Mack dealer said the ecm and cluster where bad .but wouldn't work on it cause deleted I put new ecm ,cluster ,starter worked fine for 2 days ,no codes is what mechanic said ,but he said the ecm is fried too didn't even drive it a mile with the ecm, I'm picking it up Tuesday and just going to park it .

I want to put one but they tell me I can't by pass the ecm

It has a 10 speed My last resort is going to be putting all new sensor and wire harness .if it still don't work I'm going to just keep it for parts .I had the engine rebuilt last year .wire harness is 1600 at the Mack

The ECM is the one that sends the ground?

The starter has the two selonoid the big one on starter and smaller one on top.the two wires on smaller selonoid are hot,if you jump it with a ground the engine turns over but won't start. You think it might be a safety issue or sensor?

Every once in awhile it would start but I hadn't had luck lately.i was able to go the next day it would start I shut it off tried it again and nothing .

Yes I put brand new starter from Mack and 2000.00 dollar cluster and put a new ECM.it started fine when installed but after a few days same crap it had before..

Yes I do but I hadn't tried it ,I took it to the mechanic but I'm going to pick it up tomm.could I by bypass the switch and just put a push button ? Or will the ECM not let it?

Yes it's wired correct,my understanding is that there is 2 hot wires on smaller solenoid then you turn key switch forward it sends ground ,but it's not sending ground.and I really hadn't tried starting it from the starter with the switch on.mechanic told me today computer is bad ,I just put it a month ago

Doesn't turn over ,if I put ground to the little solenoid it turns over

Hello...I was wondering if anyone can help me with my issue..I got a 2013 Mack with a Mp8, The truck wouldn't start so I took it to the dealer they told me the computer and cluster where bad,I replaced them both because they said they couldn't cause it's deleted,when I replaced them it started perfect ,but after a couple of days it won't start through the key...it has a solenoid on starter and a smaller one.both wires on smaller solenoid are hot and doesn't make any difference if key switch is on or off,truck been sitting up for a couple of months can't find anyone who can figure it out.Has a brand new starter too.

No the starter hasn't been replaced at all ..my driver just called and said he got no dash lights ,still no turn signal or radio no cruise control...but if he turns head lights off the rpm and speedo gauge lights up...the only thing done to that truck in the last 2 weeks is it wouldn't go over 55 and mechanic eliminated the protection mode on it couldn't find what was wrong or just being lazy...

Hey ,I'm having trouble with my 2011 mack ,the turn signals won't work,radio,cb,and the dash lights don't turn on.but if I turn my headlights off the center of my dash lights light up..the control center with the amps,miles etc come on and off..the other day my batteries went dead I replaced them and put new alternator and everything worked fine ,but I'm having this problem...anyone know what can it be...my driver says all fuses are good.thanks

No ,he hardly ever test drives just the computer.....i priced that tube at mack it was 1900.00..i have no issues getting it but i wanted to double check first...thanks for the info..i just got the truck a few weeks ago for my lowboy..the gauges will work the quit it cuts on and off...does that have anything to do with it u think? Wiring or so

Ok im going to try that first...the mechanic wants me to replace the tube with the EGR control .but i wanted to see if it could be something else...thank you

I have a 2006 CHN 613 it won't go over 63 mph at 1600 rpm that's all it will do it has a 18 spped.... I took it to a mechanic he said it's reading Egr- mass flow-open ( flash code 5-9). Before he goes guessing and replacing parts ..i was wondering is anyone has had this code or knows anything about it...

Have a 2011 mack with a MP8. The ac was cooling while u was moving on the highway.but idling it won't cool blows hot..it just went out today doesn't cool at all..the engine fan comes on at 205 degrees but i don't hear it coming on while idle..i wired the high pressure switch straight but u hear it click at the fan but it won't engage .it's a cool logic cooling fan ..wondering if it's the ac or the cooling fan or both..thanks

They wanted 10,700 for a reman transmission and 2,200 for the labor..plus at the other extra...at the dealer..I'm in Florida a place in Georgia that works on transmission only quoted me 15,000 and they would come and get the truck I had to pay for fuel only

I took the truck to the Mack dealer ship..they put a new clutch,flywheel,clutch actuator ,clutch valves,clutch cylinder,solenoid valve,brake switch with wire harness. 7,400.00 dollars .it now runs perfect,it will get up and go no problems at all..
