Lawn equipment maker Ariens at odds with Muslims workers
41chevy replied to kscarbel2's topic in Odds and Ends
Now you should give the Somali's some credit. We have their form of "warlord government" in place in Detroit, Chicago, South Central L.A. and many other cities and towns in our country. -
What about metal spraying them and re machining them? I know it works for brake drums. Paul

What model Mack is this?

I dealt with the person in Iowa on a price, sent a deposit, arranged pick up , had plane tickets to get there and bring it home and he didn't think I was interested and sold it. From there the deal got worse. Like a boil on you butt, it just kills you. -
Turn the wheel very slow to bleed the air out and not cause it to foam. Paul

Call a government office and try to get someone on the line without a heavy accent. Local Post Mistress speaks what sounds like Pigdin. Asked for as package being held and was told "Me lookie see" -

Don't think the aluminum tanks would survive to long in a land fill. Town Brookhaven and the Town of Huntington land fills do not allow un "skid plated" alloy tanks in to the off load area. Too easy to puncture. Paul -

So let me get this clear. The Liberals aside from the Racist flag, wave the Separation of Church and State flag (molded to their view not as written) when ever any part of Christian religion is taught (Crusades anyone?) Christian values, a simple prayer before game, or the word "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance is uttered in a public school, BUT we build prayer rooms and teach Islamic history and values. What is wrong with this? Paul -
MACK Built Trailers

I wonder how many were mistaken as an other make. Not many know MACK made trailers, truck bodies and aluminum lit off containers (look like a vintage Pod) -

How many know MACK built trailers, dump and cargo bodies and a lift off container in the mid 1920's Mack made 6,201 similar semi- and full trailers from 1929 to 1944, and some were bi-directional four-wheel wagons that could be towed from either end. MACK Model 12-16S trailer built in 1938, single rear axle and Westinghouse air brakes. The trailer carries a Caterpillar industrial diesel from about 1929. MACK 1921 enclosed semi trailer MACK 1921 Dump trailer The Bi directional trailer MACK built used a lot of off shelf AC components. MACK Bi Directional Trailer w/AC6 MACK Bi Direction Trailer

Guess it's job AC MACK

No, It used the unit on the back to vibrate a pair of equally spaced tent poles into and out of the ground. The poles were 6 inch dia and 8 to 10 feet long tubes that the support posts would fit in to. I acutually have a video of it working but BMT keeps telling me I can not post it here. (?) Paul -
GM had National and International dealer and support network with "brand recognition. Plus the Detroit Diesel power plant and post WWII the Hydramatic transmission. By sheer production and corporate size GM could under cut the price of each bus below it competitors prices. GM also bought out a lot of it competitors like Fageol. Grey-Hound used both GM and MACK buses up to the early 1960's and used MACK buses as far back as the early 1930's. In my opinion MACK seemed to be mainly East Coast and Eastern Canada. Paul

The local school district spent $370,000 to put prayer rooms in 4 school buildings for the Muslim Students (all 5 of them) to go pray. But disciplined 2 students for reading bibles silently in a study hall. When the parents threatened court action their punishment was dropped but school policy is that the bible can be read out of the building... Shira Law is already enforced in many places -
All of my trucks including my Marmon I run a 50/50 pre mix Green or Universal Anti freeze with no problems. Here is the Tech notes from NAPA on anti freeze, compatibility and "retro fitting" Paul Bad News, Good News The bad news is that it doesn't come down to color matching. Isn't all antifreeze compatible? Sorry, but it isn't. There are a few cases where you can get a fast case of corrosion, some where the water pump can be both eroded and corroded to an early death, and a lot of cases where you can shorten the effective life of the antifreeze. Antifreeze itself (most commonly a chemical called ethylene glycol) doesn't wear out–ever–but the key ingredients are the rust and corrosion inhibitors, and they get used up. The most common inhibitors, silicates for aluminum protection, are used up faster than others. That's why some new cars (all General Motors, Mercury Cougar, VW/Audi models) have red or orange antifreeze with a new class of inhibitors, called organic acids. Examples of U.S. brands with these organic acids: Havoline Dex-Cool and Prestone Extended Life, both recommended for five years or 150,000 miles. That's the good news. Fill 'Er Up How about just pouring orange antifreeze into every cooling system, say, yours? Sorry, but it's not that simple. The new organic acid antifreezes may be used only if the cooling system has an aluminum radiator (rather than copper-and-brass). However, let's assume the reason you're thinking of a coolant change is because you're changing a cooling system part (pump, radiator, heater, thermostat housing) on a system with a conventional coolant, not an organic acid orange or pink. In that case, don't change to organic acid orange, even if the part you're installing is aluminum. Use a fresh fill of familiar U.S. yellow/gold or green silicated antifreeze. The two orange extended-life antifreezes are compatible with each other, with what's factory-fill in GM ca rs and the '99 Mercury Cougar, and with the pink in VW/Audi cars. However, they're not compatible with a special orange antifreeze in 1998-99 Chrysler L/H cars (Dodge Intrepid/Chrysler Concorde and 300M), a special "hybrid" mix of organic acids and silicates. The green in most Japanese cars contains no silicates, so it's not the same as the green in the parts store. The yellow in some European cars contains some silicates, but it's very different from yellow Prestone, the top-selling U.S. brand. And then there is red antifreeze used by Toyota, and blue used on some European and Korean cars. Freshen Up That Cup For You, Sir? What about just topping up a system that's low? What kind should you use? If the system (except for Chrysler L/H) has orange or pink, use Prestone or Havoline orange for top-up. All you have on hand is regular U.S. yellow/gold or green? Well, if you're desperate, use what you've got, because it's better than running low o n coolant and possibly overheating. But the mixture is shortening the life of the antifreeze. By how much? It would take lab tests to tell, so the best deal is to do the equivalent of a "retrofit." Can you retrofit all systems? Sorry, the answer is no. What about draining green or yellow/gold from the radiator and refilling with orange? Is that considered a "retrofit"? No, and you'd better not try that, either. What if the system has Japanese green, Toyota red, Korean or European blue, or European yellow? As we noted, European and Korean formulas have silicates, so U.S. green or yellow/gold is all right, but it slightly compromises the extended life formulas some have. Typically all that means is: Change at 30,000 instead of 36,000 miles. The Japanese green and red antifreezes have no silicates, but they are very different from U.S. orange. If you really drain out the old antifreeze from any of these systems (thoroughly rinse the system with fresh water), you certainly can refill with a U.S. yellow/gold or green silicated antifreeze.
