  1. Well, since the White House was bragging about the President is now ultra powerful, with his new 11 million member strong of his "Ghost Army" to do his bidding. In case you do not know the presidents Ghost Army is the new "Citiizens" he made and the new wave of "political refuges" he is allowing in from Salvador, Guatemala, Columbia and Mexico with his executive fiat. So many add ons and give aways, that is why there was very little coverage on the English language channels and press. I fear we have reached the tipping point where it will soon be impossible to get better. Paul
  2. From the tree line, I gather it is in Israel?
  3. Here is a photo I took of the V12 in Mr Craigs GMC at the show. Almost 1/2 is under the cab. Twin Six is a tad over 4 feet long less the fan. Side note is total production of the V-12 was 5000 engines, 90% were stationary engines for irragation or Gen sets. About 8% were in the GMC/ Minuteman Miscle Haulers, the balance were in commercial trucks. There were 4 Twin Sixes for sale in Denton, Texas near the Marmon Home Coming show, two years ago. All were stationary units, it was $1600 for all. With their unobtainium wrist pins, pistons and weak crankshafts, probably get 1 rebuilt runner out of them. Paul
  4. Never could figure how a lot of places like Suffolk County the showed that vote 125% of the people voted for him.
  5. HE has, He's is making us pay for being Americans. Now his "new 'mericans" can get all the freebees they were NOT eligible for as ILLEGALS
  6. I run Lucas in every vehicle I own.
  7. It was for ease of maintenance and cost effective. A few mods and a different hood stamping and you had a COE. Floors were bolt in so short stamp the floor and add a dog house. Joe, my REO was a 40 something mile truck. Needed a set of tires and paint. Rack body dump leaked a bit from the lines but minor. City "Hunters" shot up the glass, hood and doors and broke every knob and gauge in it. I was so angry I cut it in half and loaded it in a trailer with my scoopmobile . Took it to Gershaws. Forty years of use and no vandalism, one week in the fall and all went to hell in a handbag.
  8. Some times it's as simple as dirty or corroded reed.
  9. Front brakes appeared as an option in around 1920 on the 5 and 7 1/2 toners and standard on all after 1928 with the Bendix Vacuum Assist System. the front brakes were cable operated. My 1933 ,'34 and '35 have 4 wheel brakes the 1929 had them at one time and my 1928 never had them. The internal brake drum is behind the wheels on the Big Sprocket end. From my catalogs
  10. The E series cab came out in 1940 and ran at least to 1956 or 1957 when they merged with Diamond T and went to a one piece windshield on a similar style cab. The last photo is of my "late" model after the kids vandalized it and before I scrapped it. Paul
  11. The dual distributors were OEM off a common drive with the Advance in the drive. Pics are easier to explain it. main parts Twin Six ready to go in 1947 GMC COE Hot Rod
  12. 1941 Evans Rail
  13. I'd trust Putin more than Obammama. Paul
  14. Originally they came with a pair of Rochester 2 barrels. That engine had an intake adapter to run on LNG. The piece in the back is the drive and advance adapter for the pair of 6 Cylinder distributors. Made in stock form about 250 275 h.p. @ 2400 rpm and 585 or 630 pounds of torque @ 1600 rpm. weighs in at a tad over 1500 pounds. Thunder V-12 makes a high performance Twin Six Magnum 956 cubes 500 plus h.p 735 pounds of torque @ 5000 rpm to the tune of $10,000 starting with your engine.
  15. Tommy Ivo's 1968. Ford made a similar set up with the original Econoline. Paul
  16. Was a crap load of them on Eastern L.I. used for Potato Harvest until I.H. and GMC became popular in the 50's. Most of the L.I. trucks had a local built side dump body on them. Paul
  17. 702 c.i. Twin Six V 12. I sold one a while back to a hot rodder for his project.
  18. America at it's best! We went from Earth bound to the Moon in less than ten years. All my AC's have internal expanding service brakes at the rear wheels via foot pedal; and mechanical linkage and some have Bendix assist. The auxiliary brakes are external contracting at the drive sprockets via hand lever. Paul
  19. Stokes had a coal yard and barge piers in the Bronx near the Erie Lakawana and NY Central Terminal Market. May have had a second in Brooklyn near the LIRR barge and rail terminal.
  20. Tapered Roller didn't click for some reason. Probably better in the long run to replace it. Paul
  21. Chill it in the freezer for a few hours, some times it will give a small bit of clearance needed to remove it. Paul
  22. Get the optional laser sight, helps with them f a r a w a y toe nails.
  23. Forgot Obama's ghost army of new voters....6 or 7 million "new citizens" who owe it all to Obama and Hilary.
  24. I actually wanted a Laguna nose, even hard to find 1979.
