All with only 50 Brake H.P.
41chevy replied to 41chevy's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
If you look at the photo very close, you'll see the trailer is on a wooden "bridge" over the open sub way dig, and the shield is being jacked and put on cribbing to off load it from the trailer. All with screw jacks, no hydraulic here! -

With the modern battery technology the 24 volt system is not really needed. A cheapo 12 Volt battery has more CCA and reserve than what the truck originally came with. Paul -

Sanders in my opinion is as bad or worst than Obama in some aspects, being a Communist Socialist Progressive Liberal Marxist. The Gen X 'es like him because he also promises more social programs like free healthcare, free college, $15 per hour minimum wage, subsidized housing and utilities. Go back to some of his speeches in the past year, it is scary how progressive some of what he spoke about. Want it? Work for it!

Supreme Court Rules Police DO NOT Need A Warrant To Search Your Home“Instead of adhering to the warrant requirement,” ... “today’s decision tells the police they may dodge it, never mind ample time to secure the approval of a neutral magistrate.”By M. David for New York Daily News | December 3, 2015 Much to the surprise of the general public, the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled in favor of expanded the ability of law enforcement to search without warrants. Justice Samuel Alito wrote for the majority of the court which ruled 6 to 3, the Washington Post reported. “An occupant who is absent due to a lawful detention or arrest stands in the same shoes as an occupant who is absent for any other reason,” Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. wrote. “Alito said there was no need for officers to obtain a warrant,” the Post explained. “When the situation remains fluid to the possible perpetration of a broad base of crimes. The case in question stemmed from a 2009 arrest and search related to a robbery in Los Angeles. What happened when police arrived was a girlfriend of an occupant allowed them to access the apartment, even though her boyfriend had refused to consent to the search. But later, the girlfriend said she felt intimidated and only consented to the search because of police intimidation. This all happened after law enforcement had been told that they would not be given permission to search. The police persisted, and she caved to their request. Initially, it was Roxanne Rojas who opened the door, but Walter Fernandez then quickly told officers they had to leave if they did not have a warrant, according to The Los Angeles Times. “You don’t have any right to come in here. I know my rights,” Fernandez yelled at them from inside the apartment. According to court records, Fernandez was shortly thereafter arrested in connection with the robbery the police were investigating. It was after they had taken him away that they returned, an hour later, and searched his apartment, this time with Rojas’ consent because Fernandez was not there. Even though they lacked the probable cause to obtain a warrant or enter without one legally, they had arrested him, and then returned to obtain the bullied consent from Rojas, after Fernandez refused. Once inside, they found a shotgun and what they deemed “gang-related materials.” But in a case eight years before that, the Supreme Court ruled that the refusal should have once and for all prohibited the police from entering, or even returning and pressing the issue. “A physically present inhabitant’s express refusal of consent to a police search” of his home “s dispositive as to him, regardless of the consent of a fellow occupant,” the court had then determined. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Justices Sonia Sotomayor, along with Elena Kagan penned the dissenting opinion in this ruling. They said that the decision has nothing to do with the Fourth Amendment, giving police a degree of power is necessary for the general public's safety. “Instead of adhering to the warrant requirement,” Ginsburg said, “today’s decision allows the police to dodge it, not having to waste time to secure the approval of a magistrate.” She added that the ruling, “shrinks to petite size our holding in Georgia v. Randolph.”

New York Times, Oped 1/31/2016 If you own a gun in Albany, NY, you need to follow up on the new law that has gone into effect as of 1 January 2016. If your gun is not in your control, it must be cleared and locked up. Fines are heavy for offenders, starting at $250 for a first offense, and rising from there and including jail time. Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan told the Times Union it’s a common sense approach to some of the gun problems in the city. “This is about responsible gun ownership,” Sheehan said. “This is important legislation to, number one, educate people about the importance of gun safety and then say, ‘We’re going to put some teeth in this because it is that important to our community. We will have Code Enforcement personnel implement raids to check for the gun owners compliance ’” This new law raises as-yet unanswered questions, such as how does this do anything to deter the criminal aspect? It seems as though law-makers expect criminals to actually follow rules and laws. Which is interesting, since criminals don’t exactly follow existing regulations when they wish to procure a gun.

"People should and do trust me" - Hillary Clinton
41chevy replied to kscarbel2's topic in Odds and Ends
Hillary Caught With 22 TOP SECRET Emails State Department officials also said the agency’s Diplomatic Security and Intelligence and Research bureaus are investigating if any of the information was classified at the time of transmission, going to the heart of Clinton’s defense of her email practices. In other words, even her closest pals in the Obama administration may not be able to help her for much longer. The department on Friday evening published its latest batch of emails from her time as America’s top diplomat. But that seven email chains will be withheld in full for containing “top secret” information. The 37 pages include messages a key intelligence official recently said concerned “special access programs.” These are highly restricted, classifieds material that could point to confidential sources or clandestine programs. Like drone strikes. Department officials wouldn’t describe the substance of the emails, or say if Clinton sent any herself. Clinton insists she never sent or received information on her personal email account that was classified at the time. No emails released so far were marked classified. But reviewers previously designated more than 1,000 messages at lower classification levels. Friday’s will be the first at top secret level. Even if Clinton didn’t write or forward the messages, she still would have been required to report any classification slippages she recognized in emails she received. Department responses for classification infractions could include counseling, warnings or other action, officials said. They wouldn’t say if Clinton or senior aides who’ve since left government could face penalties. The officials weren’t authorized to speak on the matter and demanded anonymity. The emails have been a Clinton campaign issue since 10 months ago, when her exclusive use (while in office) of a homebrew email server in the basement of her family’s New York home. Clinton first called the decision a matter of convenience, then a mistake. Last March, Clinton and the State Department said no business conducted in the emails included top-secret matters. Both said her account was never hacked or compromised, which security experts assess as unlikely. Clinton and the State Department also claimed the vast majority of her emails were preserved properly for archiving because she corresponded mainly with government accounts. They’ve backtracked from that claim in recent months. Independent experts say it’s unlikely Clinton will be charged with wrongdoing, based on details that have surfaced so far and the lack of indications she intended to break laws. She’s a Clinton. They’re above the law. I was always under the impression that "ignorance of the law is no excuse" Paul -

1926 MACK Aluminum Container and Ramp Track System to load and off load unit. Designed for less than a car load of freight. 1926 also was the year MACK built winches came out, PTO's and followed by MACK built 5th wheels in 1930. When you ordered a specific truck for MACK it was 95% MACK built.

And the baby and mother at Ruby Ridge attacked agents with a fully loaded diaper. Don't fully believe either side. One was stupid to run and the interview with the agents, strike me as trigger happy. The quote that "they'll think twice before they 'F' with us again" from a blurred face LEO gives me that impression.

You are mostly talking to sheep being led to slaughter, when it's too late the light goes on. Happens in my barn every spring when my Lambs go to Club Westinghouse , no different than whats going to happen here soon. I can not stand quietly when things are not right and constantly catch crap about it. Caught flak in the service sticking up for some Vietnamese, catch it now Know what? Fck'em!! I can sleep at night knowing I stood up for what is right.
