  1. Course not! The mice are all in the heater box wiih their feet up watching you, smoking a butt and getting a buzz from the fresh scent
  2. C.F. Turbine powered units.
  3. Very rare White. even the Cummins is special to it. Laid about 30 degrees over to the passenger side.
  4. Rare White 3400 TD truck was different from the standard 3000 series in that the cab was raised, a large interior dog house fabricated necessitating the raising of the passenger seat, and two large radiators mounted behind the cab to effectively accommodate the Cummins NH-180 or the NH-220 engine. This was White's largest truck in the 3000 series and referred to at the time as 'King of the Highway'.
  5. The light looks fantastic. Paul
  6. 1919 MotorAge AC Wrecker ad. Shop built Ral-Hist Fuel Oil Tunnel and Bridge MACK dragging Brand X semi Log Rig Tow Unit B-81 Auction Photo
  7. I use Bac-Out Stain and Odor Eliminator from Bio Kleen. since every old truck I get has or had mice in them. It's an Enzyme based cleaner that neutralizes the mouse pee smell. I get it on line from http://www.swansonvitamins.com/ But any enzyme based odor eliminator will work. Hit Wal Mart or a pet supply for a pet odor eliminating product. that is enzyme based. Ken a mouse will get in if there is a hole Dime sized or larger. Use a mouse trap or the sticky glue traps or last resort. . . Elmir Fudd and a Putty Tat. Otherdog, we got them rascally ground hogs here, my Bassets love them...UmmmUm. Squires no problem, it's Raccoons that are the problem, must have shot 15 or 20 of the so far this year, and still they come. Paul
  8. Great photo and nice to see the Steel Mill was saved. The steel from Bethlehem and the sand from Port Washington / Roslyn L.I. are tied together 95% of the sand in NYC concrete came from here. Any more info on the Museum? Paul
  9. The seems to be correct shape Coach Senior Series. The 7 1/2 ton Cargo truck you are doing apparently has the "peaked" radiator like you've made, at some point the radiator design was changed to the "rounded" Coach style but the MACK logo is the same. Here is a pic of a 1909 MACK Coach Senior on the left and a 1909 MACK Junior. Same radiator shape as the one at the California Motor Museum not Owl Head. Paul.
  10. Never saw one before or the aluminum upper grill. One of the members in our Antique Power Equipment Club worked for the I.H. dealer for almost 40 years, even remebered the farm trucks we had. I'm going to put the glass nose question to him.
  11. Story time. It's got to be a good one to enjoy. Paul
  12. Glad to have ya here! Paul
  13. 1961 V 200 series with an LV-401 carb governed, 4 speed with creeper low and 2 speed rear. I have the original 5 speed that it came with, Grandpa wanted the creeper gear to stay with the pickers. Originally bought as a semi but also had a harvest body put on it at times. Just under 19,000 original miles mostly idling in first in the fields. Kemps was listed as a Tiltmaster with an aftermarket fiberglass hood. I never looked over the truck close at the auction aside from a cursory look at the fiberglass hood, so I don't know about the cab tilt. Ernie , I.H. had a Red Diamond FBC/RD 401 6.6 liter and an RD 406 6.7 liter. Both sixes were in production at the same time. In the mid 50's to confuse us even more, tossed in the LV 401 V-8 like my truck has. Paul
  14. Good score! Paul
  15. Nice units! Welcome to the site. Paul
  16. Sounds like feed back through a bad or dirty ground. Paul
  17. I looked through my crates of photos and fount this photo of a 1909 or 1910 MACK bus that was at the Owl Head Show California Motor Museum in the 1990's. Hope it helps you. The logo script appears the same on the MACK I.D. Tag on the pre 1925 AC Macks . Paul

  22. Syosset Chrysler Plymouth had 3 in the back lot for quite a few years, couldn't give them away.I friend bought one for dealer cost and converted it to a GTX. Tossed all the aero stuff in the dumpster. Heck I ran a mint 1956 Pontiac Safari Wagon in the Demo Derby at Islip Speedway, it wasn't a Nomad so who cared If we only knew . . .
  23. mrsmackpauls article says it was a VTA28 Cummins
  24. A hard choice, but on the bright side at least the truck isn't going to be worked to death and abused. Paul
