  1. GOD BLESS AMERICA !!!!!! Andy Rooney DID YOU KNOW? As you walk up the steps to the building which houses the US Supreme Court you can see near the top of the building a row of the world's law givers and each one is facing one in the middle who is facing forward with a full frontal view ... it is Moses and he is holding the Ten Commandments! DID YOU KNOW? As you enter the Supreme Court courtroom, the two huge oak doors have the Ten Commandments engraved on each lower portion of each door. DID YOU KNOW? As you sit inside the courtroom, you can see the wall, right above where the Supreme Court judges sit, a display of the Ten Commandments! DID YOU KNOW? There are Bible verses etched in stone all over the Federal Buildings and Monuments in Washington, DC DID YOU KNOW? James Madison, the fourth president, known as "The Father of Our Constitution" made the following statement: "We have staked the whole of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the TenCommandments of God." DID YOU KNOW? Patrick Henry, that patriot and Founding Father of our country said: "It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists but by Christians, not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ." DID YOU KNOW? Every session of Congress begins with a prayer by a paid preacher, whose salary has been paid by the taxpayer since 1777. DID YOU KNOW? Fifty-two of the 55 founders of the Constitution were members of the established orthodox churches in the colonies. DID YOU KNOW? Thomas Jefferson worried that the Courts would overstep their authority and instead of interpreting the law would begin making law. An oligarchy. The rule of few over many. DID YOU KNOW? The very first Supreme Court Justice, John Jay, said: "Americans should select and prefer Christians as their rulers." How, then, have we gotten to the point that everything we have done for 220 years in this country is now suddenly wrong and unconstitutional? Chamber, US House of Representatives "If we ever forget that we're One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under." by.. Ronald Reagan
  2. They are all great, but in the back ground of the last set in a copper colored El Dorado with T tops. That and mine are the only ones I've ever seen. The Americas Sweet Heart model A and the Yellow Model A speedster are sweet. Trying to place what the hood used on the speedster is.. Thanks for posting them!! Paul
  3. From a past USS Oklahoma Families Newsletter. Pretty much says it all. "Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001 ? Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan , across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania ? Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they? And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was "desecrated" when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet? Well, I don't. I don't care at all. I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia I'll care when ISIS tells the world they are sorry for hacking off heads while they scream through their gurgling slashed throat. I'll care when the cowardly so-called "insurgents" (ISIS) come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques. I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs. I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights. In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave Marine standing up against the abuse of women and children or roughing up an Afghani terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care for the skewed view that it is wrong to stand up for whats right. When I see a fuzzy photo of enemy prisoners who have been humiliated, rest assured that I don't care. When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank that I don't care. When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed "special" food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being "mishandled," you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts that I do not care. In addition, oh, by the way, I have noticed that sometimes it's spelled "Koran" and other times "Quran." Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and ---- you guessed it - - I don't care ! ! ! ! !

  5. The National Popular vote bill has been going through the states. Each state much vote on following it. The bill will guarantees the Presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes in the entire United States. The bill preserves the Electoral College, while ensuring that every vote in every state will matter in every presidential election. So far the states that have passed the bill are New York, Rhode Island, Hawaii, California, Massachusetts , Washington DC, New Jersey, Illinoios , Washington State, Vermont, Oklahoma, Wisconson and Oregon. It has passed the State Assemblies and is up for the vote in the State Senates in Ohio, Florida, Iowa, Tennessee, Arizona and Virginia. It will even up the swing states, battle ground states with the balance of the states.
  6. People would not be so bitter to the E/C if they showed integrity and followed the rules. Most of these state laws generally assert that an elector shall cast his or her vote for the candidates who won a majority of the state's popular vote or for the candidate of the party that nominated the elector. Over the years, however, despite legal oversight, a number of electors have violated their state's law binding them to their pledged vote. However, these violators often only face being charged with a misdemeanor or a small fine, usually $1,000. Many constitutional scholars agree that electors remain free agents despite state laws and that, if challenged, such laws would be ruled unconstitutional. Therefore, electors can decline to cast their vote for a specific candidate (the one that wins the popular vote of their state), either voting for an alternative candidate, or abstaining completely. In fact, in the 2000 election, Barbara Lett-Simmons, an elector for the District of Columbia, cast a blank ballot for president and vice president in protest of the District's unfair voting rights. When it comes down to it, electors are ultimately free to vote for whom they prersonally prefer, despite the general public's desire. This inconsistency allows for discrepancies in our electoral system. The electors from more then half of the states can vote however they wish, regardless of the popular will of the state. In the founding of our nation, the Electoral College was established to prevent the people from making "uneducated" decisions. The founders feared uneducated public opinion and designed the Electoral College as a layer of insulation from the direct voice of the masses. There is no reason, in this modern day, to assign this responsibility to a set of individual electors. Hundreds of thousands of votes can and have been violated by an individual elector, choosing to act on his or her own behalf instead of the behalf of the people. In the 2008 election, 51 electors did not cast their votes for the candidates who they were designated to represent by the popular vote. FIX IT.

