  1. Even with the modern greases I still do what the manual says, just on GP. Why change what works? Paul
  2. Got on a vintage Ford site. It looks like 1952 and down truck or 39 to 49 Mercury or Linclin spring snubber. Or a mid 60's to mid 70's Mopar pinion snubber could easily be adapted. Paul

  9. My wife has 3 main rules for me and the kitchen appliances Don't bake motorcycle cylinders in her convection oven to cure wrinkle paint, don't use the mixer for gel coat and tint and don't put parts in the freezer wrapped in freezer paper and forget about them.
  10. Cab looks really solid and pretty straight, unlike a lot in the North East. Paul
  11. Course the man with the Country Club woman looks a bit P O'd with her. The cleaner looks like she could clean your office and your bank account right quick
  12. Today I learned Michael Obama feels life as First Lady and first family is harder and more difficult than any Military Spouses families life is. (Where to go this week end. . .Hawaii or the Bahamas. Military wife decides Food Pantry or the Dollar Store) She also mentioned AGAIN she doesn't get paid for all the hard work she does a First Lady but she should be paid... Michelle compared her life as a presidents wife to that of a military wife. “Dealing with everything that I was dealing with—a spouse traveling, a job, kids– we dealt with multiple moves, I learned about the challenges that happen when you move from base to base to base,” Michelle said, “The way your kids have to adjust on a dime. And doing it knowing that the person you love is constantly in harm’s way. I was moved in a way that I didn’t expect.” I also learnt that Hillary believes the Vermont has no gun laws, a 10 year old can buy a AK-47 and most all gun crimes in N.Y. are from the truck loads of illegal guns coming from Vermont . FACTS over 1000+ gun crimes in NY were from NY owned stolen guns, 600+ from Virginia and Pennsylvania and GASP 55 form Vermont http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/apr/12/hillary-clinton-misleads-vermont-gun-claim/ Bernie Sanders has rigged the political system against her.... http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/apr/12/rich-irony-hillary-clinton-blames-bernie-sanders-r/
  13. Oh the humanity!! What about the damage to the _____________________ * (fill in the flora or fauna). i can hear Obama and Gore stuttering now!
  14. Mike, I don't know how you do it. I've had good offers on my REO, International my ex Haynes Falls V.F.D. N model mini service unit and 2 of my Crane carriers. Can not do it, I always find an excuse to stop the adoption process. Last one when I asked what he planned on doing with my N, told me he was going to rip out the "piece of crap" diesel and put a 540 Chevy in it. Told him to get off my property before I let my dogs out. My 3 Bassets would drool him to death. Paul
  15. Freightliner did 4 doors for Eaton and Cummins to use for product promo and testing, KW did a few for Spicer and TRW for the same use. Both did some for Hy Rail Conversions too. Paul
  16. If you are running gas with any percentage of Ethanol , that's where the water in coming from. Ethanol absorbs moisture. Use the Blue Marine Sta-ble and you should pretty much end the fuel problems. Point ignition "problems" are something we used to live with. The rub block wears down from lack of lube and closes up the point gap. A weak contact spring will cause point bounce, Dirty of eroded contacts cause hard starting and running problems (used to have a point file to fix that) a weak condenser causes starting problems and last a poor contact from the rotor to the coil twer on the cap causes problems. Take a close look at the igition coil, they weaken over time. Check it with an ohm meter and check the spark for a good blue color. I would get a NAPA set of points, condenser, cap and rotor and go from there or read up on the Pertronix Electronic Ignition conversion that fits under the cap and nobody knows it is there. Paul
  17. Many or hopefully most will companies will see it that way, but I would bet quite a few will only look at the initial outlay. Now, what I've read on them they have drive train wise, mostly the same as the premium unit, the savings seems to be on the labor costs and how they enter the country, fully assembled or a partial knock down. Inexpensive unit + inexperienced "driver" working for low salary = initial increase in profits. Since most times today it seems profit rules over ultimate costs. Paul
  18. That's why I said inexpensive as opposed to cheap. Even a savings of a few percent over a so called main stream unit is a plus for most companies. Paul
  19. Wonder if it's one of the old Eaton or Cummins Crew cab tractors. Al though I recall them being Dual Drives. Paul
  20. With China's currency manipulation they will be an inexpensive alternative to the other units. We'll probably see a ton of them on the roads when the fleets see the savings.
  21. Yep Your right too. so it's a Dongnavicatlinerfong.
  22. Original as built. Pretty darn cool. No ties. Paul http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2016/04/14/unrestored-1929-studebaker-house-car-shows-how-to-get-away-from-it-all-without-getting-away-from-it-all/?refer=news
