  1. Not a Shame.It's a CRIME!!
  2. That is the most perfect hood I have ever seen!! It almost looks too perfect! Paul
  3. But I'll now sue the trailer manufacturer, the tire company, the Hitch manufacturer, the sales man, the installer and a state for unsafe road surfaces . . .
  4. Like the "square" shocks
  5. They have factories in Brazil and Argentina but don't know if they build class 8 units there. Since VW owns just under half of Scania maybe V Dubs factories in Mexico or a new one in the U.S. for a dual line production.
  6. 7 1/4 Inch id here http://www.ebay.com/itm/Baby-Moons-Hubcaps-for-OEM-Wheels-1949-1953-Chevrolet-Car-Set-of-5-I-D-7-1-4-/321548345139 If you can't find a set on here, try a camper / boat trailer shop, some vintage trailers had 12 or 13 inch wheels, or try Tow Car supplier. Ran small moons on the Dolly Wheels.
  7. Much as pop will comeback and boot me in the arse, I like the CBX and Goldwing.
  8. Came out very nice!! Got any pics with the Vets in it? Paul
  9. Nice photos Mike!! Always amazed that the units sit for years and years and the tires air up! Paul
  10. Can't say if the seal is available but if you get rubber you can use 3M Weather Strip / Trim adhesive #08011 for Black or #08008 for 3M Super Weather Strip Adhesive
  11. Not a fan of them Honders, Yamommahas, Sucsushis or Quackasakis but an entire dealership with stock in IOWA is up for auction. Opened in 1965 closed in the 80's, repair shop was open til 2000's. Neat stuff. Bikes,NOS parts, tractors and cars. http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2015/07/24/greenfield-honda-auction-is-a-time-capsule-back-to-motorcycling-in-the-1980s/?refer=news http://www.vanderbrinkauctions.com/auctions_pictures.php?detail=171 http://www.vanderbrinkauctions.com/auctions_details.php?detail=171&allimages=NO
  12. DEMO VOTES !!
  13. Wonder if it's not fuel but, clutch chatter from weak or broken spring on the disk(s).
  14. If it was military based purchase the Cummins makes sense from a maintenance point of view. They used a ton of Cummins and Studebaker Multi Fuel engines. I'll see it at the Labor Day show and get more info on it.
  15. Probably the 90 degree corners in the square headlight light bucket holes. Less stress on the rounded headlight bucket holes. No sharp corner stress points.
  16. Be sure if you do it or have a shop do the fiberglass that is a commercial marine grade cloth, mat and resin that is used. Much stronger than the typical automotive fiberglass products. Takes more flex and shock the typical "corvette type" fiberglass. Paul
  17. Hell! when you figure the number of my hours I put in a "normal" week neither do I !!
  18. Thanks for posting!! Hope the biker gets where he was heading. You can see the air in the bald rear tire!!
  19. I know most were 3 or 4 cylinder Detroit, this one has a Cummins 4, I assume it's a B series 3.3 or 3.9. It could be OEM or a swap I'll find out at the new show it's at. Paul
  20. I never saw fast food joints as a career job, high school, college, retiree's, people who need a little extra cash and handicapped not a place to retire from in 30 years. A friend had a machine shop in New Castle. Did Military Aircraft small parts for Grumman and Fairchild-Republic. The Federal agency that enforces the EOE laws, with out looking at his workers, told him the he needed 12% of his employees to be Black, the balance could be any race. He stood up went out to the machine floor and told 18 of his 21 employees they were all fired. Because of this man here, says that the other 82% of my employees can't be Black. The EOE guy left and never came back. As for the computerized places there is a Mac Donalds on Queens Blvd that is all computerized and robotic cooks / assemblers. Three people per shift, a sales associate for the thing that takes your Credit card, Debit card or Cash (like Home Depot), one to put orders out the drive in and load the robots with supplies and one other associate to clean up and dump trash. A KFC in Wyandanch on Malcom X Blvd that's pretty much the same way. Me and fast food, since Arby's, Roy Rogers and Long John Silvers left Long Island it's Popeye's once in a great while.
  21. Governor Cumo of NYS is raising the minimum wage for only fast food workers to $15.00 an hour. Not for the rest of the minimum wage workers, only Fast Food Workers. His requirements are the company needs 30 or more stores and must have take out or dine in service. Cumo's definition is food and drinks served at counters where customers pay before eating and can take their food with them if they choose. The other minimum wage people he suggested to unionize and go on strike for higher wages. In NYC Mayor Di Blaisi wants Fast Food minimum wage to be $16.20 because "the five borough's cost more to live in". Ms. Janowski manages 34 Mac Donalds in the NY Metro Area said by telephone interviewfrom her office “What I envision happening is cutting labor through computer ordering, hiring less people, having less people per shift. It really is going to come operating with less people and more computers and automation”
  22. Let them work, just come in through the front door legally. Try to become a citizen like tens of thousands did before and are trying to do now. As for politically correct names, I had a "radical" Black guy apply for a job. Tried to get me to use the N word by calling me a cracker and a honky. I simply asked him why would race enter the interview? I can see you're colored. After he took offence for the word and wanted to know why I chose to use it. I asked him if he was a member of the NAACP? told me he was. My next question was why if the NAACP uses it can't I? I could have gone off since my grandma and grandpa were both Knights of the Cross members in the 20's and 30's, but I was raised to judge a person by their values, morals and how they act, not by color or race. Paul
  23. Welcome! We like photos here.
  24. Linkage and locations between the AC 6 and your engine are different, but the components used are the same. This is what the AC 6 has. An AK series may have the same set up. (I don't have an AK . . .yet) Best I can do is give you an idea of what and how it works. From what I gather the parts are interchangeable. Paul click pic
