, I believe) The last time I passed by his farm/shop, most of them were still there, but they have been off the road for a while now. He started running Volvos about 10 years ago, and sold a few of the Macks along the way.
  8. Are you using a 12 volt or 24 volt charger, Mike? I only have a 12 volt charger, so if I had to charge two 12 volt batteries hooked up in a series (24 volt) I would have to unhook the batteries and charge each one separately - otherwise 24 volts would backfeed into the charger and possibly burn it up. (?) The two 12 volt batteries in my Ford F-250 diesel were hooked up in parallel, and I could hook the charger up without disconnecting anything.
  9. Welcome, Jim! Y'all sure have a lot of trucks for sale on your site and it sure takes a lot of leg work out of looking around.
  10. OK, folks..... Time was apparently on my side, so I took the liberty of adding 25 images to my newly-created gallery. I hope there's something in there that you'll enjoy!
  11. I believe that's one of Kinard's old trucks from York, PA. (and you're right, Rob - that's a lot of $ for the condition of that truck) The one that's close to me (that I need to get some pictures of ) is dark purple with a decent sized bunk. I'm not positive on the year, but I think it's a 1981.
