  1. Thanks Trent! I will look into it.
  2. I told my friend to get truck pictures and he did but he is slow on the delivery!
  3. Wow you barely see any of those oldies restored. I wonder why? I realize those are what, late 30's 40' models? Maybe I am not paying enough attention.
  4. Oh wow was that damn funny. IT laughed when twice the one guy pulled away confident he was indeed hitched to the trailer when in fact he wasn't. Haha he didn't even realize the car broke through the barn doors. I loved it when the one guy dragged the white car a bit when he turned and didn't even realize it. Great videos. Goes to show you that even some of the best car drivers are left befuddled when presented with a semi truck. I am surprised they didn't list the power of the engines. The ERF probably had a CAT or Cummins while the Renault most likely had a Mack E-Tech. The Scania had at most 230-250 HP.
  5. My friend just spent three weeks there back in November. Yes the girls are hot and have VERY healthy bodies but if you don't speak Portuguese(bad Spansih lol) then your out of luck . Not too many people speak English down there.
  6. This past Macungie someone had a 6v53 in a Ford. I have to find the picture as it fit perferctly in the engine bay. Not sure of the transmission though. As for a trans would a lighter 5 speed and two speed axle be lighter? I have a feeling the 10 speed would be a pain because you now have to deal with air plumbing for the range selector. But if your adding air ride then it might not be a big problem. You could also try using the axle from a 5500 GMC with hyd disc brakes, they have smaller eight bolt hubs but you can get aluminum 22.5 rims for them. Our GMC 6000 has a single speed dana axle with ten lugs but only 22.5x6.75 rims can be used because of the smaller GMC bolt pattern. 9R22.5 tires would be used today but we still use the original 8.25-20 bias ply tube tires on it. It has a 4 speed transmission (make un known to me maybe spicer/eaton) and a 350 Chevy V8 gasser. I have always wanted to drop a 6v53T and a 5 speed in it myself. Good luck
  7. Its a trick question. They deliberately tell you they paid nine dollars for the room when in fact they did not. They paid ten, refunded 5 but the clerk pocketed 2. Nine dollars is thrown in to fool you into using their bad math and confuse you. In reality each man paid 10, multiplied by three is 30. Take away two the clerk pocketed and you are left with 28. Now just divide the 28 by 3 and you get 9.333~. Or the simple formula of (30-2)/3 which is 9.333~ dollars. They leave out the .333~ to fool you.
  8. Your not. I seen a few episodes back when I would actually watch a bit of TV. Lame attempt at comedy with even more lame drama thrown in. Seinfeld was 100 times better and was funny with no drama. These days I just download shows I want to watch and use my TV as a monitor for watching said shows. That or PBS. And back to the topic at hand. Angelina is damn hot but her political BS along with the stupid child adoptions (it looks like a PR stunt to me) ruin it. And having a girl that hot is going to cause a lot of problems. I did just that (not super star but super hot) and it was a pain to go out in public, especially where plenty of guys would hang out. After all the cat calling, people getting in your face, trying to hit on her when your back is turned and fights it wasn't worth it.
  9. Well securing a loan at this point might be tough. But there are houses on the market for DIRT cheap, as low as a few thousand. Their occupants defaulted on the loan and banks sold them off for pennies on the dollar. Also property value in areas inflated by the bubble should be lower by now, some by as much as 50%. Good luck!
  10. Probably going to Quebec Canada. I was there this past summer and there were plenty of those twin steer dumps running around.
  11. Jennifer is my pick as Angelina is over hyped and almost artificial. But I could never stand that stupid show friends she was in.
  12. Human tastes like pork. I call dibs on the ribs!
  13. There was a big discussion about this on Hank's site and someone did say that Antique plated trucks are in the clear. Bottom line is to hell with their laws. The semi-dimwits here in NY will most likely follow their lead. After all our wonderful mayor used the bogus "think of the children" argument to try and charge exorbent fees for anyone traveling into Manhattan. They wanted 6-8 dollars for cars and upward of 26 dollars for trucks! The argument was trucks were clogging the streets and polluting along with cars causing asthma in kids. Even the MTA was against it as the subway and bus capacity is already overloaded. And the stupid f&%#@$g @#$ hole mayor thinks trucks need to be removed from the streets. Good thinking mr. retard mayor, maybe you can tell me how to get my equipment on the subway so I can get it into the city. Trucks are the backbone of this city. Moron. I hope they dont get all giddy and want to be "leaders" and bring this BS legislation to our state. We are already taxed to death here and our cities economy is in the toilet. Screw the polititions in this country already. They helped bury our economy and let the fat cats sell us out. While we pretend to be so god damn environmentally concious the rest of the devloping world is pumping out pollutants like its going out of style. They have our means of production now. Who is to say China wont one day take over all of our factories there and steal our technology? How could we stop them? We cant and we wouldent be able to. Worst part is the American dollar might eventually collapse. I have herd some serious apocalyptic predictions for the next year or two. I hope its nothing more then pure nonsence. Damn if what I hear is true then the weak economy is our least of concern. Arm yourselves and prepare for civil war (well maybe not that bad). RANT off.
  14. Monty that link does not work. When you get those pictures up be sure to let us know!
  15. Hey Monty, not to hijack this thread a bit but you should post pictures of those two trucks in your gallery!
  16. I found this posted on a truck blog. For those who don't know what a CL-350 is, think of a logging truck with 110K Mack Planidrive rears and an 8 spoke heavy front axle. Check out the suspension, that's what I call a trunnion! To bad very few of these beasts were made. These trucks are what really make me think "Built like a Mack truck"!
  17. Now thats what I call an RD! 110K rears 500HP E9 and an 18 speed. Would make a good heavy hauler. That or a nice off highway dump truck with a 30K pusher. WOAH! That CL has 80k Planetary rears with 24" spoke adapters. I wonder if those axles were factory and what make (SISU?).
  18. Awesome looking truck. She has a brownie box?
  19. They look like little automatics themselves so they aren't like a brownie. Cant shift below 18 mph? Maybe it needs a certain amount of rpm or something in order to shift.
  20. Yea but its a slide covered with sandpaper and a continuous stream of lemon juice to add to the burn.
  21. **Post Deleted** Wow I should have thought that one out. Sorry for the disparaging remarks. That day was a bad one. Fighting with tenants who don't want to pay rent, and one of our vans was badly vandalized by my house. Then I hear this and it just set me off. Again I apologize for the off color remarks.
  22. Did that truck happen to have the eight spoke 80K rears? Looks like it has 14.00R24 rubber. Trent, The RM was the all wheel drive set back axle R that was usually setup for snow plowing. The M supposedly stands for municipal. There a a bunch on truck paper including a 6x6 RM tractor. I also believe the steel hoods were standard.
  23. The new MP engines are 100% Volvo designed with some code changed in the engine computer, red paint and Mack written on the valve cover. They started out as the D12, D13 and the D16. Renault also has re badged Volvo engines called the DXi series. Mack like every other diesel engine maker shared their technology over time. No one diesel engine is 100% designed by any one maker. Mack used Scanias direct injection open combustion chamber design in the 673 then that carried over into the 237 Maxidyne then on to the E6. The E7 was made with the help of Renault who used the Mack engines in their trucks including the E9 in the Magnum AE. SISU trucks of Finland partnerd with Renault and used Mack engines until Volvo took over Renault/Mack. SISU stopped making their own cabs and used a Renault cab on a super heavy duty SISU chassis with SISU axles, Mack engine and Fuller or ZF gear boxes.
