I believe most are on the same page as Obama and his cronies. Not about the nation or the people, it's all power and money, not Civic Duty, not Patriotism or a sense of honor. The one clear thing is the growing resentment against government and this president and it spreads across a broad band of diverse groups of people. Paul

Obamama is busy working quietly with his Media darlings, pen and phone to destroy the Nation. He works to create divisions among the citizens, religions and races, encouraging a culture of ridicule for the morality and principles that created and sustained this country for 240 years. He is undermining our financial stability, weakening and basically destroying the military, controlling public education, disarming law abiding citizens through executive orders and bringing in what I feel will be his personal army of gang bangers, drug cartels and Muslims.

My B Mixer doesn't have them and never did. There is a member restoring a B-42 fuel oil delivery unit, no front shocks either. All any shocks job is to dampen the suspension bounce (or recoil). In my personal opinion with the normal B Model front springs and normal tires they are pointless. Paul

I'll have to study this odd thing called "selling a vehicle" Curious idea. Is it a local custom in Ohio or Pa? Surely this can not be a wide spread thing.... -

Different work ethic plays a very large factor also. -
It's a residential Cesspool Ring truck. My info shows the pit nose conversions were made by WARD 79 Limited from Up State N.Y. Same company that did MACK conversions for the DM600 , RD600 and RS600

sad parts stores

One thing too is the time frame most of us grew up in. In most cases we all had auto shop and technical classes in school, vehicles we cobbled together, places to race or watch and a ton of gear head friends and family. Now most younger people don't have an older vehicle to drive, schools frown on technical classes and parents push kids away from those fields. Lastly, the past few generations grew up with computers and internet and get all info there. They no longer are taught or have the patience to search for an answer beyond the computer. Progress I guess.. -
My last trip to the VA was the last trip to the VA. I had a Nurse and Doctor both ask if I owned any weapons. When I asked what does that have to do with my visit, the generic answer was that it is required to be asked. I guess veterans are to be feared by this administration?

Amber fender lights for a 53 mack
41chevy replied to tpotter's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Same unit used by Harley Davidson 1936 to 1957 front fender lights with either clear or amber glass lens. I believe the Harley dealers sell repros lights and lenses. Paul -
Restored truck prices?

Out of 30 or 40 vehicles I've restored , hot rodded or personalized I have only made money on 2 and lost or broke even on the rest.. Best advise IMO is buy what you like, buy the best you can afford and never expect to make money. In the long run you will be happier. Paul -
They were spaced off the hood and tilted with it. Fenders appeared to be Aluminum

"President Barack Obama will review in a matter of "weeks not months" final recommendations on how he can impose new gun restrictions without Congress and "will not be satisfied" without action before the end of his term, a top aide said. Gun violence is "probably the issue that has touched him most personally over the course of his presidency," White House communications director Jen Psaki said at a meeting hosted by Bloomberg News in Washington. Obama will hold a news conference later Friday before traveling to San Bernardino, California, to meet with the families of victims of the Dec. 2 terrorist attack that killed 14 people and injured 22. The Justice Department is preparing recommendations on how best to craft restrictions that don’t require legislation from Congress and can survive court challenges by gun-rights advocates. The administration is considering a "range of steps that can be taken as it relates to the people who have access to guns" and "how people gain access to guns," Psaki said. She indicated she did not expect any action before Christmas. "We fully recognize that there are limitations" to what can be done without Congress, she said. "I’m not going to take anything on or off the table" she said of options including closing the so-called gun show loophole for background checks and a proposed ban on gun purchases by people on the federal "no-fly" list." 80 plus TSA agents are on the no fly list, 37 Congressmen and Senators are on the no fly list (was 38 but Teddy died) do they lose their jobs or get a free pass? The "gun-show loophole", make it sound as if gun shows are free-for-all smorgasbords where you can get anything from BB guns to fully-automatic weapons to anti-aircaft missiles with only cash-in-hand, a wink and a nod. If you want to buy a gun at a store or a gun show, you MUST pass the NICS background check. There is no question about that. To sell one of my registered weapons privately I MUST conduct the transfer through a licensed fire arms dealer to process the transfer. To buy a weapon off the internet I must go through a licensed firearms dealer to process and transfer the weapon to my local licensed firearms dealer who than processes it to me per BATFE regulations. So what is this "gun show loophole" that we hear about so much?? Well, it's when a gun show allows "unlicensed dealers" in. Now, if you sell guns for a living, you have to have a federal license to do that. It's part of the Gun Control Act of 1968 (which the NRA supported, by the way). There is no question about that either. So who are these "unlicensed dealers"? They don't sell guns. They sell books, T-shirts, camping equipment, etc. People in power push a false narrative. Now is response to KS gun death tally: There are approximately 33,000 people killed each year in the USA with firearms. That number is nearly identical to the number of people that are killed in automobile crashes and it is also nearly identical to the number of people killed by accidental poisonings. However, if you factor out suicide by firearm the number of gun deaths by homicide drops to a little over 12,000. So shouldn't we be banning cars and over the counter medicines? By the way if any of you doubt the figures, go to the CDC website and look. Paul

Could be, no mention on the brochure but that means nothing. Nothing like that in in the North East unless it was for municipalities. Nice conversion none the less. Paul

US industrial heartland frets as Fed rate rise looms

Like Herr Hitlers last days in Berlin moving imaginary armies, advisers telling him of winning great victories on all fronts, factories turning out tens of thousand of products every month and all happy people out side the bunker. . .so the current images the administrations czars tell "O" of life outside the Rainbow/Unicorn Command Center -
I see a few issues raised with the new White House plans. One is the bombing of ISIS/ISL training bases. There are known to be 60 plus, Obama will only strike at 20 because the other 40 plus are "too close to civilians" and may incur casualties. Second issue is the White House no fly zone, seem the White House is doing it to provoke Russia and keep the path for the black market through Turkey open for weapons and oil more than anything else. Luckily for ISIS/ISL Obama is more concerned with working with the Justice Department on his pending Executive Order for U.S. gun control legislation than those pesky ISIS people. .
