  1. Welcome!! Paul
  2. Not just any Colander of Truth BUT THE RON POPIELL Colander of Truth for only 4 easy payments of $129.99
  3. It was in the section with gag gifts BUT a few years ago somebody sold on e bay a chunk of Dirty N.Y.C. snow. Watched it on the news and thought that if people bought Pet Rocks why not dirty snow?
  4. Was at the Dollar Store. . .(cheap Pringles there) when a youg 30 something woman asked the clerk for Air Guitar strings. He pointed her to a specific aisle. Curiosity made me follow her for what I thought was a joke. It wasn't to the tune of $1.97 a pack. She took all but one pack! Paul
  5. The coolant temp, oil pressure and possibly the fuel level are Metric and different from our U.S. Mack Gauges. Auto Meter Gauges does have a Metric series of gauges. Paul http://performanceparts.com/performance_series/Auto_Meter_Metric_Series/1-p-a/
  6. Lizza has always had a real good relationship with NYC, Nassau and NYS. When they opened "Mount Hope" the city bent over backwards for them to get open with no NIMBY crap. When I was a kid growing up in Oyster Bay the 3 big businesses in the village was LIZZA, ZARA and Preferred Sand And Gravel and all MACKS, Autocars and Diamond T units. Set my preference in trucks for life. Paul
  7. A member of my Truck Model Forum came down from Utica to Wayne N.J. for the model show. He gave me the O.K. to post the photo link here. Nice stuff! His is the MACK Plow rig in the first photo, mostly scratch built. Paul http://public.fotki.com/Trailking120/model-contest/nnl-east-2015/
  8. So sorry! Paul
  9. I have a few photos of that NNL show if you would like to see the other trucks there. Paul
  10. That factory did RHD Conversions and Euro lighting and things, not total assembly. This conversion of the R model cabs with the F model cab back half is nice. Bet they would have sold here fairly well. I don't remember if they were from South America or Europe.
  11. Mack joined with the French company Bernard and supplied engines for some of the Bernard truck, circa 1963/4 and start cabbing the MACK chassis with the Unic cabs (Bernards competitor) from 1965, culminating in the end of the Mack Bernard arrangement in 1966. Macks "exclusive importer", The Pamax Company of Paris was bringing in USA built R and F models around 1968 or so. Pelpel also did B model cabs. A company in called Motor Panels also did cabs for MACK and Foden. MAN also did cabs in Germany and there was a few smaller coach builders who did cabs. Paul
  12. Nice photo's How long the flag been on the hill?? Paul
  13. Удачи вам, одеваться тепло и надеть шляпу и варежки !
  14. Never heard of them, they do not seem to be represented out side of Asia except for trade shows. How much do the cost each? I bought some good tires from Miller Tires in Ohio. http://www.millertire.com/
  15. I believe MACK sent them over a KDA's and the French and Belgians did the final assemblies to Euro specs and even did a few with European style cabs. MACK did the same in the Mid East. There was a MACK factory in England with a gorilla instead of a Bulldog and had absolutely no ties with MACK AT ALL.
  16. There was also Autocar Blue Streak engines a 447 c.i. @ 116 h.p. and a 501 c.i. @ 127 h.p. I don't know if the Blue Streaks were Autocar branded Hercules engines or their own product. Paul
  17. Said the Pontiac lovers. It's all about the money in the end, not product or customer loyalty in most of todays corporate world. Paul
  18. Zara and LIZZA on Long Island both ran a bunch of them in the early 70's.
  19. It is an Autocar model U made from 1936 to 1952. These pair were at the KEMP auction, I quit bidding when the other people had "auction fever". Glat it's to far away in Michigan..
  20. Whats the Autocar? Any photos? Paul
  21. Wow! This is the second Atckinson I seen today. A friend sent me a pic of the first truck he drove for Gascoyne Trading from Perth to Kunnanura . Paul
  22. Now Bob, that would be plain old raciest! The The flying monkeys from the Silverback Society would swoop down and poke my eyes out!!