  8. Ferguson Rioters Chant Something Scary After Cops Shoot Close Friend of Michael Brown Washington Post op-ed| Michael Brown’s death was tragic whether you believe that he was a criminal or not. To have Michael Brown’s friend shot by police seems ironic in a tragic way. But that’s exactly what happened. Tyrone Harris, Jr., whose father said he was “real close” to Michael Brown, was shot by Ferguson police after opening fire on police (bad idea). Of course, Harris’s father thinks the police aren’t telling everything, just as Browns family does. Now, who they’re going to war against doesn’t seem to be clear except that the police are included. It’s this kind of blind emotion with no reason to direct it that got Obama elected on “change.” Strong emotion with no thinking: a fundamental liberal problem that is rampant in America today. See the Unfortunately, Ferguson residents decided to do a repeat of their reaction to Brown’s death by demonstrating and looting and chanting such encouraging and life-affirming words such as “We ready for what? We ready for war!”
  9. Whats the pressure with fresh oil and filter? I'd do that first before you assume there trouble. Paul
  10. We worked as monitors at the polls for the last election, something I never did before. We know many of the people who voted and know for a fact they did not vote for Obama. When the votes were announced the turn out for Obama was not what was true. We had 100% voting for him. The head of the election board simply stated that the "computers don't lie". On polling place in Glen Cove where a friend worked has a 115% turn out for Obama. Never knew you could have more than a 100% of the people vote! Until the Electoral College is eliminated the vote is just a feel good thing for the masses. The past election was a fraud and so will this one coming, especially with the changes that were made to the Electoral College by this Administration. Paul
  11. Are they digital gauges?
  12. It is transparent!! Most of us can see through all his crap.
  13. I'd bet the current Attorney General Loretta Lynch will give her a pass on it until after the election. . . Paul
  14. Things always seem bigger in the Northeast.
  15. Run it off a can and see what it does. Still thinking Ignition though. Paul
  16. If it runs the same 6 volt system as my 1947 Ferguson, the coil has an internal resistor the fails hot under load. Really going bad you'll see te oil from the coil in the coil wire tower.
  17. Look to the coil.
  18. This is the President, Facts are less important than half truths... the media wlll push it long enough that most of the great unread will accept it as truth. Remember the 12.7% that he caters to take his words as gospel.
  19. The President mentioned in a resent "chat" in Detroit that "a cop murders(!) a black person every 28 hours and wounds one every 3 hours" . There is a non inflammatory, calming, helpful statement for the man in charge of the ENTIRE country. So under his and the DOJ rules, Police cannot do these things Cannot arrest illegals for crimes. Cannot ask for proof of being legally allowed here. Cannot racial profile Criminals or Middle Easterners. Cannot return fire when shot or threatened with bodily harm. I guess only White, Christian, Working people can be targeted in his and the DOJ's eyes.
  20. Never left the East coast and never got enough wins to get beyond the Spring Nats. Only really consistent thing I had was at least once a month having a lean out and losing the blower. Marino's Italian Ices sponsored us with some money, Muscle Cars Speed Shops for gaskets, plugs, tires and oil and Jack Merkel for machine work. Under funded and under powered but had a ball doing it.
  21. Poor Bill, wouldn't be anything left but a few pieces of gnawed on bone
  22. Don't forget FDR.
  23. We primarily ran East Coast at Memphis Dragway, Rockingham Speedway, NY National Speedway and Bristle Tenn at the Spring Nationals. When the AHRA started to fold up in 1973 the car was parked in my barn. It really wasn't competitive with a 392 against the new gen 426 and the Keith Black staring to show up. Kept the 392 and the Vitar Clutch-Flite and about 3 years ago donated the body and chassis to Don Garlits for his Museum. The car had an early Buttera/Kirby chassis and a Fiberglass Trends body. My Super Stock Challenger and Super Stock Duster I ran at the same time were sold last year in as raced condition after they were parked in the early 80's. Aside from the '55 Chevy all I have saved for my racing days is my Kelson Avenger. Started to redo and kind of side lined it. Paul
  24. Hope you all have a really great birthday! Paul
  25. I usually run a tap through them to clear the threads too. Paul
