  2. Couldn't a spring shop (Huntington brake and Spring?) redo your factory spring packs down to 44's? Either by removing the correct leaves or replacing the spring pack with a lighter set? 58000 spring pack is 13 leaves, the 44000 is 10 leaves I see no reason why 3 leaves could not be removed to bring the weight down and improve the ride some. Question is which leaves do you remove? Paul
  3. one coming up for auction in Michigan V-12 powered too. Paul http://auction.orbitbid.com/details.cfm?ID=2350380
  4. I've had bad electrical parts out of the box. China . . .
  5. Absolutely fantastic. Glad you followed through the Christine plan. Did you clear it? Psul
  6. Kind a dump questions, but you have put the flasher in another vehicle to see if it is good? If it is check the connector for the flasher on the L. Paul
  7. We got Hispanics "liberating" batteries and aluminum. They stole all the ramps from Penski and U-Haul. Even put siding company signs up and stole aluminum siding off of a dozen houses. Another of punks stealing old tractor grills and hoods for rat rods. My neighbor had a hood and grill stolen from his Massey. He filed a police report, than went searching the local cruise nites and local hot rod auto shops. Found it in a local speed shop.
  8. Welcome to the forum! Good looking B and sensible plans for it. Keep us posted on progress. Paul
  9. The AC in the trees depending on the bidders could go from a few hundred to a grand each. They both are rough. The green and red AC could go as high as $20,000 or more, depends on the bidders and how much they want them.
  10. You see my former Einstein tire guy a few weeks ago at my yard?? Gallon anti freeze jug with 1/2 gallon gas, pin hole in cap to "squirt" gas and soak off the cold patch. So my ex tire guy squirted some gas into a 11 x 24 tire and decided to light it up to heat a cold patch up to remove it. Einstein squirted more gas into the lit tire patch, which than followed the stream to the plastic anti freeze jug. Einstein throws the jug across the yard with a pretty trail of burning gas. . . right towards his tire service truck. Runs to kick the jug away from the truck and now leaves a bigger trail of fire to my row of extra AC MaCK tires. Mean while the tire and cold patch are now making black smoke from the rubber burning, gas trails burning in the yard and Einsteins boot and pants are now burning. After we put him, the tire and the gas trails out and I told him to leave and don't ever come back, he asks my to get paid for his service call!
  11. Cummins JT-6 175 h.p. diesel optional. Walton P Davis Movers had 2 AC-603 COE's one a gas and one diesel. Gasser got about 1 MPG. They traded them in for I.H.'s
  12. I'm got you by a year or some, I still race. . .even on the drag strip some times. You are too old only after you achieve room temperature.
  13. Yeah! mid 40's? Stude cab, well at least it's so what useful and not a lowered rat rod
  14. You run a few wraps of Frog tape around the edges to make a "dam". As for the thickness, you mix about a coffee mug full and pour a bit on it at a time and tilt back af forth to flow it out. You can always add more to it if needed. I used it on the wood inserts on the console in my'64 Riviera and got it to a thickness to between 1/16 / 3/32. Probably used about 1/2 of a pint or less.
  15. Definatly NOT MEK. Absorbed through the skin and goes to kidneys, ends in massive kidney problems with a minute accumulation. Tractor Supply sells Stoddard parts cleaner solvent $40 for a 5 gallon pail. NAPA sells it also same price. My washer takes 2 pails =10 gallons
  16. Looks awful thick for clear coat almost looks like plastic. If it's plastic you could carefully remove all or as much of it as possible it has cracked de-laminated leaving the dog area intact and use the 2 part clear self leveling Clear Cast pour-able clear acrylic resin. That's the stuff you see in bars and restaurants that have coins and things embedded it them. Michaels and most hobby and craft stores sell it, about 10 or 12 a quart kit with hardener
  17. Photo's 112 and 132 are just amazing! Thanks for the link it sure was interesting! Paul
  18. Glad to hear how well it's doing! Good mileage. Paul
  19. NY Port Authority Tunnel wrecker / fire suppression Unit. 97 inch wheelbase
  20. Saw an 1937 EH-2D tandem at a show a while back. Had a transfer case and a separate drive shaft back to each rear and a non running Lanova diesel. Best info on all the E series most info from the MACK museum. http://www.amazon.com/Mack-Eh-Ej-Em-Eq-Er-Es-1936-Through-1950/dp/1882256395
  21. I have a few more, I have to put them on the computer. After Win died I kind of put things on the back burner. Power was a Detroit Silver 8V-92 with a 5 and 3 trans and unknown air ride.
  22. Same , Same
  23. No, I learned a long while ago from my good friend in Oregon all about them. He was 3rd generation. He was a cat skinner. I learned all about water cooled brakes and "misery saws" from time spent with him. Most of the early logging photos from California, Washington state and Oregon are from him. I have other photos of the set up with a full load on the down slope. Just have to digitally clean them up to post them. Paul
  24. Tandem looks like a real worker. See he's got a MayBerry Cat powered Superliner and a few other MACK early Pete too $$ http://www.ebay.com/itm/1986-MACK-SUPERLINER-RW713-CAT-3406-13-SPEED-3-AXLE-36-BUNK-MANY-NEW-PARTS-/301769247398?forcerrptr=true&hash=item4642d94aa6:g:3ekAAOSwiCRUkyZY&item=301769247398
