  1. He does mine too! He even organizes it that way when it was mostly moved to Virginia!
  2. Glenns right it is not an Accumulator. I forgot about Cummins developing a mechanical timing set up. They were mechanical using a fuel pressure to work and air switch. air on an eccentric arm on the cam followers that retarded valve and injector timing by using higher fuel pressure as a trigger. Cummins used it on a few engines back when. I recall seeing one in a Autocar a long while ago. No Accumulator!!!
  3. Good thing to have now days. Paul
  4. The analogs still have a module and drive that the dip switches program. I've seen the odometers spin when stopped adding 50 or more miles at at rest. Ain't electronics grand?
  5. It looks like an Accumulator. It pre lubes or pre and post lubes the engine before start up and the turbo after engine shut down. Can't really tell from pic though if it has and electric solenoid on it. It appears it does on the lower right in photo. That's wired to the run side of the key switch. One start up the solenoid opens and a couple of quarts of oil pre lube the engine. When the engine starts and runs the Accumulator is refilled. On shut off the solenoid closed with the accumulaor filled and under a few PSI. I run an similar set up on my Marmon and race car. Paul
  6. I was taught the same thing. You get a wage, you get the same pay whether doing what "your job title" is, or picking up crap. Too proud to do it? than you can sit tall and proud in the seat for your unemployed ride home.
  7. The Speedometer, Odometer and Trip Odometer all get their info from the speed sensor. If the Speedometer works and the rest don't, than more than likely the Odometer/Trip Odometer module in the gauge is bad. Thats the way the system works in most
  8. I know it's not required for a CDL or even a regular license, but if they work for me they better know sh*t from shinola. I don't expect them to be a mechanic but at least have common sense. Paul
  9. I always thought that one of the basic requirements for any driver shoulld be to know the basics on how your vehicle systems work, but like Home Depot getting sued (and losing) because of a job requirement to be able to do 4 basic math problems with a calculator !
  10. http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/carsforsale/mack/unspecified/1732449.html
  11. While you're at the mall for the sales, watching a sports event, having a bar b que or just hanging out. Remember during the weekend this is why you are able to do those things. click me
  12. Like to get the tire traction sanders off the flatbed to put on my mixer. He has some nice stuff for sale. Paul
  13. Here is a photo of the 1966 Cracker box Jimmy when it was a tractor. Shame what it's up for.
  14. Beautiful truck! I agree with General Ike. The new trucks are loaded with technology, but just don't have the individual personalities and the ability to move you back in time like a vintage rig. Paul.
  15. Cool numbers!!!
  16. Probably revenge of the adult friend finder
  17. I learned you never shoot a mini superball in a small basement with a Wham-o sling shot.
  18. 2015 less 1965 = 50. didn't you take ciphering in school? Production stopped from 1942 to late 1945, we never went on a War Economy since. The 1950's, 1960's and early 1970's was a toy boon for kids.
  19. Having the same problem yesterday and a little less to day from laptop and a friend PC. Paul
  20. 2006 and up Renault 12-220 or 12-280 7.5 ton medium truck. Nothing to do with MACK but the letters. Paul click me
  21. Very nice. Rhino Liner! What a great idea. The power draw on new vehicles is way beyond our systems now. You're going to see 24 and 36 volt systems in a few years to keep up with lighting, computer controls, satellite systems, entertainment /com systems and all the new drive by wire controls. Paul
  22. Guns, sticks our finger to go pow pow pow. Dirt clods for bombs and grenades, about 10 or 11 we all graduated to bb gun fights. Cuts, scrapes, bruises, knots on the head? Go whining to mom and you'll get worse when pop got home for being a cry baby. Now one of my yuppie grand kids goes out to bike ride with elbow and knee pads, gloves, a helmet, safety goggles and hearing protection. Bike has enough reflectors and lights to make a Chicken Lights on a truck look plain.
