  1. So, we have a a new law to limit speed to 62.5 m.p.h. , so it will take longer to do the load, a law limiting hours ( which works well with going slower) so shipping will cost more, products will retail for more and drivers doing few loads because of said laws, will make less money. With the proposed increase in the Federal fuel tax for gas from 18.4 cents to 30.4 cents and Diesel from 24.4 cents to 38.4 cents a gallon. Most states say they will increase the furl taxes also by 10 to 12 cents a gallon. Seems like a typical one for "we're the government we are here to help". Paul

  8. Apparently the VA in Northport L.I. has their own priorities for service related non life threatening problems. Could be why they gave out raises and bonuses to the upper tier management? I was told to get an advocate to help deal with them. Seems to be SOP here in N.Y.

  12. Last Feb I sold 5 of my Mopars at the Atlantic City auction, on my Challenger, there was one "gentleman" who kept upping the bid every time it lagged (good for me and the auction co) The last day of the auction he was in the office filling out commission forms. I called him Mr Shill but it was over his head. Upped the price on my Challenger by almost $15,000. Funny thing the next B.J auction in Florida, my Duster was listed as a 1 of 1 which it was, but also as numbers matching. It wasn't sold as a numbers matching in A.City. I blew up the 340 the first weekend I owned it. So it was not numbers matching car since it was 3 days old. Paul.
  13. Funny the way the law is written, if we hire an "guest worker" we do not have to provide any health insurance to them by order of the Federalies! They give us a $3000.00 bonus for hiring non Americans. Just need an Amnesty Card. "Under the ACA, employers may be required to pay penalties if their employees are eligible for tax credits to purchase health insurance through the law’s new marketplaces. But those who gain provisional legal status under Obama’s immigration plan are not eligible for health care subsidies — The White House says this will help create an incentive for employers to hire those with provisional legal status. This will help them acclimate into the U.S. work force and society ". Paul
  14. He lives in the Great Brown Land. . . nuff said.

  16. Thanks, Mr. President, for Making the Recession Longer and Harder | Obamacare. The word just screams to have scorn laid upon it for the deceptive tactics and outright lies used to get it passed. But it’s about to get worse. Obamacare is about to kick small businesses in the teeth in 2015. That’s right. Starting in March 2015 (yep, this year, folks), Obamacare is requiring companies with 100 or more employees to insure all employees working 25 or more hours a week (what are we now, France?) with Obamacare approved (i.e. more expensive) coverage or face fines of $2,000 per employee. The effect is that either these businesses will pass on the prices to consumers making everything more expensive (how’s that gonna help our economic recovery?) or they will pay the fine and then pass that expense on to consumers (sounding familiar?). Either way, we get the shaft price-wise. Oh, yeah, or these companies reduce hours and/or no longer hire as many “full-time” (since when was 25 hours full time?) workers so that they don’t have to pay for that insurance coverage. That means that you have to work two jobs, neither of which are full time, just to make ends meet, prices will be higher, and you’ll have to pay for your own high-priced insurance through an Obamacare-approved provider. As Investors Business Daily put it: “Universal health care is hardly “free,” and its costs hit both employees and customers hard. Service companies — including even garbage collectors — are passing on the added cost to customers in the form of higher bills.” Thanks, Mr. President, for just making this recession longer and worse.
