  1. I believe we went to a B B Q in 2010 or so for your fund raiser on the truck. It was at FireCraft at the time undergoing some resto work wasn't it? Paul
  2. It looks like my Diesel Gen set filter AC-TL70 assembly with an AC TL12 cartridge with a glass bowl instead of the metal bowl mine has. If it is a bronze filter unit it is washable.
  3. Add to that the inability to comprehend the American language and communicate in it. Most can't by birth or by texting shorthand.
  4. Welcome to the group. That the RW in your avatar? Paul
  5. If it a single axle why not go to a 2 speed rear to give a "highway gear" with the automatic, it would also compensate for the smaller diameter rubber. Paul
  6. Very nice unit! Haven't seen those wheels in a while either. Paul
  7. U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) for the port you will be using. See our pages for your specific port to get this telephone number. U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Your Local State Department of Transportation These are the agencies you need to file with, average 2 to 6 weeks for processing, if you submit all the correct forms and papers. U.S .EPA. also requires the vehicle to be cleaned of foreign matter top to bottom before import to U.S.
  8. Holder met with the worlds leaders, he did not march with them. Him and O bamam still do not believe it was terrorists that attacked.
  9. Damn great deal! Oh Canada, customs and broker fees to U.S. than U.S. crap. But good deal for somebody.
  10. OBAMA ADMINISTRATION DEFIES FBI, OPENS BACK DOOR TO RADICAL ISLAMISTS A recent article in the Conservative Tribune reveals the Obama administration is actively working against the Federal Bureau of Investigation to support two radical Islamist organizations. Last month, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Muslim American Society (MAS) were declared by the government of the United Arab Emirates to be front groups for the terrorist organization, the Muslim Brotherhood. The FBI broke off contact with CAIR in 2009, due to their ties to Hamas, the terrorist organization that is an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood. Hamas controls Gaza. According to the article: So what happened when leaders of CAIR and MAS found out they were blacklisted from an Arab country? They ran to one of their biggest supporters in the powerful West – United States President Barack Obama. “The president is going exactly in the opposite direction of trying to stamp out terrorism,” said Rep. Michele Bachmann when she found out that the president was working directly with CAIR and MAS leadership in an attempt to get them removed from the UAE terror list and go behind the FBI’s back in doing so. State Department spokesman and White House puppet Jeff Rathke told reporters at a press conference about the meetings that, “The United States does not consider these U.S. organizations (CAIR and MAS) to be terrorist organizations.” You don’t say? One reporter even questioned Rathke about the frequent visits that the head of CAIR recently made to the State Department and the White House, Rathke told him that CAIR was just one of many “faith-based groups” that U.S. government officials regularly meet with. It is deeply disturbing that the Obama administration has created a “back door” through which it maintains a relationship with terrorists, allowing them to bypass the FBI entirely.

  12. Thanks, probably won't be til March except for the balance of my vehicles and weld shop equipment. Oh and the Mail box holder in my avatar photo.
  13. Exactly correct, the cam and a few gears for the DD accessory drives are different, the balance of the internals are the same. Paul
  14. Well we should have been moved to Fork Union this week, lucky us! Still trapped on L.I. with new Suffolk County / New York open space rules going in effect on the 15th of January. Makes selling our 2 of our 3 houses harder. So after talking with my wife, our lawyer, my accountant and useless the reality person here is the new plan. The Township of Riverhead, Suffolk County and the Village have so much to say about selling farm land . So my wife and I decided we are going to make the NIMBY's lives oh so much better. (not!) The house and 1 .5 acres was split off the main farm acreage so We are having all the paper work drawn up today to donate the house and 1.5 acres to the Jehovah's Witnesses. THEY will make the area soooo much better than a dirty old farm. The remaining farm acreage in Riverhead I'll chainlink fence off and just pay the taxes on it as undeveloped acreage, which cuts the taxes by 40 +%. The house in Shirley we will list as a long term rental for the families of the teachers at the Dowling Aviation School by us. The house in Oyster Bay has been rented to the same people for 9 years so we won't sell it for now. I agreed to sell my 51 Vicky my 1948 WLA or my 1950 FL and my Valkrye which will makeup about half of the loss on the farm house.
  15. She was married to Robert Kulp from I Spy, so I guess she knew something.....
  16. Actually the Unions killed them off. A driver could not do the "mechanical" conversion to either configuration. Kind of like having needing a member of Electrical Workers Union member to move a box of Romex laying on your length of pipe in N.Y.C.
  17. The truck looks good for as long as it sat. An other place for DD parts is Marine yards, the 8 V 92 engines were used in a crap load of boats from pleasure to commercial boats. Cammed different for a narrow power band but that is about all. Most all cooled with a stand alone fresh water system and a fresh to salt heat exchange. Just FYI for an option for parts. Paul

