  1. I got somebody to buy our houses here so we can move, on the wish list. Paul
  2. Those seem to be more of a east of the Mississippi type unit. Most Fuel Oil, Lumber yards and Grocery haulers were either Jimmies, Dodges or Fords here back than. Paul
  3. Looks like the Volkswagen Amarok midsize pickup. How about a manufacturer making a plain basic pick up. I personally don't need carpets, leather a holder for my I pad and 60 cup holders to carry parts and equipment around. Simpler to refurbish my 88 Dodge and have a truck that's a truck. Paul
  4. Don't forget to tell us how to do it too.. Paul
  5. 1962 My Pop West Hampton Dragstrip 1975 me and 55 1983 with 320 GMC 6
  6. One is a six wheeler, one is a ten wheeler as I recall
  7. LONG AS YOU KEEP YOUR SMILE
  8. On the island here it's all espanole and ebonics
  9. The '55 has been in my family since 1961 when my pop built it to run d/gas with a 331sbc and a 3 speed stick. I bought it in 1970 re-powered it with a Hilborn injected 427, 4 speed and ran b/mp and ran a ton of Bethpage Burger King , Connecting Highway and North Conduit street races. By than it was running a 4/71 blown 400 small block and a Vitar Clutch-Flite. Went back on the track in 1977 as an h/gas running a 320 GMC six and 4 speed. Last time it was out of the garage and off the trailer was in 1986 when Suffolk Dragway changed hands. I'd let you adopt it but you have to sign over your soul and more
  10. I've recently sold off most of my cars My 71 Challenger, 71 Duster 55 Dodge, 74 El Camino. 70 Monte Carlo, 77 Eldorado, 41 Chevy rag top, 63 Corvan, 81 Jeep J-30. My 47 Ferguson, my 65 Dodge Coronet wagon S/SD, 51 Victoria, 66 Valkyrie, 88 Dodge and 55 Chevy gasser may be sold too. I haven't decided if I want to move them all to Va yet.
  11. G O O G L E Translater
  12. Wonder how much of a "cash incentive" his buddy Lord O gave him to go green . . .$$$$$$
  13. LUCKY YOU!! Have a safe trip and lots of fun. Paul
  14. I put my fryer in the middle of a 25x25 pad. Put the turkey in cold fryer and just cover with oil plus and a 1/2 more. Remove turkey and Pre heat oil to 325, I lower the turkey and basket in with a Gaffe hook very slowly takes a minute or so to stop spitting. Slip the gaffe off and put on the lid. Screw up and you'll get severe burns or worse. You have X gallons of oil @ 300+ degrees and a turkey @ 45 or 50 degrees. Been doing Fresh Turkey, Fresh Ham, Clams and Twinkies this way for 5 or so years.
  15. In the Urals, the city Revda, truckers have organized the wedding procession of long-haul tractors. As clarifiesRevda-info, organizer of the wedding and also trucker admitted that he recently got married and wanted to "roll" their wedding on trucks, but did not have enough time to prepare. That is why the wedding fellow colleagues from long range brotherhood transport company rolled out three tractor (fortunately without trailers) which brought the newlyweds and guests directly on the square in front of the registrar.Judging from the video, a resounding buzz festive trucks will long be remembered ... For residents Revda motorcade were involved bonneted truck Freightliner cabover and a pair of Volvo, decorated with balloons and satin ribbons. Advice and love!
  16. Guess I shouldn't tell you I ran a '56 Safari wagon in a demo derby at Riverhead in 1970 than. There was 5 or so Nomads that ran as modified production and gas classes on L.I. in the 70's all 1955's too. Never thought the Pontiac was worth any thing as it wasn't a Nomad. Nice build. Is that the AMT one? Paul
  17. Nice!! Arriving in a Freightliner with a pair of Volvos, I hope the marriage lasts.
  18. It's better than sex, beer, sippin whisky hell it's just plain good.
  19. This is my "Holy Grail". The car is in the rear bay of the service center near Pilgrim State Hospital in Commack. It's partially disassembled and has been since 1973. It's just as the owners son left it. He was killed in a motorcycle accident. His dad keeps it clean and it will never be sold as long as the father and younger brothers are alive. Paul
  20. Even with all I've sold this year I doubt I could afford it! Paul http://www.barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Details/1955-CHEVROLET-CUSTOM-2-DOOR-POST-179962
  21. All have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. For our members on the road tomorrow, thank you. Getting ready here, got my fresh bird (Freddie) soaking in the brine sauna and in the morning after a few hours in fresh brine it goes out to the back yard and into deep fryer. Paul
  22. THat is one of the nicest conversions I've seen, all proportional. Sweet. Paul
  23. I've seen that happen more than once and not just trucks. Lyster Oldmobile ~ Pontiac in Glen Cove shut it's doors when GM decided the dealership was too small and too old. They opened their doors in 1926. The parts stock in the loft went from pre WWII to the late 60's, tools, machines and about 50 years of dealer signs. All scrapped and destroyed. Nothing and I mean nothing was sold or given away. The family stood there and made sure every thing was trashed. Makes you wonder what the hell people think.
  24. Can't blame him entirely, Media gives him a pass, the House and Senate talk into a tin can but do nothing for fear of losing their positions, the people do nothing for fear of being racist or worse. If the first time he sidestepped the laws and he was slapped down for it we would never be in the sh*t now. Where was the pubic out cry and protests like other presidents who screwed up got? The more people kept quiet the bolder he got. Now we have his immigration policy in effect, how come the people aren,t out in the streets about it? How come the Republicans and Courts aren't slapping it down? Afraid they might not get re elected? Going to lose money and aid for their states to "Help" them? Or just plain chicken sh*t ? Watched Hagal resign over Obamas International Policies. White House Spin Masters say Kerry may replace Hagal and move Jessie Jackson into Kerry's post. Here's positive for ya...giving us the finger since 2008
  25. That much blow by, all the additives in the world won't help. They may actually add to your problems.
