Do you think there would be funding there if the Federal, State, Local Governments, the EPA, "grass roots" environmental groups and NIMBY's would cut back on the permitting process from multiple agencies for the same permits, demanding environmental impact studies, traffic and noise studies, impact on the elusive popoo fly? Again done from multiple private and public agencies and hiring lawyers to sue over all of the above. Just look at the B\S.F. Bay Area Bridge. . . Politics, and NIMBY's were the driving force behind the seven years and over $1 million in studies. . .just to agree to replace the bridge! Five years for the Federal, State and City to do the impact studies to the tune of $12 million and 2 years and an additional $700,000 to select design proposals. Do you think the fund would also be intact if there weren't IOU's for "borrowing" from it (like Social Security) ?

Chicago Tribune reports: President Barack Obama and Gina McCarthy at the Environmental Protection Agency are going to impose new ozone rules so low that they would effectively end July Fourth and summer as we know it. The proposal will lower the ozone standard from 75 parts per billion to 65 parts per billion, which would be a level just “barely above the naturally occurring level of ozone in the atmosphere.” When signed in to law, the regulation would basically make it a Federal Violation for families to grill outdoors or for cities to launch festive fireworks. This means local legislators would need to enact municipal grilling bans and cancel traditional fireworks shows. Many regions across the country have yet to catch up to the EPA’s most recent ruling seven years ago on wood, coal and pellet stoves. These regions are still violating existing regulations, and the proposal would do nothing more than increase the fines and penalties that they must pay. The tragic irony was that our air was already the cleanest it’s been in 30 years and “air quality in the U.S. continues to improve annually.” Furthermore, ozone levels were slated to drop another 36 percent by 2025. The EPA said these are "false" readings, and require more testing and study. In fact, according to the National Association of Manufacturers, the proposal would wind up costing us $140 billion annually. It would also “stall construction projects and prevent job-creating manufacturing facilities from being built in hundreds of cities across the United States.” Both the President and the EPA state this is a "problem of global proportions and the United States is obligated to lead the world away from the brink of human extinction"

And most of the main stream media is saying Gowdy has a vendeta against her because . . .Drum roll...... "she's a powerful and successful woman who is going to be President" I watch BBC or as it's called Radio Free England, their general opinion is "she is a corrupt and criminal politician and lord help everyone in the free world if she wins the American Office of President" -

You do not like King Andrew? He eliminated our Public Utility Company and replaced it with PSEG. Privately owned with stock holders. (He and his girl friend own a few large blocs of stock in it.) -

Not much different than Ford and GM Factories (Opel) in Germany going to full War Production in 1938 for Germany and Allies. All while resisting going to a limited war production in North America. -
Made in Missouri, mostly mine and ultra heavy dumps. There is one one display in Mineral Kansas and one on display near Silver City Nevada. Pretty advanced for the early 50's too. This is a 1953 DART Mine/ pit truck. PHOTO ONE CREDITED TO ROBERT LaFRENIERE from HANKS TRUCK SITE

Administration Maintaining Focus on GHGs, EPA Chief Gina McCarthy Says

AAH but she does!! She smart enough to have a limo, security, a jet on beck and call, almost unlimited power to punish the serfs for lighting a wooden match. How many people has the president appointed to key posts are qualified for their job? Aside from the White House press secretary not one. -

Or being fired during the Nixon Impeachment for being a liar, disregarding the Constitution and lack of ethics. Some things never change. -
A side-by-side comparison redone in 2014 with an F/A-18, a top fuel dragster, a rocket sled, and some other machine I can't remember. I think it was on Speed or Hot Rod TV, I'm not sure. The results showed the dragster ahead in the for the full 1000 foot track. The enormous torque from the engine to wheels, combined with the gripping power of those tires on the pavement is what gives the dragster the advantage in the beginning. Second in line was the rocket sled in the 1000 foot track. But the g-force acceleration was enough to be dangerous to a human (it was unmanned in the test)...which is around 9 to 10 gs. The F/A-18 was last. The F/A-18 took off under normal power, not assisted by a catapult. With a catapult, the jet would win hands down.

I would see it run, look at the oil pressure when both hot and on start up. After shut down when hot pull the dip stick and see if there is any metallic particles in it. It's a crap shot though. IMO Kind of hard to tell with out pulling a rocker cover on the high side of the roll over and drain plug to look for metal or galling.