  19. I copied one I used to pass on the way to the Marmon Gathering in Denton, TX. at a yard full of retired oil field trucks, trailers and stuff. It was the heaviest DM-800 I ever saw. Hard Bar, 14x24 rubber, 8 spokes and a triple rail chassis.
  20. I use all kinds of "exotic" stuff. Dirt from my driveway for dust, metal filings from my lathe or grinder to make real rust, even some old Venus Paradise Color pencils and John Gnagey Learn to Draw chalks from the 50's. All good stuff my mom let me see and stashed away til I was older. http://s79.photobucket.com/user/41chevy-photo/media/Caterpillar/2003_0209Image0006.jpg.html http://s79.photobucket.com/user/41chevy-photo/media/Caterpillar/2003_0209Image0009.jpg.html http://s79.photobucket.com/user/41chevy-photo/media/AutoCar/AUTOCARFULLLFT.jpg.html http://s79.photobucket.com/user/41chevy-photo/media/AutoCar/AUTOCARRTFRT.jpg.html http://s79.photobucket.com/user/41chevy-photo/media/MACKS/d3.jpg.html http://s79.photobucket.com/user/41chevy-photo/media/MACKS/d6.jpg.html
  21. The trailers were owned, and designed, by Kenosha Auto Transport, founded in the 1930s by an entrepreneur named Nick Demos. In a hugely competitive world, Demos knew how to stay alive and solvent. In the years before auto carriers became highly specialized haulers you had to hunt for business. Deadhead runs were money losers. So Demos decided to build his own haulers to maximize the opportunities for available load-outs. He called them convertibles, a name that had little to do with the soft-top automobiles that K.A.T. was contracted to deliver to dealers. "Demos designed these trailers himself, so the trucks could haul new cars going one way and other things coming back." The trailer as, essentially, two separate components: The chassis and cargo well that carries containers inside its well; and the racks on which some cars can ride. What Demos did at K.A.T. was make the racks demountable, and capable of being stored flat inside the lower part of the trailer body. say this Nash delivery was headed to New England. Instead of heading back to Wisconsin empty, the K.A.T. rig would swing over to Bridgeport, Connecticut, where International Harvester assembled its Metro line of step vans on a dedicated line. The auto racks were removed and a pair of new delivery vans went into the trailer well. There was more, too, because the K.A.T. convertible could also be configured as a straight flatbed. Thus set up, these rigs enabled the company to do regular hauling new Elgin street sweepers east from the California plant where they were produced after the outbound load of cars were dropped off. Other K.A.T. haulers picked up loads of pleasure boats from their manufacturers and dropped them off on return journeys. All in all a pretty good idea.

Not me. I don't trust any one to take care of my life and family better than me. Paul
  23. It's air brushed Lipton tea squeezin's When I came home from my Asian Army Vacation it was given to me to do as therapy to make my arm work better, I never really stopped. Now when my wife puts on the T.V. or plays here on line games I go in my work shop, put on as she calls it "my shit kicker" music (got to have steel guitars and banjo's) and relax for a few hours.

Here is a bit of back story on this woman and her group. They advocate calling the police if you think somebody has a weapon. Say they are using it to threaten people and hang up, as was done in WalMart when a young man who purchased a pellet rifle there was in the store, or the kid target shooting with an Air Soft rifle on his family farm in Kansas. Her Theory is that if enough children are arrested in zero tolerance zones and arrested or shot by LEO's for even playing with anything that looks like a weapon that people will clamor for all guns to be outlawed. As for the Idaho incident, tragic? Yes. How did the child get it if it was secure? Why was it combat ready? Safety on? Seems likely it was not. Most important did she have any training more than how to load it? Most likely not. Ask anybody from Australia about their weapons laws, you can not own any weapon not even a knife, a stick, pepper spray, a personal Taser, mace, anything like that for self defense. An armed Islamic jihadist named Haron Monis walked into a cafe in Sydney recently, and took the customers hostage. A police siege ensued. Ho urs later, the police stormed the cafe and found Monis had murdered two women, Tori Johnson and Katrina Dawson. Senator David Leyonhjelm of Australia’s Liberal Democratic Party says he believes lives could have been saved if someone in the cafe had been carrying a concealed weapon. I am armed and have been since the Army trained me in 1970. I made my wife in 1976 get NRA firearm safety training and my sons when they turned 16. We all go for a NRA refresher every 2 years. We will not rely on the government or the LEO to protect us even if they could.

In the current zero tolerance world, such an act would result in the boy facing numerous felony charges (exact charges depend on state laws) including weapons theft, unlawful possession of a weapon by a minor, illegal concealed carry of a weapon, carrying a weapon onto school property, assault, and brandishing. He would face a felony criminal record and mandatory expulsion from his school… and this is the kind of behavior that gun control supporters are hoping that children will emulate. The producer and advocate Rejina Sincic (queen sincic) should in my opinion receive a gift of many felon charges starting with endangering a minor a go from there.
