  1. JoJo I guess I never saw this reply from you. Well the truck should be getting out of the shop from the inframe next week. Anything trucks sells a kit for around 500.00 that has everything in it to hook it up. I have the PP-1 dash valve
  2. Thanks guys, they are holding air I was just curious.
  3. Ok let’s go back and revisit the leveling valve and arm. I manually turned my valve to add air to my bags. I’m waiting on the lever to come in the mail. My bags are not leaking down. So my question?? Is the leveler valve only to add air? Does it supposed to let air out of bags when truck isn’t running?
  4. Thanks JoJo, I replaced the spinner earlier this year. Didn’t get to drive much with replacing the camelback suspension and clutch. This just started happening about a week ago. So replacing all those parts should fix the problem JoJo. I will do it.
  5. Ok guys got the valve and shocks changed. The airbags are holding air so don’t see a reason to change them out. So while I was under there working I noticed oil on drivers side front springs. After looking I felt like the oil was coming from the centrifugal filter housing. After cleaning it up and making sure hose’s were tight. I hauled a few loads of gravel and checked the area. It looks like oil is coming from this? Have no ideal what it is, maybe a vent for centrifugal filter housing. Here it is and maybe explain what’s going on here. As always thanks for the replies.
  6. So should the arm have come with the lever valve or is it sold separate. I’m thinking I take the nut off white piece and arm goes there. Then put the stud without a nut (missing) on the other end of arm. That sound right guys? Onyx610 thanks for the help. JoJo has been helping me.
  7. Ok guys it has taken my Mack dealer a while to get my parts. Here is what I have with my leveling valve and control rod on my truck. as you can see the bottom stud was broke off my control rod and the white plastic is broke off my leveling valve. The bottom photo shows my new leveling valve and control rod. How does the control rod attach to the leveling valve. I have to be missing a piece.
  8. Ok I will check that. I can tell you my cab sits low in the rear. I can feel it move up around 100psi. That’s what prompted the guy to say something to me. My cab sits low in the rear with full air.
  9. Let’s dummy this down please. Joey is saying shocks. If I’m understanding you guys I already have shocks under cab which are probably wore out. Are those air shocks? How can I check them? Mechohaulic is talking airbags and this would be totally different than what I have correct?
  10. I have a 2000 rd688 that is a dump truck. When the air pressure gets to about 100 the cab raises up a little in the rear. I’m thinking this is to only level the cab. Can airbags bring added to this truck for ride comfort? Had an old trucker to tell me I should add airbags to cab and it would ride a lot better and help my front suspension.
  11. Hey Onyx610 you going have to break it down a little more than that. I’m almost positive I have two oil filters plus one that has a centrifugal cartridge. What kind of gauge and where exactly do I hook it up?
  12. I will do this, thanks for the replies
  13. How would I go about figuring out which one?
  14. I noticed today that my oil pressure in mack rd688 never gets over 30 psi. It usually runs around 20 psi and I’m thinking that’s awful low. It is full of oil, runs fine so maybe my gauge is faulty. What do you guys think?
  15. I have a 2000 RD688 and the air gauge in the truck has two needle, green and orange. When I really trying to stop my truck the green needle drops pretty quick. I have to watch or the parking brake light comes on. I can hear any air leaks but I’m thinking I have one. Can someone with a little more experience explain what’s going on and how to fix it. Thanks in advance.
  16. Can anyone tell me the correct bug screen to get that will fit my 2000 mack RD688. When I purchased truck it didn’t have one. It fits in front of radiator and I think uses screws to attach it. A mack part number or a aftermarket part number would be fine. also if an add says it fits R600 does that mean it will fit my RD688?
  17. Sorry guys I have been busy with a dozer that I had to have and believe me I wish I had never bought the damn thing. I got a lot of irons in the fire. Transmission is a Eaton fuller 8ll. The shop called me yesterday to tell me truck is ready. I never have gotten the truck since I dropped it off 1.5 months ago. I would stop in and one of the mechanics left in the shop late in the day would tell me what He had heard was wrong. My invoice said the slave cylinder was rebuilt. Nothing was wrong with truck except the clutch was going out. I took the truck in and clutch was replaced but when they test drove it the hi-low switch wouldn’t work. So they went to replacing parts but the first two parts didn’t fix the problem so they put my old parts back on. Today I went by to pay my bill which was 3300.00 and again owner wasn’t there but young mechanic said the slave cylinder was rebuilt. Which fixed my problem. Sorry that’s all I know and will have someone take me up after work tomorrow to get the truck and drive it back home. Thanks for all the advice and I may be asking for more but hopefully this truck is ready to work.
  18. I’m guessing I need to make a decision on this whole mess. Go get my truck and take it to the mack dealership. Surely to the heavens they have tripled checked those air lines.
  19. Macks it turned out good. We ended up having to the trunion bar due to a loose nut wearing away all the threads. my biggest concern on this whole hi/lo switch not working. I was told the valve on the transmission was worn out they replaced it and problem still there. They have replaced two parts and not fixed the problem. Yes they put my old parts back on but the trust isn’t there. I mean if the first valve they changed out was worn out how is it working now. im no mechanic but my gut tells me they have screwed something up and they don’t even know what it is they have screwed up.
  20. Still don’t have my truck back. The shop has replaced two parts but not finding the problem. They have put my old parts back on. They are now saying they have to rebuild a valve located near the rear of transmission. My question is this a coincidence or did someone mess something up replacing my clutch? Again my high/low switch was not working. Before clutch replaced never had any issues with it.
  21. They were saying at the shifter but last I talked to them they said it was a valve on transmission that operates hi/lo
  22. I had a local shop to replace my Eaton fuller clutch. Never had a problem with hi/lo switch leaking air or not working. Well after several weeks I went in to check on truck and was told The hi/lo switch was leaking air. Nobody really could tell me what exactly was wrong seems they were wanting me to talk with main mechanic. Next day I talked to main mechanic and said the lines were correct( thought they were switched) and he would have to trouble shoot. Week later he is saying a valve on top or side of transmission is bad. Does this make any sense to you guys. I’m at the mercy of having to listen. Is this a coincidence that the valve went out. Never had a problem out of hi/lo switch before?
  23. I have a Kolbelco 135 what is yours. How long is your trailer on the flat part?