One top fuel dragster 500 cubic inch Hemi engine with only 6.5 to 1 compression makes more horsepower than the first 5 rows of stock cars at the Daytona 500. It takes just 12/100ths of a second for all 6,000+ horsepower of an NHRA Top Fuel dragster engine to reach the rear wheels. Under full throttle, a dragster engine consumes 1-1/2 gallons of nitro methane per second; a fully loaded 747 consumes jet fuel at the same rate with 25% less energy being produced. A stock Dodge Hell Cat Hemi V8 engine cannot produce enough power to drive the dragster's supercharger. With 3,800 CFM of air being rammed in by the supercharger on overdrive, the fuel mixture is compressed into a near-solid form before ignition. Cylinders run on the verge of hydraulic lock at full throttle. At the stoichiometric (stoichiometry: methodology and technology by which quantities of reactants and products in chemical reactions are determined) 1...7:1 air/fuel mixture of nitro methane, the flame front temperature measures 7,050 deg F. Nitro methane burns yellow.. The spectacular white flame seen above the stacks at night is raw burning hydrogen, dissociated from atmospheric water vapor by the searing exhaust gases. At full RPM the exhaust put 1100 foot pounds of down force on the rear tires. The white flame seen at night is the exhaust burning the hydrogen in the air. Dual magnetos supply 55,000 volt - 44 amps to each spark plug. This is the output of an arc welder in each cylinder. Spark plug electrodes are totally consumed during a pass. After halfway, the engine is dieseling from compression, plus the glow of exhaust valves at 1,400 deg F. The engine can only be shut down by cutting the fuel flow. If spark momentarily fails early in the run, unburned nitro builds up in the affected cylinders and then explodes with sufficient force to blow cylinder heads off the block in pieces or split the block in half. In order to exceed 330 mph in 3.7 seconds, dragsters must accelerate an average of over 5G's. In order to reach 200 mph (well before the 500 foot half-track), the launch acceleration approaches 8G's. Dragsters reach over 300 miles per hour before you have completed reading this sentence. Top fuel engines run 170 psi of oil pressure at full throttle. Fuels pumps (TWO) put out 100 GPM each supplying 16 injectors. The redline is actually quite high at 9,500 rpm. Assuming all the equipment is paid off, the crew worked for free, and for once NOTHING BLOWS UP, each run costs an estimate $2,000.00 per second. The current top fuel dragster elapsed time record is 3.701 seconds @ 328.30 mph for the 1000 foot track. For the Quarter mile the ET is 3.728 seconds @336.15 mph as measured over the last 66' of the run on both length tracks. Putting all of this into perspective: You are driving the average $114,000 2014 Corvette ZR-1 . Over a mile up the road, a top fuel dragster is staged and ready to launch down a quarter mile strip as you pass. You have the advantage of a flying start. You run the 'Vette hard up through the gears and blast across the starting line and pass the dragster at an honest 205 mph. The 'tree' goes green for both of you at that moment. The dragster launches and starts after you. You keep your foot down hard, but you hear an incredibly brutal whine that sears your eardrums and within 2.3 seconds, the dragster catches and passes you. He beats you to the finish line, a 1000 feet away from where you just passed him. Think about it, from a standing start, the dragster had spotted you 205 mph and not only caught, but nearly blasted you off the road when he passed you within a mere 500 feet of a 1,000 foot long race course. TRY THAT in your PRIUS

People here are stupid when it comes to any farm animal that's not a cow or horse. The neighbor has a dozen ir so goats. A local grade school teacher brings the class to see his goats. He see her handing out empty cans to the kids. When he asked the teacher why, she told him they saved them up to feed them to the goats. "They eat tin cans in the cartoons, so we brought them a snack" she said! -

Third time! Time before this was a shop in Sag harbor that specializes in Irish China and Crystal. I have a twelve place Diner set and a 6 place Tea Set from Arklow in the original packing, never out of the crates from 1960 still in wood shavings and linen. Woman says they are not worth more than pennies. Had a cup, saucer and scone plate for $125. Same pattern as mine. Figure they watched to much American Pickers or something. Maybe it's the water? air? or fast food?
