  1. He still has a few that were run in his cars and his son Gregg does quite a few of the Ford Motor-sport SOHC and Shot Gun Engines. Been open as a shop for 67 years and in my opinion is the father of Turbo builds. Even does a 437 h.p. Buick Grand National V-6 engine that is 89 octane street friendly. Could have had Jack Merlel or Bill Thomas World Power built it up but Ohio George is the bench mark. Paul
  2. Mr Montgomery built the first twin turbo AA/ Gas Mustang and ran an 8.22 and 175+ mph. and a half dozen turbo cars after that. In 1976, George built his last drag car, a 1974 Ford Pinto and ran 10.10 and 135+ mph. It was powered by a turbo-charged 2000 cc 4 cylinder engine which produced approximately 500 HP. George ended his long, illustrious on-track career with his last run in this car at Indy in September 1985. My engine is a modern build of it. The Montgomery built 2.7 put 423 h.p. at the rear wheels and touches 662 at the flywheel on Alcohol for X/SSA. It is a rolling advertisement for ARP hardware, Scat Crank shaft and Aires pistons and rods and Ford LaCarrera Block.

  4. That is some of the best glass repair item about. Excellent for panel bonding. Used that and chopped glass on my Valkyre body mods.

All ready some proof it works, but there is still the infrastructure problems on a majority of our roads, the lack of the powers that be, figuring on how to make money on allowing the increase and every municipality and local DOT wanting to be heard on the subject even if it has no impact on them. Curtain side trailers are a great thing for ease of loading and off loading but, I feel they are a target left unattended. Go to Alphabet City, Hunts Market, Wyandanch and many other urban areas and come back in an hour, it will be slashed open and empty. Just my opinion. Paul

  9. Looks like it would be workable. All my 30's AC and AC Six have MACK factory Vacuum Boosted assist (basically early power brakes) on the four wheel brakes. The brake on the back of the transaxle that is lever actuated is a factory mechanical Disk brake unit. With modern composite linings , ALL the linkages rebushed and with the close side of the factory adjustments it will stop fine. I don't plan on 50 mph but 35 or 40 with a reserve.

  13. My 33 and 34 and my AC Six with their pneumatic tires and the later style AC Brakes would do it no problem. Would I do it? Nope. 35 or 40 would be no sweat on the roads in Va. where we are. The large sprocket just make it less stressful on the drive train on modern roads.

As long as the phone works, computer works, lights go on, water comes out of the tap, the train is on time and they get on the highway with minimal delays, John Q Public could care less. Like Terrorists, gun control, election reform and rebuilding the infrastructure. They are only mentioned when there is a failure, big to do about fixing it, a show and than all is forgotten. Same a bigger trailers, the general public wouldn't even notice them if they didn't have it pointed out.
  15. Getting a price to have 3 sets of these made for my 1930's AC's. They are 30 tooth sprockets. Cut, centerless ground and heat treated. Give the AC a potential 50 m.p.h. top speed, but mainly will make local running easier on the unit. Would any body have any interest? Higher quantity make the costs lower. Paul http://
  16. Two weeks ago on Bloomberg news they were wondering when the oil futures was going to increase it's profits, seems a gift from heaven that the pipeline "failed" and profits. prices went up.
  17. Seems all lumped together from little cars to motor sports, and motorcycles, education, government, unions, general intelligence and health care in Europe seems to give them a better insight in to the global needs and choices than our .
  18. I uesd a 200 in on of my hot rods behind a Good Wrench 383 with a B&M kit it was bullet proof. Ran a Power Glide with a trans brake behind my 55 in one of it's big block phases, it's all how you set them up. (the '55 now has a Vitar Clutch Flite in it) 200 Metric and the700R4 were both to meet CAFE requirements. The 200 was a lighter weight version of the 350 with a lot of stampings and diecast to lower the weight. The 700R was a decent trans if you dumped the computer activated lock up converter. The computer controls either locked up when ever it felt in the mood, semi released or semi locked up with slipping or chatter. We did conversions to by pass the computer with a rocker switch to get a positive lock up when you wanted it to lock up. Same period that Ford came out with the AOD and AODE versions of the C-4 and Mother Mopar with the electronic 904. All flung on the public by the EPA CAFE requirement s and no real period for the Manufacturers to come up with a viable product. Think Mopars Lean Burn, Fords Vari-Jet Carb and GM's first Computer Controlled system in 1987 and Cadillac's Bosch/Delco fuel injection set op on the 1976 Seville's.   19. Agreed, we need the Euro type of government the Euro education, medical and military system to be a world class nation. The American unions could take a lesson from their European brothers also.
  20. Put a want listing here on BMT, some body might have a old hood laying around. If not than most likely find it in a salvage yard or find one in a fleet yard.
  21. Yea if I ever get a full run on it. Last year is was a New Currie Rear assembly that had a twist in it from assembly. Took a month to find the problem, ship it back to them and a month and a have them check it, re make a new one and ship it to me. Now it's been electronics. Should put my 55 Chevy back is track shape, most exotic thing in that is the Wayne head.
  22. I haven't heard to much about it. My NOX come in 3 stages with a delay until full spool up. The fuel pressure and injector pulse increase with each NOX stage and the timing retards at the full 55 p.s.i. boost. I'm running 2 plugs per cylinder and two sets of injectors. One set in the intake and a second set piggy backed with the NOX nozzles in the head. The electronics for the NOX delay keep failing. and causes a full lean and the entire system goes to idle only.

Very truthful IF you do the Fuzzy White House Math. Here is a mathematical formula to prove his statement was correct! If: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ are represented as 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 Then: H-A-R-D-W-O-R-K is 8+1+18+4+23+15+18+11 = 98% And: K N O W L E D G E is 11+14+15+23+12+5+4+7+5 = 96% But: A T T I T U D E is 1+20+20+9+20+21+4+5 = 100% Therefore: B U L L S H * T is 2+21+12+12+19+8+9+20 = 103% See, she does give more than 100% to the American People!!
