  1. Pulled alot of the Chevy style F and 2F inline sixes out of them and put in 307 and 327 V-8's. Damn good 4x4 to start with. Paul
  2. Think the VW thing is bad? Wait until the WOTUS regulations kick in early 2016. The Waters Of The United States EPA regulations govern all waters that eventually end up in the oceans, either by direct path or via under ground aquifers. Know that little damp spot on your yard after a rain? Comes under WOTUS regs which will restrict use of all land around it. Course it also gives the Federal Government control of all waters in the US. Paul
  3. Seen it all to often and the manager forgets that it takes time when you get back to the original job to remember where exactly you were on it.
  4. Wonder if they'll give Tesla credit for wireless power transmission. . . Those positional running boards have litigation written all over them too.
  5. The white box unit almost looks ex NASA.
  6. Probably got the mechanic running all over doing "rush" jobs.
  7. Garden City Long Island Fire Department 1923 La-France Brockway Torpedo.
  8. Seems most everywhere is not the smallest group with the biggest voice makes the rules. Schools allow you to wear a Muslin Crescent, a Star of David in view but not a Crucifix! A Catholic university was ordered to remove the Crucifixes from public areas because a Muslim group found them offensive! Why did they chose a private Christian College to attend than? Doesn't fall under the Separation of Church and State line either. That was written not to limit religion but to prevent the Government declaring a state religion, like was done in England at the time. When are we getting the Asian, Hindu, Weegan, Central and South American Holidays added on? Might as well go whole hog and add in the Gay and Lesbians, the agnostics and what ever other group wants in, since the country seems to be in the "kiss everyones AZZ" mode. My opinion, you don't like it? do go there or leave.
  9. I have three trucks I hope some one could check out for me in Chickasha Oklahoma. A 1961 B-75 MACk, a 1947 EF MACK and a 1949 FWD. Paul
  10. Secretary of State John F. Kerry, who was also learning about her exclusive use of the e-mail account for the first time Interesting, BBC, Polsat and the Washington Post, (the only paper here who ran with it) all hinted the inside sources at the State Department laid the blame on Kerry for preventing or delaying the release of information on the E mails and blocking testimony by her former aides
  11. I'm a Druid I want Ardor Day off!!
  12. For a toy I'd use a Ram /Cummins 5.9 and the auto trans.
  13. Idle Speed Control,Dodge uses a stepper motor held in the Throttle body with a pair of screws it's on the Throttle body with a 4 or 6 wire plug. It controls the Idle speed on cold start up when there is a load on the engine like steering wheel turned to the stop. . They get dirty with carbon and oil from the PCV. They generally stick open and act like a vacuum leak. Pull it clean it get it un stuck and it should be fine. If not it's about the cost of a few burgers at the parts store. Some times the Throttle body to intake gasket also leaks but generally it is the IAC being dirty. Paul
  14. And let LEO's enforce the laws for everybody, not select groups when it is politically convenient..
  15. Fast idle is a dirty ISC you can pull it clean it and the seat and is should fix the high idle. Paul
  16. Bottom line is it is all Bull Sh*t to get money in fines and to please a far left environmental group whom started this entire debacle. Like Navistar who used EPA designed and suggested emissions technology and got punished for it or the non existing bio additive the EPA requires in fuel that the EPA fines refiners for not using! Seems the Administrations agenda is punish any and all technology that is fossil fuel based. (Think COAL)
  17. Look in your other post on these, WATTS has them new in their B Model store made by Grotte with the curve to fit the B cab roof.
  18. WATTS (the owner of the site) has them new . Mention you are a BMT Member if you call http://www.wattstruckcenter.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=59_71&product_id=377
  19. So basically VW has to admit fault or else the US EPA will with hold certification aVW will lose North America sales followed by the EU EPA doing the same with their certification. End result is VW destroyed as a company. Wonder why the EPA doesn't go after GM or Chrysler. . . government turn a blind eye to their pets?
  20. WoW a couple of miles north and the words meaning changes. I put driving lights as bumper mounted 6 or 7 inch beams. Can't help you.
  21. If you go see if you can, please see what the Chrysler Sno Runner goes for. Paul
  22. 239 is based on a 360 V-8. (360 - 122 = 238. My 1988 (made in Sept 1987) has an RV cam a 1 inch phonalic spacer under injector and the timing was kicked ahead til it pinged and backed of a few degrees. I have not problems getting up to speed or keeping up with traffic, it will cruise all day at 65 /70. Get 10 around town and 15 highway with a heavy duty 4 speed and 4:10 gears. As for the erratic idle they most all V-6's had it and replacing the Intake Air Charge Temp Sensor with the updated one cures the erratic idle. The original sensor is cooled off by the intake air and puts the system in to cold start and raises the idle. The up dated one has a deflector on it to get a true reading.
  23. At least it's probably not getting hot rodded.
