With 21 days before the Republic dies as we know it, we are worrying about what the Roosevelts did, when we should be worrying about the excellent chance of losing 90% of our freedoms. Paul
  2. I generally send $75 to $100, which is cheap for generally the sheer amount of info you get from them. All searched by hand by volunteers. Paul

I saw on BBC (radio freed England) the Hillary would like if/ when she is elected to have Al Gore to head the EPA and Michael Bloomberg to be Secretary of State and actually hint of creating a cabinet post for Global Warming Treaty Compliance with John Kerry / Leonardo DiCaprio co-heading the show. Best invest in lead
  6. Forgot you had the cut off. Good choice it looks solid. Paul
  7. V8?
  8. Dang! My truck load of junk Chairs is done gone too.
  9. Welcome. Very nice truck. With just under 14,000 made from 1940 to 1956 you should have a somewhat trouble free parts search.
  10. Ding Weeds ?
  11. I would also take a long look at the ignition switch, could be some gunk that causes an occasional high draw when it goes from start to run.
  12. What he said!. 3 prong low-high beam outside, 2 prong high beam inside.
  13. I'm very sorry! It seems people just don't see anything when hey drive, from lights to other cars. Paul
  14. I agree, but they've had it listed on Ebay, Bring a Trailer and a site called KiiJii (?) and the price is what some expert on antiques told them. I'd give them up to 25K for it for what it is. Paul
  15. Since we'er here for a few weeks to a month figured I go meet the neighbors and look at the local 4 sale items. AC has a firm price of 40K. Needs alot to preserve it, wheel repair, body panels fixed from old repaint mainly. 1972 R model was bought by Shaws Construction, (one of their 8 or 9 quarries abuts my sisters property) in the late 70's early 80's I was told. It was their first. They still have most of the remains. 2 Aluminum fuel tanks per side. The second I drove the 275 miles to Northeastern Maine to look at. Bought new as a ladder truck in Minneapolis in early 1919 as a ladder unit, converted by the same fire department into a wrecker in the 1930's. Documented original 1600 something odd miles.
  16. Great progress and good way to get the truck you wanted. Paul
  17. Sadly the elections will not be delayed, Hillary will be the next president. Why? Because she fits into the continuing agenda to change the country into a European style Socialist Democracy Movement started during WWI and accelerated in the 1960's. Social democracy is a political, social and economic ideology that supports economic and social interventions to promote social justice within the framework of a capitalist economy, and a policy regime involving collective bargaining arrangements, a commitment to representative democracy, measures for income redistribution, regulation of the economy in the general interest and welfare state provisions. Social democracy thus aims to create the conditions for capitalism to lead to greater democratic, egalitarian and solidaristic outcomes; and is often associated with the set of socioeconomic policies that became prominent in Northern and Western Europe—particularly the Nordic model in the Nordic countries—during the latter half of the 20th century. Social democracy originated as a political ideology that advocated an evolutionary and peaceful transition from capitalism to socialism using established political processes in contrast to the revolutionary approach to transition associated with orthodox Marxism. In the early post-war era in Western Europe, social democratic parties rejected the Stalinist political and economic model then current in the Soviet Union, committing themselves either to an alternate path to socialism or to a compromise between capitalism and socialism. In this period, social democrats embraced a mixed economy based on the predominance of private property, with only a minority of essential utilities and public services under public ownership. As a result, social democracy became associated with state interventionism, and the welfare state, while abandoning the prior goal of replacing the capitalist system. Modern social democracy is characterized by a commitment to policies aimed at curbing inequality, oppression of underprivileged groups, and poverty;including support for universally accessible public services like care for the elderly, child care, education, health care, and workers' compensation. The social democratic movement also has strong connections with the labor movement and trade unions, and is supportive of collective bargaining rights for workers as well as measures to extend democratic decision-making beyond politics into the economic sphere in the form of co-determination for employees and other economic stakeholders. The Third Way, which ostensibly aims to fuse right-wing economics with social democratic welfare policies, is a major ideology that developed in the 1990s and is associated with social democratic parties, but some analysts have characterized the Third Way as the most effective movement. Does this list seem familiar??
  18. And I apologize for slandering Hillary.
  19. If I was running against her I blanket the TV with this.
  20. Because of my wounds I have a priority card. Apparently that means I get screwed by them faster. But in reality since my generation got abandoned by the feds before we got home, it was / is never a surprise. My problem is the Dems got us into that war, called us up, send us in country, spit on us when we came home and now screw us on benefits.
  21. Wells Fargo CEO John Stumpf is retiring with a nest egg that would make any retiree envious. At $134 million, the 63-year-old's retirement fund will pull in $3.6 million a year. Good reward for his indiscretions.
  22. Went through it with me father and myself. A member of my V.V.A. post went to the V.A. Hospital at Northport ,he was collecting full benefits for PTSD and asked for help because he felt suicidal. They refused immediate help. He went to his car in the VA. parking lot and shot himself in the head. V.A.'s response? "they did not realize he needed immediate help"...I'll vote for Hillary before I ever go back to any V.A. Hospital.

When I was young and joined them, I was proud to be one, that lasted about a year or so. Needed to stay in for job site access and bidding on contracts for NYS and Nassau and Suffolk Counties. All I ever saw was the NY thugs, bullies and wanna be gangsters running the show.
  24. Yup! and Jane Fonda heading up the V.A.
  25. And easier, power, ground and the neg side of the coil. Clip it on, test it and sell it at a garage sale and get your money back.
