  1. Belt could also be "glazed" from slipping on top of anything else. I'd personally put new belts on just for G.P. Paul
  2. Gabrielli MACKs old time parts man stated that Mack P/N is a current and valid number. Said Westfall O'Dell MACK Truck Sales on Randolph Road in K.C. Mo will be able to get it no problem if the kid isn't lazy. It shows it as non rubber welting. 2RU139F - Anti Squeak Hood Insulator for Haywood production RW series only. He did not see it superceded by Volvo Global Numerical number. . . at least to his knowledge.
  3. Yes. I only spent an arm for it too but the gentleman through in a pair of early 50's Tootsie Toy 1/43 MACK L model tractors with a tanker trailer and a flatbed for gratis.
  4. Oh! Tweens and Taints
  5. The foam is fire resistant if you go commercial residential grade. Hate TV except the history channel.
  6. Take photos the middle of the week. If it has a magnet it may have powered the lights off that. Probably has / had a cut out switch. Paul
  7. Glad it went to a good home. I've thought about selling my '88 but it's comfortable like an old pair of shoes.
  8. My shop on L.I. all the air lines are Parker Transair. Aluminum. rates at 230 psi @ -4 to + 115 F and only up to 190 psi at 140 F. I'll use them in Va also. PEX style fittings or compression clamps, flex line to do corners and not major event to install. Made for industrial applications with air, chemical, inert gas or oils. Accepted under the Uniform Building Code too. Paul http://www.hoseandfittingsetc.com/product-overview/piping-systems/air-pipe-systems/rigid-aluminum-pipe
  9. I have in Virginia, a set of brass Grey and Davis lights from around 1919 or 1920 with the brass cradle brackets. The lens is 12 inches and the out side of the rim is another inch. main body is cup shaped. Screw latches, hinges and internals a in good condition and just need a touch of Brasso to shine up. I also have the Acetylene Generator unit (also brass) and brackets for the lights. No Copper lines though. The lights work, I ran propane through them. They lit and adjusted up, down and off. I'll snap a few pics when I go to Va on tuesday if you're interested. The early plate I assume ? First Bull Dog Use on AB Name Plate 1921. AB AC Reproductions LTD Some one was doing limited reproductions I can't lay my hands on the file right now. Paul
  10. When I asked the seller for a clear photo of it, the only good place the guy had to show the condition was a demo coffin in his funeral parlor. Paul
  11. Probably a Smith-Miller MACK with the aluminum P.I.E. trailer. Look like this one? yeah the truck is in a coffin..... click pic
  12. Nice photos including the pterodactyls!! What is a pride parade? LIONS?
  13. They should spend half of the money on targeting cars that cut off, slow down suddenly or refuse to give an inch to trucks too. That would be a sensable safety investment also. Paul
  14. Bathroom w/shower is a good idea! The one thing in my new shop the is mandatory for me, is a hard piped Fire Sprinkler System and Smoke and Heat detectors. too much of an investment to not protect and makes a difference with insurance too.
  15. Wow a Type Writer! Haven't heard that word in 25 years I had one some place. Probably with my Tandy Word Processor.
  16. If kscarbel2 doesn't come up with a P/N I'll be at Gabrielli MACK tomorrow morning picking up paint. I'll bring your # with me. The Saturday parts man is an old timer from Mineola MACK days and has most older P/Ns in his head. Paul
  17. Was the power curve the same before the ReMACK? What final gears are in it? That will cause it to be doggy. Highway and Vocational gearing is different
  18. My old shop I had low RPM ceiling fans to move the heat down from the ceiling. I will be using spray foam insulation and an insulated slab in the Va. shop, additional lighting (each pair on a switch) 10 feet up on the wall will be installed also. Makes a great difference when needed. I have been looking at Quartz type heating. The quartz heats things not the air. A friend had it installed in his tire shop, even with the doors open in the winter your warm. Power wise, I need 240 3 phase for my machine shop equipment and my large welder. A diesel back up power unit in also mandatory for me for both house and shop when built.
  19. The problem as I see it is that the Elected do not think and do not have a lot of real world experience. We have people here passing laws who have never done what they are regulating, are using their bias to pass rules or looking at financial gain. We have here in Suffolk the local governments view that anything not white collar is in need of regulation or elimination. If it impedes the travel, causes them to have to think or upsets their image of what the the area should look like. . . it is fair game for regulation. Trucks are annoying, farms are dirty. What we need are more Uni-corns and rainbows....pass a new law requiring more!
  20. Call him .
  21. I didn't think so. The Phone number is in the Visiting Fireman link I gave to SMF. Paul http://general.visitingfireman.com/vf_listings.php?operation=view&pk0=1385
  22. Mayor of Nagasaki "what was the flash?" Captain of the Titanic "where's the come ice from?" Schneider driver "Rock? What rock?"
  23. So the mid size sales go to GM, Toyota, Nissan and Honda...
