No title hurts it some states you can get titles with old registration cards or death certificate it should have a vin on the frame and a tag on the right door if you could get a paper title you can find new door tags that are unstamped it’s a short nose truck and concave cab so not much room to drive or work on it it looks like the front fenders are welded to everything else it has split rims and tube type tires that’s a big expense in it self to get tubeless rims and tires does it run and drive? I guess it depends on how big your budget is how good you are at fabrication and how bad you want it I would look at Craig’s list and marketplace to see what else is out there in my opinion it seems steep for something with no title and think of how much to transport it home .. good luck I’m sure some other fellas can help you on here too .

People are crazy I drive a ram 5500 service truck for work I drive the speed limit 55 on the interstate people fly by me and then you get the People that when the do fly by you they swerve right in front of you and almost tear your bumper off

The hottest spot was at the gauge it burned the wires halfway to the alt and out to the block on the firewall but not to the breaker at the back of the headlight switch so I’m thinking faulty gauge . I cut all the harness apart and only the heavy wires burned I’m only running a volt gauge now so I don’t need to go the the gauge with heavy wire then back out again I’ll just go to the breaker on the head light switch

Went to Watts show this past weekend always a good time tons on trucks there a big thank you to everyone at Watts for putting on such a great show . Well on the way there I stared smelling something from the b model and I couldn’t tell exactly what it was but once the cab filled with smoke I figured I better pull over ended shutting off the batteries and ignition and got to a hardware store to get some tools pulled the dash out and found this amp gauge burned to a crisp I’m just glad it didn’t burn to the ground … think I’m just going to go with a volt gauge this time

Remove the hub cap remove the nut and outer bearing then Dayton wheel and drum will come off as one piece inner bearing and seal will be in the back side of the wheel assembly you removed . You don’t have to remove the spider that’s what holds the shoes to the spindle

In Pennsylvania I have JC Taylor they insure the truck for a set dollar amount it costs me 100 for 10000 in coverage I have it plated as and antique and have vintage plates on it but I don’t haul anything with it I just go to some shows and some driving around

I might need one the truck ran good I had washed the tank real good just must have been the loose stuff I couldn’t get it is thick and has all but one hole blocked off . The canister one looked good and clean could see clean to the bottom

Doing some repairs to the mack before Watts show and I decided to change the fuel filters put them on new in 16 when I was putting the truck together should have checked them earlier how the hell was this even running

I would say yes make sure breather is open if not it creates pressure

Square plate covers the door hinges on the inside of the door oval cover is on cab above the door third is wher bulldog stands on grille

Look for trailer tail light converter there are some good threads on here it’s what I did and it helped me get all the lights to function properly

Craig what kind of tail light are you using I installed led ones with back up light built in I had to install some kind of wiring isloater box made by hoppy for everything to work something with how the brake lights are one wire to both lights and turn were separated

Barry are you going to have some of the new abs emblems at the show tent this year ? Was hoping to check outs some of the b model stuff

DCW no I didnt I just have pump supply in and clean oil out my original by pass way the tiny line to dump back to pan this filter housing has a spring and plunger in it so if the filter plugs or oil is cold it will go around filter and still supply engine with oil I figure dirty oil is better than no oil

I know it’s not original but finding original parts is getting tough so I figure if I can put new parts that are available and they work I try it out my next project is trying to find a freight liner fld or super liner axle with budd or hub pilot wheels to put under the front but I haven had much luck and what I have found is a little out of my price range for something I take to car shows

Thanks mechohaulic I’m happy with it I’m just glad it has oil pressure when I start it . That hose is like that cause the pipe is round but the intake manifold port is some what oval so it distorts the rubber and it’s 2 different sizes so there is a step in the rubber there . It has the crimped together manifold not tahr cast one cause I added the turbo

Summit racing sells automotive paint I think mine was 100 for the a gallon of paint the reducer and activator it strayed nice and still looks good there epoxy primer and the fill and sand primer is reasonable too but there limited on colors if you mix like your saying only problem is if you run out and need more it’s tough to get that same mix but I guess if you exact measure how mutch black you add to a gallon of green I guess you could get close

Well it’s all finished just have to put some paint on it takes up less space lol

Your right Larry I was reading all your old posts about it and it’s so hard to find the older parts mine was just like yours a good 25 seconds to get oil pressure I didn’t like that I let it sit a day and had oil pressure in a few seconds the housing has I bypass built in so it will divert around the filter if it’s plugged or reall cold oil so I figured I’m safe with that . I’ll paint it all up to match the engine paint that yellow filter gray and it will be good as new

Ya I don’t know what they sold it for when I found out it was all ready sold didn’t see the asking price
