watts wiring
41chevy replied to Willie dog's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
The one in Maine Vintage Wiring stops at 1952 for MACK gave me a price of almost $1500 3 years ago and wanted my old harness to copy an reuse the plugs and connectors and that was with out the engine compartment/headlights and directionals. That harness was extra. Harnesses Unlimited. Wiring Harnesses made. PO Box 435 Wayne, PA 19087-0435 Telephone: 610-688-3998 is probably the one Watts uses. They custom make them to order. -
Have a safe and good Thanksgiving! We will be at the LI Vets Home for most of the day cooking. .

watts wiring
41chevy replied to Willie dog's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
I bought one from Barry. It is exactly what was installed at the factory, OEM style connectors, wire loom cover, color coded cloth over modern insulated wire. But that said if you aren't going for a show restoration, make your own or go Painless. I bought it or my Mixer because I want the factory look. Paid less than 18 from Watts last year too. Paul -
Hillary Clinton Apologizes for Saying ‘Illegal Immigrants’
41chevy replied to kscarbel2's topic in Odds and Ends
First and foremost Sanders and Clinton are just in bed with the illegals for the voter base, after the election it's business as usual. You sneak across the border like a criminal, well guess what? You are. Hillary says they have names, well you can use your name to file an application for a Work Visa or Citizenship. Now a question, What does the Sandy Hook, Columbine and Colorado Movie shootings have to do with her using the term illegals? One other little tidbit of useless info. We have in Suffolk County a group called the Coalition of Hispanics .They made the rounds of the Eastend Farms and Wineries to inform everyone that it is in "our best interests to hire their people". We were told at a meeting with Suffolk County officials, the Suffolk P.D.,Riverhead Township, and the Hamptons Townships that they do not see it as threat but a friendly suggestion for their people to get work. Plain English. If you are not here with a Visa, Work Card or through legal emigration channels . . .you are breaking our laws and are Illegal! Si no está aquí con una visa, tarjeta trabajo oa través de canales de emigración legal . . .you están rompiendo nuestras leyes y son ilegales ! -

ACLU Sues Indiana Gov. Pence Over Refusal to Resettle Syrian Refugees Tuesday, 24 Nov 2015 The American Civil Liberties Union on Monday sued Indiana Governor Mike Pence over his refusal to allow refugees fleeing Syria's civil war to resettle in the state, saying his position violates federal authority and the U.S. Constitution. Pence is one of more than 25 governors, mostly Republicans, who have publicly called on President Barack Obama to stop resettling Syrian refugees following the Nov. 13 attacks in Paris that killed 130 people. The governors cited concerns that some refugees could be associated with Islamic State militants. In the lawsuit, the ACLU said decisions concerning immigration and refugee resettlement are exclusively the province of the federal government and cannot be dictated by state officials. "Attempts to pre-empt that authority violate both equal protection and civil rights laws and intrude on authority that is exclusively federal," ACLU of Indiana legal director Ken Falk said in a statement. Pence could not immediately be reached for comment about the lawsuit, one of the first brought by the ACLU, which has promised legal action in many states where governors have said they will turn away Syrian refugees. The Obama administration has stood by its pledge to admit some 10,000 refugees into the United States over the next year despite calls by governors and congressional Republicans to stop the entry of Syrians fleeing a civil war in their homeland. The U.S. State Department last week confirmed that a refugee family that had been headed to Indiana was relocated to Connecticut, but did not specify the country from which the family came. Refugee advocates note that candidates for resettlement go through extensive background checks, taking up to two years, before reaching the United States. The lawsuit in Indiana was brought on behalf of Exodus Refugee Immigration Inc., a nonprofit corporation that receives federal money to help resettle refugees in the United States. The United States admitted 1,682 Syrian refugees in the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30, up from 105 admitted the previous fiscal year and projects the admission of up to 75,000 for the new fiscal year. Department of Justice legal experts have said governors do not appear to have legal authority to stop refugees from being settled in their states. 2015 Thomson/Reuters

1986 RD lighting issues NEED HELP
41chevy replied to Jearly's topic in Electrical, Electronics and Lighting
Yup that "gentle glow" in ground feed back. Check ALL the grounds for good, clean tight connections including the cab to chassis and grounds on nose. Could try removing the left directional bulb and checking ground continuity at the socket Paul -

They steal entire vehicles! A few years ago we had an 1969 AMC Pro Street AMX stolen right out of the NYC Javits Center. Seen petty theft at Carlisle at the Mopar meet only "little" things like trim, center caps, exhaust tips. . .stuff you cannot easily replace. 12 years ago we drove my 1941 Chevy Ragtop from Long Island N.Y. to Chicago to the start of Rte 66 to the Fishing Pier in S.F. parked it at night in the motel parking lots. No alarms just faith and locked doors Nothing stolen. Would not try that now! Paul

Most younger Americans and Europeans could care less about any world events unless it affects their favorite app., singer, movie star or sale. Until it affects them directly.. it's life on the cloud. Paul

Good for both of you! Pop still grinning after twheel time in the old friend? Paul -
Look at the local utilites and cable companies, they usually sell 6 to 8 year old 29 foot plus reach bucket trucks for anywhere from $7500 and up. Have a 2004 GMC G3500 Caravan chassis with a Verslift 31 foot bucket on it. I bought it from Optimum Cable, paid $8100 for it. It's in Virginia putting gutters on our new old house.

Here's my dilemma.
41chevy replied to Outbehindthebarn's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Look at it this way, 1)You're probably never going to part with it, 2) if it wasn't rust free than more than likely it wouldn't worth doing , You don't like the window entry so why live with it when you have an option, 4) if and it's a big if you wanted to put it back the rear cab panel is available.
