came out in 1974 and I omitted the word "after"1973 War in the caption. The side away from the drop was actually widened from where the shadow is to get the recovery unit in for the pull. But quite a few of the power units were civilian owned and the drivers and units "volunteered" to move the equipment. Most were not adept at narrow mountain roads. Probably 1 out of 10 wrecked. -
Probably from Mexico, allowed under NAFTA

Reason I asked is the Down East one shows a body seam over the door where the REO /MACK cab was attached. I would think they were Pick up cab and chassis converted to a panel truck body for the cowls, windshields and dash boards. I do see that the doors are the same on all. That was a time when manufacturers has little cash for the tooling and equipment for making their own low sales volume units. Paul

Historian Richard E. Neustadt, in "Presidential Power: the Politics of Leadership" writes: "When contemplating General Eisenhower winning the Presidential election, Truman said, 'He'll sit here, and he'll say, 'Do this! Do that!' And nothing will happen. Poor Ike -- it won't be a bit like the Army. He'll find it very frustrating.'" No doubt, Trump is experiencing this frustration. Reportedly, Trump recently lamented that real estate is easier than politics. As for Obamacare, Trump is right to point out that Obamacare is on life support right now, and rising premiums, copays and deductibles were forecast even if Hillary Clinton had won the presidency. Remember, too, that Obamacare was intended to "fail," given the Democrats' real goal of a Canadian-style taxpayer-paid health care. Harry Reid openly said so. The Las Vegas Sun reported in 2013: "In just about seven weeks, people will be able to start buying Obamacare-approved insurance plans through the new health care exchanges. "But already, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is predicting those plans, and the whole system of distributing them, will eventually be moot. "Reid said he thinks the country has to 'work our way past' insurance-based health care during a Friday night appearance on Vegas PBS' program 'Nevada Week in Review.' "'What we've done with the ACA is have a step in the right direction, but we're far from having something that's going to work forever,' Reid said. "When then asked by panelist Steve Sebelius whether he meant ultimately the country would have to have a health care system that abandoned insurance as the means of accessing it, Reid said: 'Yes, yes. Absolutely, yes.'" Former Democratic National Committee Chair Howard Dean also said the end game is the so-called "public option" . During the 2008 presidential campaign, Dean talked about the health care proposals of Democratic candidates Barack Obama and Sen. Hillary Clinton: "I think while someday we may end up with a single-payer system, it's clear that we're not going to do it all at once, so I think both candidates' health care plans are a big step forward." Obama, then a state senator from Illinois, said: "I happen to be a proponent of a single-payer, universal health care program. I see no reason why the United States of America, the wealthiest country in the history of the world, spending 14 percent of its gross national product on health care, cannot provide health insurance to everybody. ... A single-payer health care plan, a universal health care plan. That's what I'd like to see. But as all of you know, we may not get there immediately. Because first we've got to take back the White House, we've got to take back the Senate, and we've got to take back the House." Later presidential candidate Obama reiterated his stance, that "starting from scratch" he'd have a single-payer system.

A 50 state law with proof of citizenship for a photo I.D would be great!. Add a finger print or retinal scan for positive I.D. would be ideal, but the liberals in both parties, the ACLU, LaRaza and NAACP would scream bloody hell. Paul

Florida defines eligibility to vote as being a US citizen who intends to make the state their permanent home, NY defines eligibility to vote as being a US citizen who physically slept in the state at least 200 days out of the year. Legally under state laws you qualify to vote in both states. Also you are not required to proactively cancel your old registration when you move to a new state. It is not illegal under Federal laws to be registered in two states at once. It is illegal, however, to vote in more than one state in a national election.

My wife and I live as we were raised to have a traditional work ethic, believe in God, be Patriotic and be respectful of others. Our boys were raised the same way, One did well, one married a liberal and went to hell. I was raised to be able to look yourself in the mirror and not feel ashamed or guilty about anything you've done. We really could care less what the "beautiful people's " opinion of us is, we own all we have, no loans, no credit cards. we practice help thy neighbor, we take care of my fellow Vets both Vietnam and I.D.F . I was once told by a particular member here I was a "scared old white guy clinging to my Bible, guns and Flag" well I'm damn proud to be that. We go to bed at night knowing we did the best we could and left it a bit better than before. Best advice I can give is live your life as you were raised and be proud of your choice. Never feel embarrassed by your values, morals, beliefs, patriotism or work ethic. Same token don't take any crap for your choices.

Seems to be a similar cargo body as the REO and the MACK Jr. Wonder if one of the body builders made them like BUDD did with the N cabs. 1937 REO at the Down East Museum of Stuff in Northern Maine MACK JR from I forget

"The components that we import for night vision goggles, communications equipment, missile guidance systems and other mission critical assets. China who we rely upon heavily for defense components decides to cut shipments, then America’s military will be left non-mission capable." Brigadier General John Adams 2016 DOD speech. A few examples are: The Hellfire missile -- launched from helicopters, jets and predator drones -- is a critical weapon in the war on terror. But the propellant that fires the missile must be imported from China. The glass in U.S.-made night vision goggles requires a soft white-colored metal called lanthanum, 90 percent of which comes from China. Ballistic armor plates, lithium-ion batteries and, commercial, off-the-shelf (COTS) semiconductors and military grade telecom equipment used in our field radios, missile defense systems and unmanned vehicles made outside the U.S in China. We use the M-93 Fox built in Germany as the Fuchs NBC Recon vehicle. Before Trump was elected the DOD was looking at Russian rocket, missile, and cannon artillery systems, which have greater range and are more lethal than US Army artillery and munitions at 2/3 the cost of U.S. systems.. In 2013 when the DOD was questioned about foreign suppliers to our military Aston Carter stated " that the purchases reflect on the realities of the global economy we live in," . "There are simply products that we use in the United States on a daily basis that you can't get in the United States." In addition, efforts to significantly cut foreign procurement's could lead to a trade war that hurts U.S. companies, he said. The Berry Amendment is obviously being ignored.

Virginia trucking company faces $40 million FMCSA indictment
41chevy replied to kscarbel2's topic in Trucking News
Nah, they still has 5 more eastern terminals to operate from. The sheer amount of Federal "issues" they have beaten over the past 15 years would make the Teflon Don or Hillary jealous.. -
Yes 10 states out of 50 do that, Most pay $100 to $200 surcharges on initial registration and a small fee per renewal. But the public EV charging stations are still funded by the states gas taxes. Add that to those 10 states and federal tax incentives, highly discounted electric vehicle (EV) charging rates for home based charging stations paid out of the fuel taxes, HUT and IFTA add to the give back monies for EV / Alternate fuel vehicle ownership.T he surcharges general are voided by incentives, discounts, tax deductions and freebee's.

Virginia trucking company faces $40 million FMCSA indictment
41chevy replied to kscarbel2's topic in Trucking News
There was a Federal indictment against them in 2013 at their Crawford Pa Facility for the same thing and the Feds shut them down. Yet they still get the same Fed contracts in a different state. . https://www.gobytrucknews.com/federal-raid-on-mount-crawford-trucking-company-for-too-long-hours -
Who does this?

patina belongs in the junk yard. Another over used term like Barn Find, Rat Rod and Barn Fresh. My 55 has been in one or another color of primer since 1967 but it's not a rat rod, it's a gasser/street racer since 1962 but A holes see the primer and call it a rat rod. -
As long as there is a included charge or road tax for Electric and other alternate fuel vehicles. Our gas taxes in Virginia, New York and 15 other state also pay for the public EV charging stations. Lets be fair about the tax.
