  2. Obamas "park" encompasses the largest Copper, Oil, Natural Gas and Gold deposits in the country, which will not be touchable. People who are there have to leave, roads go away and companies close. Approximately 40% of Alaska's income is derived from this areas production of timber, fisheries, oil, gas, gold and copper. "WASHINGTON USA Today — President Obama will designate more than 12 million acres of Alaska's wildlife refuge as a protected wilderness area, seeking to block oil and gas production, mining and timber harvesting. The 12.28 acres -- including the coastal plain -- also receive the wilderness designation. Environmental groups praised the administration's request. Rhea Suh, president of the Natural Resources Defense Council, called it "the best news for the refuge since President Eisenhower established it in 1960 as the Arctic National Wildlife Range." Interior Department immediately begin managing the coastal plain on ANWR, making mining, oil and gas production no longer possible. The President cited the recent spike in U.S. oil production overall, that the Alaskan oil is not needed and ANWR is too special "to put at risk" through human encroachment and the certainty of oil and natural gas spills.
  3. We had world leadership before we got a community organizer to run things. Now we have a leader who called ISIS a J.V. team who is not a threat. What is he doing about the North Korean build up and the Artillery strike in the DMZ? Well he did agree with the U.N. for us to take 350,000 Syrian "refugees" in.
  4. Nice Jeep!! Great photos too. Aliens must drop off the trailers like that.
  5. Massive Federal subsidies to farmers (see: Big Business) to grow corn for ethanol $$$$$$$$. Only country in the world who has people hungry (seniors mostly) and grows food for fuel. FWD Ethanol starts to degrade at the refinery and in transport by about 15%, add fuel distributors to gas stations another 15 to 20%. Add areas with high humidity and your close to 50% degraded after 40 days.
  6. Tygon (spell?) Fuel line at any Hobby Shop that sells Radio Control Gas Cars or GoPeds. About 2 or 3 Dollars
  7. Post a few photos There was after market pnumatic conversions made by Good Year, Fisk, Dunlop, BUDD and others that involved the cutting and welding to the hub. Some use standard split rims with an attachment ring and some have the split rim with a flange to bolt directly to the factory cast spokes. There was also Factory and Dealer set ups with Spiders or BUDD style Disks with adapters. Paul
  8. I've set Ebay to sent a notification when any MACK Project, parts or complete unit is listed. Not upset about it in general, just that it was a fairly rare unit and pretty complete. It seems that people either cut up fairly rare or odd vehicles for projects that never get finished or they try to resell them for to much money and when they don't sell either let them lay and rot or scrap them. Like hot rodding an AC or AB MACK. I'll make a little brush unit for my property in VA with a polypropylene tank and gas powered water pump and a pair 1 inch hoses on a trailer. Tow it with my Gator or my Ferguson it needed. Paul
  9. I was in Central America I think. Want an other "example"? I returned a call to Suffolk Water District I had to wait until the language menu went from push one for Spanish, push 2 for Chinese, push 3 for Korean, push 4 for English. We seem to be foreigners in our own country. At least Ebonic's has words I understand.
  10. Couldn't prove it to me a few minutes ago. I stopped at Popeyes to pick up lunches for my crew, of the 2 dozen or so customers and workers I appeared to be the only one not speaking a foreign language.
  11. New “Gun Violence Tax” In Seattle Washington Gun Owners of America Alert If you wish to purchase a gun or ammunition in Seattle, prepare to pay more. Recently the city council passed a $25 tax on gun sales and .05 tax per round of ammunition purchased. They also passed an ordinance requiring that all lost guns must be reported. “Every day, the general public pays the enormous cost of gun violence,” said Council President Tim Burgess moments after the vote. “Gun violence is a public health crisis in our city and our nation. City government can and must pursue innovative gun safety measures that save lives and save money. As it has in other areas of policy, Seattle can lead the way in local solutions. “A gun violence tax will give us revenue to provide broad-based benefits through gun violence prevention programs. Mandatory reporting of purchases of weapons and ammunition provides the police information critical to investigations. I’m grateful for my colleagues’ full support for both of these measures.” Gun store owners in the city are planning to sue the city council, and they are examining the numbers proposed by this tax closely, with the general feeling the numbers have been greatly inflated. While legislation is being examined by the courts, the law will go into effect. There are stores seeking to move outside of city limits, in order to be able to stay in business.
  12. Gay marriage, medical marijauna, recreational marijauna, immigration... the list goes on and on of laws that are supposed to be decided state by state. Truth is, no they aren't. There are two basic levels in the U.S legal system: Federal law and State law. A federal law applies to the nation as a whole and to all 50 states whereas state laws are only in effect within that particular state. If a State law gives people more rights than a Federal law, the State law is legally supposed to prevail. This means State law will always supersede Federal law when the person in question stands to gain more from the state law, right? Wrong. The law that applies to situations where State and Federal laws disagree is called the Supremacy Clause, which is part of Article VI of the Constitution. The Supremacy Clause contains what's known as the Doctrine of Pre-emption, which says that the Federal Government wins in the case of conflicting legislation. Basically, if a Federal and State law contradict, then when you're in the state, you can follow the state law, but the Feds can decide to stop you. When there is a conflict between a State law and Federal law, the Federal law that prevails. For example, if a Federal regulation allows same sex marriage, but a States regulation prohibits it, the Federal law prevails.
  13. Great story! Nice work on the chassis and engine. Oh and nice "Henry" too. 1926 or 27 ? Paul

  15. That rule is only for the masses, don't see any of those in power being held accountable for disregarding court orders, the constitution or laws they dislike.
  16. No mom and pop Auto supply stores any more all Auto Zone's, Pep Boys and such.
  17. No problems figuring things out until the education system get hold of them than it's brain washing away

  19. Wonder if that's a hydraulic tank for a dump body. Big battery box on the right side. http://www.wantaddigest.com/forsale/wantad.asp?onlineid=BLU0006&adid=A00001
  20. Can't get Starbrite in NY only Bell but both do the same job and same additives. Both are good
  21. Just about CRG and the auctioneer making $$$ it's a combined fee for the 2 companies. Heck of a lot of money. My interest is in the '16 AC and the late 30's AC.One of the first and one of the last. For me it' a ferry ride and a few hour ride there so it's an easy trip.
  22. You have to use the Stabil Marine, the red actually contains more Ethanol so it is worst than none at all. The Bell has additives to protect the older rubber, plastic and zinc cast carb an fuel pump parts. Paul
  23. Paying sales tax in Massachusetts negates the sales tax in NY so I come out 2.5% on the plus side buyer fee is 15% on site less the 2.5% I save on tax so a buyers fee of 12.5% is the same as Mecham or RM auctions. On the down side CRG can charge up to 25% fee depending on payment method.
