A lot engine parts. I have no idea what or how much parts were accumulated.
  3. I'll know what trucks are due after I attend the NYC Toy Fair in February. I bank rolled a hobby shop in Glen Head N.Y. 27 years ago and that allows me to go as a buyer. Paul

  9. How about their Junk Yard Dog with the dented fiberglass? An other big dollar e bay kit.
  10. Try with the puller on it with tension, giving it a few shots with a) your hammer or with an air hammer. Some times with the tension from the puller and the shock from the blows it will pop Paul
  11. Dave has beautiful kits. I just got all my Christmas presents from him. Couple of cab conversions. Paul

  14. Coming out very nicely! I drove one of those for Grummans Aerospace, was a lot more comfortable than their Astros. Paul
  15. European regs, weed burner exhaust only and no external horns allowed at the time.
  16. Here I thought Dandelions were only good to make wine!Tires made from dandelions could be available within the next five to ten years according to Continental Tire’s senior vice president of research and development. Increasing demand for natural rubber has lead Continental to look for alternatives, and dandelion roots have become a leading research area for the firm who are developing a new product called Taraxagum. Unlike rubber, which only grows in tropical regions, the Russian dandelion is found across the globe and represents a more ecological solution to increases in demand for natural rubber. Rubber plants yield 1.5-tonnes of material per hectare and, following extensive development, dandelions are now capable of producing a similar crop making the possibility of mass production of a more sustainable tire likely, whilst also placing less dependence on traditional raw materials. Because of the high proportion of natural rubber needed Continental has produced a number of winter tires using the dandelion root rubber in order to fully test the new concept. “We have tire tests in progress with Taraxagum and the tires are showing the same characteristics as regular tires,” said David O’Donnell, Continental senior vice president of R&D. “We will be ready to have a production tire in the next five to ten years, and will then gradually introduce it into volume markets.”
  17. I'm glad I didn't have to adjust it all
  18. 1930's Fordson /Wilford Shovel conversion. Used Fordson engine, trans and differential as basis.
  19. Go to Mexico...they'll almost all here anyway
  20. Early to mid 1960's MACK/ Bernard Trucks.
  21. Since the White House already has Hillary as the successor to King O's throne, we'll be saying the same thing. "I never thought anyone could be worse than bama"
  22. Here is a few more conversions. The Shovel used the Fordson engine and drive train. The company was started by one of Henry Fords cousin. The square track job is British and was made in the late 30's for the Military for trench digging. Ended up farming it appears.
  23. My cousin moved up to the town of Hunter N.Y. in 1981. On 23A and Wrights Road west of the town. He was doing MACK engines, transmissions and rears for both Burly and Pete Horan on L.I. and ran the Town of Hunter Highway repair shop. You can sit on the front porch and sigh in on skiers on the mountain or sit on the back porch and sight in on deer. Paul
  24. I have Matco and Snap on come to my yard. I feel that buying from them benefits both sides. They own the franchise and the profit they make supports the local economy directly. I have Craftsman I got when I was 12, SK, Mac, Matco, Snap On that I've bought over the past 40 plus years, Bonnie and Plumb tools I inherited from my dad. I learned you get what you pay for.I do have some China tools, my small engine crane and engine stands and some misc tools I bought to use a few time or modify for a one shot job. Basically it comes down to personal preference and convenience. SEARS for me is a 65 mile round trip, HF is about the same I don't have a few hours to spend, when I can call my Matco or Snap On rep and get it ASAP. Even in a jam I can hit NAPA or ACE for SK and have it delivered.
  25. Ever notice the mayor, the president and media act exactly like a lot of the minority baby mamma and baby daddy people? No blame on them. No responsibility, it's where they live, the schools failed them, I spent all my Bama money on crack, it's because I'm black so every body picks on me. They burn and loot the businesses in their neighborhoods and whine because "we got no stores to shop at, the business owners are racist against us" Want to live on the dole? than you get your tubes tied or your nuts cut off. Want food stamps? than work the value of your freebes off. Show responsibility, work ethic and that you can take care of your selves and you'll get a leg up to better your self. Want to get any assistance? Get drug tested. You fail the test, everything stops and you will work off what you've taken to that point. Not a citizen or legal immigrant? no aid, no work and you get caught once your gone, caught again? life in a labor camp counting sand in Death Valley. Nice dream but never happen it's only going to get worse. De Blasie makes Dinkens look like a good mayor. Obama? 50 minutes on Castro and 30 seconds on the murdered police. NY media? They're all about the unfair grand jury and the "alleged suicide" of the cop killer. Pataki put the blame on the mayor and the mayor says " Patakis in out of touch with reality" (?) Blue Flu? stay home, let the mayor and sharpton handle it all.
