  1. The breakers with out reset buttons reset them selves when they cool own. Both types of breakers use a Bi-Metallic strip (like in the old Chevy Chokes). At a specific temperature the Bi-metal strip opens the breakers points to cut power to the circuit. On the "automatic breakers when the Bi-metal strip cools, the points close and the circuit becomes live again. My B61 has a mix of both types of breakers because they have been changed over the years.. Paul
  2. Thats it and I'm waiting on Alba at Mahans , still no answer to phone calls at haul of fame
  3. The small tank behind the Diesel tank, is it fuel or Propane? Paul
  4. Whooo Wheee! A straight stack B with an open header FE! Who could ask for more!
  5. From the man who gave us the "Wolf Wagon". Interesting concept. Apparently the military has some as there's an early M-113 being loaded on one. The Tractor is powered by twin 6-53 or 6-71 D.D.s They run on a single engine until more power is needed. The second engine kicks in for an assist. The trailer is also powered and can be used for an assist when needed. Paul
  6. Nice photos and nice area your in. That RB Air start? Paul
  7. Drool, Drool, Drool.
  8. You know that titanium one weights 14 ounces with a wood handle for $89, You an buy a Stanley 14 ounce for $24 with a fiberglass handle and a lifetime warrenty, so whats the advantage? Showing people you got took? Paul
  9. That was one of Six in a yard in France and I understand all were sold or scrapped along with quite a few MACKS. Frenchiemack on here knew about them.
  10. Actually there is a big difference. . . the GMC has all the nuts.bolts and washers installed. Seriously I will give Cat credit for increasing their product line and sales potential on a global field. A few companies here should follow suit. Paul
  11. Look what they give to the people of OZ! A Paystar with a different grill.
  12. CHICKEN.
  13. Ability to change ratios easily. Generally a single sprocket change to go up or down on ratios. Less chances of parts breakage before Metallurgy caught up to the needs. An axle will snap under extreme stress, a chain will stretch. MACK AC, FK and other models until the 40's, Pacific 26 ton tank transporters, Sterling and Peterbilt up to the late 40's all had chain drive as standard or an option. Pacific M-26
  14. After 50 years the Chrysler Pentastar is put in the trash. Can't anything be left alone? http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2014/11/03/with-little-ceremony-fiat-chrysler-automobiles-drops-pentastar-logo/?refer=news
  15. even our draws so they can stick it to us again!
  16. Called and left message with the Yawoski's and E mailed Mahan's. Got home a few hours ago. Hit the N.Y.C. Marathon traffic which added 2 hours to go from Jersey to the Nassau / Queens line. No Email messages, no phone call from Haul of Fame, no Bull Dog Magazine and dropped my Ditty Bag and broke a 1/2 gallon jar of Pickled Eggs and a bottle of Virginia Gentleman. . . 510 miles to die falling out of my sleeper on the cold ground of L.I. Paul
  17. $3.47 for e10 reg gas and $3.67 for diesel on Long Island and it went down a lot too. Wait for the Northern Gateway pipeline to the Pacific (for the Chinese) to get done in Canada sinice Lord 'O' keeps stopping the Keystone pipeline and watch the cost go up.
  18. $100 additional for left handed option.
  19. Go to an old fashioned auto glazier shop and they will most likely have the channels , wipes and slider seals. That is were I got the odd channels for a 74 El Camino slider. Paul
  20. They come to the house in Shirley. Sadly after the 2009 incident when a Trick or Treater about 15 years old showed up dressed as Obama and I called him a name and slammed the door shut. I am now forever banished to the den for the rest of the Halloweens. Paul
  21. It's good and bad. I never really search Craigs or Ebay but the few I've bid on I'll generally give a heads up on here for others members to know about my bid. Heck I even have backed off bidding because another member already was bidding on the item ( the Corbitt is an example) If I do really want an item I bid the maximum I'm willing to pay and hope I get it. Paul
  22. I'll shoot them an E Mail before I call Haul of Fame. Thanks. Paul
  23. I have a dumb phone so it's useless to me https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mack.digitalmagazine.bulldog&hl=en
  24. I have an Accusump Accumulator on my Dodge, Marmon and Autocrar. Cheap insurance in general. The accumulator holds a few quarts of engine oil under pressure. Turn the key to start and the unit pre oils the turbo and the top end. On start up the engine refills the accumulator for the next start up. I added a toggle switch to cut power to it's solenoid after initial cold start. My thought are if in doubt swap it out. Paul
  25. That's it. I knew Mahans ended up with a lot their trucks. Kind of hope that they didn't take this one. I know that the AK Crane Carrier went there. Anybody have an address or contact for Mahans? Paul
