  2. SSSSH! everybody whose my guest, has to carry 2 pieces out under their shirts
  3. Two B-85 were Aerial Ladders. One open cab with a 75 foot ladder and one with a 65 foot cab unknown. So that could be it. Also Rockville Maryland ran the extra lights in the headlight panels and the pair of red lensed Perlux style lights under the bumper on all their trucks until the mid 70's. That seems to be particular to that department.
  4. No MACK's but than again we are to smart to sell them.

  9. With this generations addiction to Electronics (texting and such) I have my reservations. At least in the NY Metro area.
  10. In many points of his presidency Jimmy Carter got a bad rap and in other areas, he was just plain naive about the world of politics. I would think mainly because he didn't "owe" anybody in DC.
  11. один кусок в то время hope it is correct!
  12. It will end up making allies of Israel and Saudi Arabia. As of today oil dropped to $50 a barrel.
  13. Nice Tribute to the Hemi Under Glass.
  14. Interesting on the B and good to see he kept the factory drive train intact, but I see he has a lot of faith in his welds in the drag link. That would worry me.
  15. Were't they made for MACK by Red Dot? The one in my '80 R is. Says MACK on the face plate but Red Dot on all the internals. If so they should have parts for the units.
  16. If you're a veteran join the Oath Keepers, if not stock up
  17. With Irans 30 million barrels of crude ready to hit the market, GM and other auto / truck makers lining up for a new market, defense industries in the U.S and Russia both looking forward to the end of the arms embargo. Investors looking at the BILLIONS of dollars the is soon to flood Iran. You can be sure the the White House and most of our Senate and Congress with listen to the lobbyists and back the Treaty. Of course it will be after a large dog and pony show for the public, so they can say " we tried to stop the treaty". The 6 training military camps that Iran has in Central America, the Americans held captive by Iran, the "drone" and the Iranian funding terrorist groups were not addressed because the White House said "they are not part of the nuclear negotiations". I would damn well include them ! But lacking Kerry's vast military and diplomatic experience (according to the media and the White House) my opinion would hold no water over Swift Boat Kerry . . . .
  18. Once again the DOD is talking about scrapping the A-10 Warthog to cut the F-35 cost over runs. Congress saved the A-10 in 2014 and it is feared by mid eastern terrorist groups for it firepower and loiter time. The DOD and White House feel the multi roll F-35 can do the same missions as the A-10. Only a few aircraft used in those roles strike the same fear and devastation as the A-10. The Stuka with 37 mm canons for tank busting, C-47 Spooky's, AC135 and the OV-10. But since our current administration feels that all we need is dialog, understanding and to provide jobs for our enemies what should you expect?
  19. Said in his speech this morning two things that show his arrogance and lack of knowledge. 1- "it's open to a rousing debate, but I will veto any changes" so just come out and say it is passed. 2- Said John Keary always"acted in a patriotic manner, from putting on a uniform and going to war (and coming home highly decorated to spending 40 days working out this deal" . Here is a slice of opinions on the deal. . . Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton: "I think we have to look at this seriously, evaluate it carefully, but I believe based on what I know now, this is an important step," she said. "There will be a number of issues that have to be addressed. I want to just mention, too, the first is enforcement. This agreement will have to be enforced vigorously, relentlessly. ... This does put a lid on the nuclear program, but we still have a lot of concern about the bad behavior and the actions by Iran, which remains the largest state sponsor of terrorism," Clinton said. "Having been part of building the coalition that brought us to the point of this agreement, I think we will have to immediately, upon completion of this agreement and its rigorous enforcement, look to see how we build a coalition to try to prevent and undermine Iran's bad behaviors in other arenas." New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie ®: "After two years of humiliating concessions by President Obama, he has made his deal with Iran. He should have walked away. Iran joins the sad list of countries where America’s red lines have been crossed. The president is playing a dangerous game with our national security, and the deal as structured will lead to a nuclear Iran and, then, a nuclearized Middle East." Florida Sen. Marco Rubio ®: “Based on what we know thus far, I believe that this deal undermines our national security. President Obama has consistently negotiated from a position of weakness, giving concession after concession to a regime that has American blood on its hands, holds Americans hostage, and has consistently violated every agreement it ever signed.” Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee ®: “Everyone understands that once you go to a nuclear device that now you’re talking about apocalyptic-type situations. If Iran gets nuclear capacity, we’re now looking at the apocalypse because these people are crazy enough to use it, first against Israel and eventually against us.” Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal ®: “Congress should oppose this dangerous deal. Secretary Clinton should be a voice of reason and oppose this deal. While Secretary Clinton has been the architect of President Obama’s foreign policy, she can do the right thing and prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and oppose this deal.” Former HP exec Carly Fiorina ®: "Iran has demonstrated bad behavior for 30 years. We know they have been trying to cheat on this deal. We know they have been funding proxies with a strategic objective of destabilizing the region. We know that when sanctions are lifted, they’ll have more money to fund those same proxies." Former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb (D): “This is an important moment in terms of the future of American foreign policy. I look forward to reading and examining the agreement.” Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker ®: “President Obama’s nuclear agreement with Iran will be remembered as one of America’s worst diplomatic failures.” South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham ®: “This could be a death sentence for the state of Israel.”
  20. And not one of the "PC" people know what the war was about. Guess the American Indians, the Tibetan Buddhists, Shinto Japanese. the Hindi's, the town named Swastika in Clinton County N.Y. (since 1913) or the Canadian town named Swastika near Kirkland Lake Ontario. Lets not forget the families of the 8000 Negro freemen who fought on the side of the C.S.A. From the state of Virginia (artillery) Louisiana Home Guards,Tennesee and Texas. Combat troops not support or servants. Or the 100 something who are members of Sons of the Confederacy.
  21. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/8295-first-mack-and-disapointed-with-power-suggestions/ Read ball of MACKPRO68 's posts. Tell you what you need to know.
  22. Just before my charcoal lighter fluid exploded lit off. Hope the town Drone caught it.
  23. THIS was a mid 5 second run . . . by Garlits . . . . .backwards
  24. The Swamp Rat was posed on the flight deck next to an F-14 for the 1975 Hot Rod cover shot with Smoke Bomb Smoke and air brushing to look like a burn out. Also photos of Garlits "racing" a F-8 on his tour of Vietnam in 1972 on the Lexington. He did run against a FA-18 in the 1987 with his turbine exhibition dragster and Tom McEwen ran his Duster funny car against an F-14 at the Naval Air Test Center in Pawtuxent River Maryland in 1975
