  1. Took my Stock 1941 Chevy Cabriolet on a 6800 mile trip from L.I. to Chicago to Rte 66 to Cali and back. Came home most of the way on 40. We also took my 1951 Victoria flattie powered 50's custom to Fords 100th anniversery in Dearborn. We had two vacations of a life time! Thats what they were built to do run the roads. We aksed an other couple to take their 1941 Olds on Rte 66. . . We got the "what if this happens blues" If it gets chipped...touch it up, smacked up...redo it, breaks down...fix it no matter what happens it is still woth it. I have a friend who has the Macy's Easter Parade Nash Metropolitan. In is kept on a climated controlled "garage" they sit in it and watch movies in a drive in themed set up. Never use it! What a waste. This was for the Hemmings article only time in 5 years it was out side..
  2. Crocks Custom Trucks is owned by Brandon Crock, 17990 SR 78 CALDWELL,OH 43724 Brandon, Ed and Ryan Crock. These were at York too. click pics
  3. Since the cab was fiberglass, I wonder if GM modified or recabbed it as the Titan III.
  4. The Dubl-duti stand and drive was out sourced from DIVCO most times with the delivery body from the cowl back. DIVCO also did the stand and drive for Twin Coach route buses. Paul
  5. I see in the article that Italy is threatening to give the illegals Visa's so they can enter the EU. Italy is run by Obammamama too?
  6. Are you using logic and common sense with the government? I thought they were immune to logical and benifical input.
  7. Consoidering the rarity that's cheap, when you have Corvettes, Cobras, Camaros,Chevelles,Mopars and other rare but not as rare ones going from mid $800,000 to $3.5 million, make that almost affordable. IMO it's a waste if you keep it to your self or not use it once in a while. Paul
  8. No ties. http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/cars-for-sale/mack/unspecified/1749572.html?refer=news

  15. Unless the cop was a real hard azz most would pull the keys and give a ticket for open can or tell you to call some one. Paul
  16. Wood cribbing off the tail of the trailer and the bucket to stabilize it most likely. Looking at the primary sprocket road speed probably 10 to 15 mph on Cobble stone streets with solid tires. One thing is they didn't know it wasn't able to be done . . . 47.5 short tons on a 28 ton trailer!!!
  17. The last on in the first group of photos has some really nicely done sheet metal work. Cut down fenders, grill and the bottom hood edges. Almost don't notice it. Paul
  18. New York you behind the wheel keys or no keys your gone.
  19. You can start with the schools (every body is a winner) move on to Department of Labors discrimination laws ( racial quotas) , on to the employers and employees, wirth more blame on the employees, I feel. Service jobs in Fast food stores, Wal-mart, K- mart and such were NEVER intended to be careers. Kids in high school for a first job, college kids and retiree's for extra cash, or a part time second job maybe, but they were never geared to supporting a family, buying a house or places to retire from after 20 years. They were always for the people I mentioned above for extra cash or getting work experience. Maybe the people who want more money, a pension and other benefits should go to get educated, learn a trade or a get an entry job in a trade as a carpenters helper, a helper at a dealership or something. Work at it,ask questions, looks and learn and speak the same language as the country you live in. A $10 most places, $12.50 in NY, $ in NYC14 or as California wants $15 an hour minimum wage to put ice in a cup, fries in a basket or a bag of socks or cookies on a shelf just doesn't cut it in my book as being worth that much.
  20. Ain't a B but impressive non the less! Shovel is 95,500 ls (43 metric tonnes) plus truck and trailer. All with 70 h.p. and a pair of "double" brakes, external rear brakes by foot pedal and an internal park brake by lever. (Bronx and Manhattan Boys) Paul
  21. These are just as guilty too. Other large retail chains have been the focus of similar reports in recent months. In October, two studies released to coincide showed that American fast food industry outsourced a combined $7 billion in annual labor costs to taxpayers. McDonald's MCD -0.55% alone accounted for $1.2 billion of that outlay. Yum Brands came in at a distant number two, with its Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and KFC subsidiaries costing $648 million in benefits programs for workers each year. A companion report released by the National Employment Law Project found that the 10 biggest fast food corporations in the country are responsible for nearly 60%, or $3.8 billion, of the annual $7 billion outlaid by the taxpayer for low-wage workers. These same 10 companies made a cumulative $7.7 billion in profits in 2012, paying out an additional $7.4 billion in dividends and buybacks to shareholders.
  22. I know the one you want. I have only one with the power unit. I'll ask around at the next L.I. Antique Power Equipment meeting, there's a few collectors there who have parts.
