Crown actually replaced everything behind the drivers compartment with a Fruehauf or a Trailermobil box. As for road train, the Nestle on in South America has a pintle on the tail for a dolly and a pup trailer, similar to what C.F. did in the 50's. They probably never caught on because of the reluctance for companies to try something new and the normal dislike of rear engines for maintenance issues. As for a search for it, I use Google Earth to find old units. Paul

Obamamama did / does what he does in every crisis. . .campaigns, plays golf, goes to fund raisers, vacations and claims he never knew about it til he saw it in the newspaper. 6 to 8 weeks it'll be one of the last 2014 models. Funny with this thread, I went to the NAPA store a little while ago and asked for a pair of group 34 batteries for my Dodge. The counter person asked me if I knew what the part number was (?). The computer didn't go back to 1988. My question was "they are group 34 batteries you don't have any?" He told me " I need an application to get a part number from the computer but my truck is too old and not listed".

Doesn't go far to instill a lot of confidence in the dealership though, still better than the Ford and GMC dealers I went to. More truck for less money. Spec'd out to $33,000 less tax and charges, with rebates and discounts went down to $25,800 less tax and charges. Paying cash the dealer eliminated the transportation and dealer prep charges. Salesman crapped himself when I opened up a brown paper bag and gave him a $6500 dollar deposit. Priceless

Went I bought my D-150 in 1988 the salesman asked me "what are you going to use it for?" and than made suggestions of how to option it out. When I went to Dodge uh RAM two weeks ago with a list of specs for a 2500 4x4 from the Dodge site, the salesman had to find out if the stuff was available... took about 3 phone calls and finally to the Dodge Ram site. Freely admitted he knew nothing about truck sales. His previous position was arranging financing. Paul

That's part of the problem. The ad person when they're not snapping a few pics and filling in the computer generated form, most likely is the dealership gofer. On the salesman side, no knowledge of the item only how much commission is in it for them. A prime example is Home Depot. To work in a department like Tools, Electrical or Hardware Home Depot requires a Degree in Marketing NOT practical Knowledge of the things you are selling. Vehicle sales is measured on sales drive, not knowledge of what you sell. That's is long gone. Paul

Senator Rivera (D) wants legislation passed to allow non citizens to vote in elections, get drivers licenses and get access to public programs like Section 8 housing assistance, SNAP, Medicare and SSI. Requiremens? residence in N.Y. for 3 years and a promise to try to become a citizen. Paul

If you can't buy them at the dealer try Radio Shack or a store that sells scientific or educational toys. I used them in my race car. If you cut the it has to be a square cut and the end has to be polished so the light doesn't scatter. Dealer is probably your best shot though. Paul

Not True!!! Dodge guaranteed my 440 six pack and gave me the same guarantee on my 340 six pack. Chevrolet also on my 454 Monte Carlo . . .You blow it up, We garantee you will have to pay for it. Blew up the 340 at 55.8 miles. the exact distance from the dealer to Hamptons Dragway plus almost a full 1/4 mile.
