    673 turbo,triplex,single axle tractor,Goodyear/Michelin tires,Dayton rims,decent red paint,red interior.Has a blockage between filter and oil cooler,either the hose is clogged or the filter outlet.Hoses are new,canister was cleaned,new elements installed.I`m done crawling underneath it in my back yard.Ran good,probably excessive blowby.Very minimal rust.I have $23k invested,will sell for $18k.Located in Washington,NJ,can`t post pics.908-619-1793

    I didn`t drain the crankcase,just removed the filters and replaced oil hoses.

    Can an oil line to the filter ever need to be primed? The filter is a Luberfiner 272-c.It has inlet and outlet check valves.I had the canister out,hoses disconnected for a couple of months,so when I installed it and filled it with oil,the check valves would have been closed,and any air in the hoses would be there when I started the engine.This is a second filter,it appears it`s job is to filter oil going to the turbo.

    Unfortunately,that can`t happen on my watch.I`m far from being a mechanic,and the code readers around me aren`t interested.Guys who know these trucks have passed or are too old to care.

    No pressure after a minute and 20 secs.So I`ve run the engine for a total of 2 1/2 minutes with no oil to the turbo.

    Oil spurted out of the big filter when I opened the vent and cranked the starter,but no oil going to the turbo feed line,and therefore none to the gauge.If anyone in northwest NJ is interested in a pretty nice single axle B61,I`m ready to move on.

    I changed filter cartridges and oil lines on the two canister filters on my ENDT 673 engine.I filled both filters with oil.That was six weeks ago.Finally started it,and after 30 seconds of idling,zero oil pressure,according to the gauge.I would always get 60 psi showing within 5 sec.The dash gauge appears to be fed from a line going to the turbo.Is there a way to positively check that I have or don`t have pressure in the engine? Thanks.

    I`d put a test light between a battery post and cable to see if there`s a current draw when parked.

    No spin-on filters,one scraper and one cartridge(NAPA3390).Two tanks,I shut off the crossover and capped the vent on the feed tank.A local guy didn`t like the tank pressurizing,told me to loosen the injector inlet lines at the pump to bleed air while cranking the engine,and tighten them when fuel starts leaking past the fittings.Will try that tomorrow.

    Is that a swollen river or flood water where it`s normally dry?Unbelievable pictures coming out of Asheville.Violent weather,floods,wildfires...seems to be a steady increase.I hope you get help from the government... they have no problem giving away money to groups who never paid a dime in taxes.

    Has anyone ever tried to prime the fuel system by somehow creating a vacuum at the injection pump inlet hose? I`m not having any luck pressurizing the fuel tank.I`ve gone from 10 to 45 psi,after filling both filters.I don`t think there is any blockage in the tank..I can get fuel to the first filter inlet,but never any from the 2`nd filter outlet to the IP.At some point in it`s working cycle,is the lift pump "closed" to the fuel line from the tank? Could it be in the closed position from the last time I shut the engine off?

    Can the lift pump in an ENDT 673 ever be in a "closed" position? I`m trying to prime the system w/ 10 lb of air into the fuel tank,vent blocked.I have the inlet fitting at the injection pump open,but after 10 min of compressed air,still no fuel at the IP.I filled both fuel filters when installing,but that was 2 wks ago.Maybe the scraper filter before the lift pump drained back into the tank.Is it safe to use more than 10 lb of air.I can`t see that it would matter,if I leave that inlet open at the IP.Thanks.

    The S/P switch is eliminated,everything sees 12V,the parallel output of 2 pairs of 6V batteries.Starter and generator are 12V.

    I`m low tech...an old piece of tube w/ the valve and a hose clamp to seal it to the tank.
