The common historical view is that the United States “conquered” California along with Texas and the rest of the Southwest in the Mexican “war of aggression” of 1846-48. We acquired California as part of the Mexican “cession” in the 1848 Treaty of Guadelupe-Hidalgo. The U.S. paid Mexico $15 million for this territory. So, we cede California back for, say, $4.15 Billion (what $15 million in 1848 dollars is worth today)? The proceeds would pay for the border wall after all. California wouldn’t need to be a “sanctuary state” for Mexican illegals, it would be part of Mexico again.
  2. One of One. Year of manufacture was 1973, sold and titled in 1981. Last production of F models shows as 1981

There is a much better way to do it. AND Cali gets their wish to leave the Deplorable U.S.A., the sanctuary state problem is taken care of, Mexico gets one of their wishes granted, the wall gets paid for, most of the illegals are gone and the Dems lose a ton of Electoral College votes and even some spending money for the Fed. . . .
  4. Condolences to his family. We went to see him in the 1990's and again about 5 years ago to talk about the I.H. COE based on the 5000 series cab. .One of the most interesting people we ever met and a wealth of history. He will be missed. Paul
  5. God knows! Seen things like that happen way too often . Sometimes I think it's just an owner who just wants it to earn money and screw what it doesn't need to "run"

It started life as a Fiberfab Valkyrie VW based kit car from about 1970 72. It is now on a 2x4 tube chassis I made with a 1967 Corvair front suspension unit, 1960 I.H. Brake / clutch master cylinder, a 6 speed double over drive ZF transaxle with 2:90 gears and an 450 h.p. GM crate engine. 1967 Camaro windshield, 1966 Mustang 2+2 rear glass and 1966 Corvair Corsa interior and Gauge pad. I widened and bulged the rear quarters, added the rear spoiler and made the open air extractors on the nose. All dialed in at a tad over 1750 pounds. Fuel cel heat shield is the final redesign part needed. Paul http:// http:// http:// http:// http://

  13. Northern Pacific Railway Historical Association has info on this bus and original photos before it was re bodied by Air Stream immediately after WWII. It was according to them used for on site maintenance work, light freight and limited passenger transport. They wanted it for their museum but seller would not agree on money. This is the photo send of bus 9 in 1935, From the windshield back was re bodied.

Funny how things changed! When Texas talked of leaving the Union, the Obama drones said it was against Federal law to secede, now not so much? As for them leaving, California has "prospered" under the rules and views of environmentalists, Hollywood's "Model Americans", Timothy O Leary followers and mob rule. I feel they should be allowed to continue that as an independent country.

This is my on going 10 year project. Most of the Gel Coat has been removed to do modifications so about 70% is fiberglass resin, cloth and matt. Block sanding, re gel coating and wrap curing will unite all the new, modified and original body parts together. Paul http:// http://
  18. When we plowed at JFK Airport in the 90's, they used a similar set up to knock the snow banks along the taxi ways down to clear the airliner wings. Definitely looks like NYS rig.

  23. Reuters Feb 10, 2017 Woman Ends 22-Year Marriage Because Her Husband Voted For Trump The 2016 election saw the ending of some friendships, family gatherings growing tenser, and now marriages are on the chopping block. No, seriously—some people are calling it quits because their spouse voted for President Donald Trump, like this retired California prison guard who decided to end her 22-year marriage because her husband, a conservative Republican, voted for Trump. For Gayle McCormick, it is particularly wrenching: she has separated from her husband of 22 years. The retired California prison guard, a self-described "Democrat leaning toward socialist," was stunned when her husband casually mentioned during a lunch with friends last year that he planned to vote for Trump – a revelation she described as a "deal breaker." "It totally undid me that he could vote for Trump," said McCormick, 73, who had not thought of leaving the conservative Republican before but felt "betrayed" by his support for Trump."I felt like I had been fooling myself," she said. "It opened up areas between us I had not faced before. I realized how far I had gone in my life to accept things I would have never accepted when I was younger." The Reuters/Ipsos poll of 6,426 people, taken from Dec. 27 to Jan. 18, shows the number of respondents who argued with family and friends over politics jumped 6 percentage points from a pre-election poll at the height of the campaign in October, up to 39 percent from 33 percent. Get a grip. My parents voted differently for decades and they never went to the lawyers. It’s not like he was caught with cocaine, hookers and was wearing a buttless clown suit. Then, I could see you facing those uncharted areas mentioned before. Last Thanksgiving, The New York Times reported how families cancelling dinner plans over the election, with some planning special events, like weddings, in ways where their Trump-supporting relatives wouldn’t be able to attend. Stupid!! Now Democrats are exhibiting this tantrum as well, delaying cabinet nominees votes over Trumps election. They think Conservatives and Republicans are the spawns of Satan. Yippeeeee!
  24. Mine only the plow raises. It pivots on the two front angle brackets. The plow assembly is standard Jeep Style. The main frame under the tracker is solidly attached.
